easy check in, larger room than expected- I was in a single room but the bathroom was spacious and plenty of storage for my luggage. location was very convenient for taxis and buses, the beach was 1 minute away (you can see the ocean from the dining area). pool area was nice and the buffet breakfast was good. overall, great value for money.

There was no air conditioning, so I slept with the window open. However, there is a karaoke bar that closes around 3am and when the customers left, they could be a bit loud while they were waiting for taxis. Shutting the window shut out the noise, but in the hotter months it might not be possible to do. I recommend to bring earplugs.

The place was lovely, the bed was huge and so comfy. Lovely airy room and plenty space for the 2 of us. The breakfast was great, cooked and continental was on offer. A lot of choice. The Hostal was in the perfect location, in the middle of all restaurants and shops but it was quiet when it was time for bed. Couldn’t of wished for a better location. The staff were so helpful and friendly, lovely people. The beach was a stones through away as-well. I would definitely recommend this Hostal and I would visit again.

The aircon was on high and it hardly made a difference, not very good when it was so warm, but we managed to have a comfortable sleep.

I loved that I had a sea view. Especially as I live in London! The room was small but cosy. I was not provided with any hand soap nor shower soap, both dispensers were 100% empty on arrival. I had to go and buy some.

My room's (room 227) door (and my bed's headboard) were located 50 centimetres' (1/2 metre's distance) from the elevator's door. I kept waking up EVERY SINGLE TIME anyone came out of the lift all throughout the night, which made it impossible for me to sleep. People came out of the elevator singing, shouting, jumping, dancing, and even breaking glasses.

The hotel was 2 minutes walk from the beach, bars, restaurants, market,everything is around really. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable,we had a large teras for the room. Aircondtions are in the rooms aswell which was very important in that heat. The pool was quite big outside,nice and clean, we paid for the taxi around 40 euro from the airport to the hotel, as it was night time and the bus running until midnight only, but back to the airport we took the bus which is just outside of the hotel, bus L24, and paid 4 euro. I would recommend this hotel, If I gonna go back one day, I'm sure I would book the rooms in Hostal Mar y Huerta.

Well probably not much to do with this but we did not sleep from the neighbours much, especially when they start to moving the furniture in the middle of the night and the floor is screeching, everything can be hear, also I missed at least a small fridge to put food or drink inside to get it cold in that hot weather but otherwise I liked this place so much

Location, room was lovely, shower great, bar staff great, all staff great , pool area great , and chef cooking snacks at lunchtime and location is spot on

The towels are really small no big towels

Second stay here and it’s not changed so really just to repeat my last review. It’s a perfect location just across the road from the beach and central to shops, restaurants and bars. Comfy beds and good breakfast with choices from continental style or cooked. Pleasant and helpful reception staff as ever and free parking which if you hire a car in Es Cana is helpful as street parking is almost impossible due to the number of cars. Overall a really pleasant stay and will probably stay again.

Location excellent ; easy to take the bus, taxi or ferry. Staff really nice. Prices in the bar more than correct. Terrasse big enough for all people staying in the hotel and enough sunbeds as well.

First i thought it is a pity no fridge available but you can rent it (like iron etc) So good system in the end.

We've stayed at this hotel many times and the service never disappoints! The location is perfect, just a short walk from the main bars, restaurants and the beach. Buses and taxi's can be located within a very short walk. The hotel is always clean and well maintained, it certainly deserves more than the 2 star rating which it currently holds! All of the staff are exceptionally friendly and very helpful, especially Sara (on reception) and Gary (the chef). The breakfast (which was included in our stay) was great, with plenty of choice for everyone. It really is a little gem and we look forward to returning again next year! Thanks everyone :)

There wasn't anything we disliked!

Stayed during a quick visit to Es Cana. It was perfect for our trip. Basic room but clean. Bed comfortable. Central location near bus and taxis. Beach across the road. Great view from our balcony. Breakfast okay. Nice pool although we went to the beach. Enjoyed the quiz and happy hour in the evening.

No air conditioning - I am sure you can hire a fan. We were okay in September but may be an issue for some in July/August. No fridge - again I think you can hire one for your stay. Our trip was short so did not bother but would be good for water etc.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make me comfortable. The hotel was small but ideal for me especially as it was just across from the beach. Breakfast was very good and was always hot. I just had bed and breakfast but the snack bar was incredibly good. Garry the chef, again went out of his way to make sure the food was delicious . Sarah, the receptionist and barmaid, Sonia, went over and above to assist and serve. The two young boys behind the bar in the evening were very funny and humourous. All in all this was a fantastic place to stay with nearby amenities and a 12 minute walk to the Hippy Market. This was my second visit to the Mar y Huerte and I have already booked for next year

The bedrooms were basic but I found that the cleaners made the beds but not much else. Like cleaning the wash hand basin and ignoring stains that I had accidently made to bedside table leaving everything stickyThis, however, has not deterred me from returning.
