The Elephant Stables

It was our first time in Kandy and the hotel was in a good area just outside side main town. We stayed in the Royal Tent which was great value and added to the experience. The room was good size and all modern fixtures like you would expect in a hotel room. On greeting the staff was welcoming and assisted with all our needs wheather it be in hotel or outside. If you want hiltop hotel with a differance rather than a standard hotel give this place a go.

Only issue is I wish I had one more night to stay there to experiance it more.

I don’t usually write reviews but for Elephant Stables, I had to! The property is absolutely beautiful as are the views from the site. It’s incredibly peaceful and just a wonderful place to be. The rooms are clean, nicely decorated, well equipped and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly. More importantly, the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast provided was also absolutely wonderful. particularly the potato curry! We really enjoyed our time here and didn’t want to leave!

The hotel is beautifully decorated and the staff are warm, friendly and attentive. We stayed in the family tent and received excellent service from the small team. The food was exceptional, some of the best we have had in Sri Lanka and no request was too big or too small.

We had a minor issue with monkeys breaking into the tent, but this was quickly remediated by the staff.

We loved our stay here. 1 night turned into 3! The room was gorgeous and facilities very good. The food was very good also. The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for us. We highly recommend Elephant Stables. It had an amazing view, one to the city centre, but felt miles away and very peaceful. Lively to relax by the pool.

We loved everything, especially all the people who work there, the service and food is awesome.

The one and only downside is mosquitoes (we lived in a tented suit), but after our complain they fixed this problem on 90%, and the other is noises at night. dogs are barking all around the mountain where the hotel is. but it is also because of the tent where we lived. i would definitely return there, but i would stay in the main building

The hotel itself including the tented suite which was very spacious and clean. The srilankan breakfast options are a must-try. Very friendly and accommodating staff

Although we liked most of the foods, the a la carte menu was over-priced (USD denominated).

The beautiful view over Kandy, the employees - especially to mention Nihal who was extremely friendly and helpfully, and last but not least Indika who cooked us the best fresh curry’s we have had in Sri Lanka. A very good retreat to enjoy after a busy day in crowded and exiting Kandy.

The staff are very friendly and accommodating, the chef will do his best to make sure your requests are met. Joel the manager went above and beyond to help with anything that we needed. Overall a great stay!

tent was a little noisy with wildlife! I imagine the hotel rooms would not suffer from this.

Very beautiful place and amazing views. The rooms were really nice and comfortable.

They were on very skeletal staff and didn't have the restaurant operational. This might have been due to the covid restrictions. I was slightly baffled that they didn't have a card machine and getting so much cash to pay was challenging
