Apartamentos Agua Marina

These apartments are in the old town of Puerto del Carmen which we found to be great and it felt like we were in a small Spanish village and not part of a large tourist location. Our apartment was 208, a very quiet location and it overlooked the harbour which we found perfect for people watching. The apartment had everything that we needed and was very clean with comfortable beds. Some improvement work was being undertaken during our stay but this didn’t interfere with our enjoyment. The staff were all friendly and attentive ensuring that everything was ok for our stay. We didn’t use the pool so cannot comment on this but it looked clean and inviting. Wonderful bar over the road which served amazing food and the staff are very friendly. Small supermarket next to the bar which has all the basic items. It’s a 15 minute walk to the main tourist area if you prefer a livelier day/night out. A great walk on the coastal path to Puerto Calerjo.

We couldn’t find one thing that we didn’t like about the property.

Absolutely loved the location of the Agua Marina appartments. The swimming pool area was gorgeous. The view from my balcony was lovely..overlooking the boats in the Marina and the sea further in the distance. It was so peaceful and beautiful sitting out on my balcony at night time. I loved the Old Town!!

I was in an appartment on the basement floor so as people were walking past, they could stare in at me when I was out on my balcony! No real privacy! I would choose a room higher up if I was to return here! I would definitely recommend these appartments, they have the true authentic Spanish character. I would love to go back to them in the future.

We had an apartment on one of the upper levels, so we had great views over the sea. The apartment was spotlessly clean- the cleaning staff were great-and towels and sheets were changed twice during our 7 day stay. We cook often on holiday and there was everything we needed except for a potato peeler, which we bought.The pool and surroundings were well cared for and a great sun-trap. The area was generally quiet with little traffic, being a cul-de-sac and the apartments had a good level of security. There were recycling facilities onsite, which we appreciated. There is a very good restaurant just across the road.

Can't think of one thing.

We arrived at 10am and although check in was 2pm we were given our key to our apartment straight away. The apartment was nice, lovely balcony with a table, chairs and sunbeds, had a lovely view from the balcony, our beds were made each day. We also had use of the swimming pool. Pool and area around it was spotless. Near small supermarket also and some Irish pubs. We had a late flight home and were allowed store our luggage there, also they booked a taxi for us to get to the airport.

We were a bit far from the beach, we had thought we were going to be closer. It was tiring walking in the heat to it. I had planned to go to the market on the Friday but was very disappointed to find our it is no longer on. We went to the one in playa blanca but had to get a taxi there as the bus was full when it arrived and driver didn't stop to pick us up.

The apartments are located just above the harbour with the sea view rooms offering great views. They are located in a quieter part of the old town but with restaurants, bars nearby and a small supermarket across the road. More choice of restaurants, bars etc are a 5- 10 minute walk away and a livelier selection about 15- 20 minutes away. It was a lovely and quiet location. Beaches are clean and good. Apartment was comfortable and clean in a nice setting.

Individual wi-fi in every apartment, so no problems with speed or connection. Full electric oven and hob. Located very close to the harbour, with great views and no hills to negotiate. Small supermarket across the road was very handy for everyday shopping. Small apartment complex, 20 apartments at most. Cleaner came every day but didn't see her after the first day. She quickly realised that I was not an early riser, then came in the afternoons when I was out - Other places should learn from this. Estefania on reception was always very helpful.

A microwave oven would have been handy, but not necessary. Coffee machine, but no kettle. Kettle provided free of charge by reception on request. Both of these were small things which did not affect the quality and enjoyment of my stay.

Absolutely lovely from start to end. Helpful and friendly staff, beautiful layout and decor. The apartment was extremely spacious, well equipped and excellent value for money. A short walk to town, with the beach in one direction, and a sublime cliffside walk to the other. Very quiet at night so slept undisturbed on a comfortable bed. Will be visiting the area again just to stay here once more.

The pool was fairly cold (for springtime temperatures) but hardly an issue.

The apartment was very clean and spacious and the views were amazing. The kitchen was well equipped with hob, oven, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster and plenty of pots, pans and utensils for cooking. The location was perfect, overlooking the harbour in the old town with great bars and restaurants. Super coastal walk to Puerto Calero (a small harbour with lovely restaurants). You can get the ferry for 9€ if you don't fancy the walk back! .The new town, beautiful beaches (with sunbeds) and many bars and restaurants are a 15/20 minute stroll beyond Hotel Los Fariones. Fantastic stay. We'll be back.

Nothing

It's so serene, very scenic. Beautiful spa like facilities and everything was spotlessly clean. We didn't want to leave.

The only suggestion I have is a facility to keep your luggage and a bathroom. We checked out at 12pm but our flight was not till 6. Only we had family staying an extra night we couldn't use the bathroom and would have had to keep our luggage at the pool with us all day.

Everything was good, we had a lovely time. Place was spotless, great view from the balcony, very spacious apartment. We would love to stay there again. Lots of nice places to eat within the vicinity.

Would have liked a Bar or restaurant at the property. The pool was very cold. Lost one of the keys and it cost 50 euro to replace it. Taxi rank was a good walk from the apartment We got told off for feeding the little parrots.
