We had an absolutely delightful stay at First Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality and warmth of Manju & Shashi made us feel incredibly welcome. Their flexibility and attentiveness to our needs were truly exceptional. They were so kind and friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and convenience throughout during our stay, making it feel like a home away from home. Moreover, the location was incredibly convenient, especially being close to the airport. Our flight was scheduled during the late night and they helped us to get a transport at 3 am to the airport. We can't thank them enough for their outstanding service and making us stay so memorable. We highly recommend First Hotel to anyone looking for a welcoming and convenient stay with exceptional hospitality. Thanks a lot guys You are welcome to visit us anytime

I want to share my impressions about Hostel First. I chose it because I was looking for a hotel closer to the airport. I liked that the workers were very friendly and ready to provide support in all matters. They have a very nice backyard that looks out onto the lagoon. Gorgeous view! I did not have time to see the city, but in 20 minutes by taxi you can get to Negombo beach, a very beautiful, clean sandy beach. Definitely recommend this hostel for tourists. Take sunscreen with you!

Everything was quite good

Hostel first was a great place to stay. The hosts picked us up from the airport late in the evening which was very helpful. The building is very nice and clean, our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We had aircon and a lovely bathroom. The breakfast was very nice. The hosts were very welcoming and kind, and gave us great travel advice. We were only here for a night but would definitely recommend for longer!

This hostel made my last day so memorable. Sana who is a very friendly guy and the in-charge of guest relations is so welcoming. And Gayan who is another boy in the hostel who is very helpful. It felt like a second home away from home. I cannot express through words how I felt being there, it will indeed remain a beautiful memory for years to come. Every moment spent there was a part of my solo-trip that was really very introspective also.

It was so introspective. Just one feedback, the one key worked for cupboard, so just keep it handy and if possible make keys of others cupboards. Otherwise, thanks to Gayan & Sana :))

Stuff are amazing very helpfull

Evrything was fine was painfull to find at 5 in the morning specialy the only signe of the name of the hostel is in sitting room parked there

The hostel was very clean & homy with a beautiful sitting area. Breakfast is provided (toast, jam, butter, tea, coffee, fresh fruits, ...). On my first day I even got fresh pineapple juice. The dorm has four beds and AC as well as lockers for the backpacks. You can refill your bottle with clean drinking water. Sana (the owner) is really nice and can gelp you with planning trips in Sri Lanka. He can organise cheap transport to the airport with Tuk Tuk and helps you with any question you have (e.g. bus station, ...). I felt very welcome and it was perfect for my stay since it's close to the airport and has 24h reception.

Very nice and friendly people. Nice view on the Negombo lagoon.

There's no mirror in bathroom of the shared room in the garden. The wifi was bad, but they told me they did fix it now.

Everyone working there was really kind and helpful. I stayed for one night in mid of april 2023. I was the only guest there when I arrived and was immediately treated like family. I had a bed in the dorm, which was nice and clean and there are also nice and cosy common areas to use.

About 10 to 15 minutes by tuktuk\taxi from the airport- good location if you need somewhere to stay the night after a late night flight. Staff were really helpful with giving me instructions on which bus to take to my next destination :) Thank you so much!

There was a frog in the bathroom (it was raining outside so it was sort of expected to have creatures coming indoors, not the property's fault tho! :) )

The staff is absolutely brilliant! Went above and beyond. Talked with us about where we should travel from a locals perspective, we went out exploring the city together as a group and even made a local dinner together ❤️
