Lack of water of 2 bottle of water for 2 persons. Parking expensive

The location is great because it's on the beach but also on the main plaza across from the castle and church. It's walkable to everything downtown. Parking was full at the hotel, but parking at the marina is cheaper (11 euros a day vs. 14)and I didn't have trouble getting a spot even in August. The showers are outstanding; possibly the best shower I've seen in a hotel.

This hotel was very posh when it was built and still retains that dark wood, Spanish grandma decor. The Playa hotel is renovating their rooms to probably appeal to a younger clientele, but the Duque is still traditional. Not that it's a bad thing, just an interesting observation.

Everything. The staff were friendly and genuinely helpful. The location was excellent.

My only nit was that our balcony was “spilt” because of the shape of the building. An opaque glass separated us from our neighbor. Unfortunately our neighbor the final few days smoked like a chimney making it tough to sit outside or to leave the balcony door open. I recommend avoiding any of the x02 or x04 rooms if that sort of thing bothers you.

The Duque is an outstanding hotel. The staff are great and attend to guest needs promptly. The hotel sits right between two beaches, has an amazing pool and lounge areas. Rota’s castle is right across the street and there are many excellent restaurants with just a few blocks. Also, for a small town, there are now many great little shops for clothing, shoes, beachwear, souvenirs…etc. you can take a ferry to Cadiz from the pier just outside the hotel, and there are many great day trips from this location…Gibraltar, Arcos, Rhonda, Jerez…there is also a water park and zoo nearby.

Amazing and beautiful hotel, few meters from beach and from main "plaza", so lot of restaurants in touch. Nice and clean room, with big beds. Beautiful pool (I cannot have chance to try it but it looks nice and clean). I hope I will come in future again.

Only one thing was loudy sewer in shower, so when I come to hotel and take shower, it made a noise so maybe I woke up neighbors :D

Stayed last year and property is in a fantastic location on the beach. Room smaller this year but had a fantastic big balcony overlooking pool and sea. Half board this year. Very well selection of breakfast and dinner

Excellent location on the beach. Breakfast was delicious and staff very friendly

I booked breakfast and $25 had board but the hotel didn’t recognize the half board saying it was only offered in the summer. I’m not sure if this was a hotel issue or booking but i was not happy!!

the hotel is located right on the beachfront and we had a lovely view from our private balcony. it is also in easy walking distance of the town so we could go for coffee, meals, and shopping.

We didn’t love the breakfast buffet. the coffee machine broke one morning which wasn’t their fault but a hard start to the day.

Spacious, charming environment. Very good restaurant with a beautiful terrace overlooking the ocean. Friendly employees. Perfect location right on the beach and steps away from the historic old town.

Everything about this hotel is outstanding. From the staff to the facilities and especially the location right next to the beach.

The cost of the breakfast was a little high for the product given.
