It was spotlessly clean. Better than many 4* hotels I have stayed in. The staff were beyond exceptional, nothing was ever a problem. From checking in to leaving - when they even organised the taxi. Breakfast was 5* service. The staff came to your chosen table and took the breakfast order of your choice and service was almost immediate. The only thing that puzzles me, is why has this lovely place only 1* rated !.

Stayed at the Hostal La Isla twice in one week. At the beginning and at the end of the week. Whilst cycling around Menorca in between. Both stays were excellent, the staff were very friendly and the accommodation was very clean and tidy. Would recommend this Hostal, very good value for money !

We loved the location and the staff were extremely helpful. It also has a small café for a very reasonable breakfast. The rooms are very modern and comfortable with high quality bathrooms. They are quite small but more than compensate for this by the location and other aspects. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again on our next visit.

Great location. Close to the port and easy walking distance to centre of town and sights. Clean rooms with good clean bathrooms. Well maintained, so everything worked as it should. Room was perfect for stay.

Noisy with fellow guests and front window has smoke waft upwards. Hostal had signs about keeping noise down. So can appreciate noise is not their fault and they’re trying to address the issue.

Great location, very very friendly and helpful staff with a 24/7 reception. I had to adjust my booking via email and every time I had contact with the staff whether email or in person they were kind and helped me. The room was well done, clean and modern. Everything worked and the hot water and water pressure in the shower were excellent! There was lots of shelving to lay my things out too.

The breakfast options were a bit small - a croissant with choice of marmalade, chocolate spread or cheese - I hoped for some fresh fruit, yoghurt, eggs or cereal. But the coffee was very nice and there’s a supermarket around the corner where you can get things. There are some guests who smoke out of their window, so I did not like the smell coming into my room even with the window closed.

Inexpensive and clean, despite having to book 2 rooms because of cancelled flights. The reception was nice and gave us recommendations for walks and food. The rooms were comfortable and clean. AC and free Wi-Fi is also available. The breakfast is in the range of 3-6 euros.

The shower water comes a bit out towards the sink and the bathroom does not have a good ventilation. Other than that everything else was great!

Very clean, cleaned daily! Thought the location was perfect for strolling around without having to go far to hit up some restaurants. The workers were sooo kind!!

The room is definitely small but really you don’t spend a crazy amount of time in there.

We found this gem of a hostel last year when we visited Mahon for a couple of days and liked it so much we have returned again and brought more family along. The hostel is spotless, the rooms are comfortable and well presented and the staff very friendly and helpful. It's an easy walk from the city centre and all attractions.

There is nothing we didn't like about the hostel.

Location is great and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is available on demand and they have a good selection available for reasonable price.

Given it’s high season the price for the room is higher than what you would usually pay for such a room (however, that’s everywhere in Menorca). Parking can be difficult given the location.
