Hotel Soder is a well priced, extremely clean small hotel. The owner and staff could not have been more helpful or more friendly during our stay. The internet was great. Coffee and tea and crunchy crackers are available all day and the (hot and cold) breakfast was extremely tasty and extremely generous. Situated in vibrant Sodermalm, supermarkets are just around the corner and the hotel is a short walk (of about 15-20 minutes) past cafes and shops to Gamla Stan, the boats and the buses and to greater Stockholm. We could not fault this hotel, recommend it and would stay again.

The hotel was in the basement which seems strange but there were high windows in the room (although you could not open these). The room was small and functional with a good en suite shower bathroom. Comfy beds and good wifi. Perfect for a couple of nights. Good communal sitting area with a nice continental and cooked breakfast which had many options. Entry to the hotel and room was via door codes so there were no keys which we thought was good. We would stay again. Thank you.

Reception closes at 5pm and since I informed the hotel well in advance that we would not be arriving until after 6pm, they said they would send me all the information about how to access the hotel and our room. I did not receive any information, even though I asked twice. In the end we arrived at the hotel and pressed the buzzer, waiting at least ten minutes before someone answered and buzzed us in. Once inside I had to call a Swedish phone number to get the code to our bedroom. Luckily I have a phone plan which didn't cost me anything extra, but this is not ideal if you do not want to spend lots of money making calls to find out how to access your bedroom.

perfect location, not so noisy but close to public transport, restaurants, shops... kind staff good breakfast really precise and practical instructions about the route to the hotel coffee and tea available for free 24/7 I think that the best value for the money

I do not prefer so much soft bed and pillows - this is based on preference but this I found a bit uncomfortable for me. Perhaps some option for opening the windows - we were unable to open windows and take fresh air into the room

Very nice place to stay for a city trip. Nice rooms, can enter/leave easily on your own. Nice decoration and clean interior Had a lovely chat with the owner, a nice gentleman who told us a little bit about Sweden and the surrounding area. We were there for a short stay but will come back next time, no doubt.

We had a small room for 2 people. There isn't much more than the 2 beds, a cabinet and the bathroom. Didn't realize that just from the pictures. This was perfect for us as we just needed a place to stay before heading out into the city - good to know before booking if this is what you're looking for.

Friendly, efficient staff was very professional, the room is nicely decorated and clean. Breakfast puts other hotels at this price point to shame, with great selection and convenience. Hotel's location is just up the street from Slussen along Götgatan, the Ginza of Södermalm, close to subway. No kettle or coffee maker in the room, but both are just around the corner in the breakfast nook, 24 hours a day.

The very convenient neighborhood is getting better, but still a bit sketchy. Rooms are in a semi-basement, so no view. No room keys, everything is by keyed-in code. All of this was expected, no surprises, and the hotel has systems in place to deal with potential issues.

We had a great stay at Hotel Söder. It's in the basement, so there's more of a view from basement windows. But we knew that beforehand. We Had a room for 3 which made space for bags and clothes a little tight. But that wasn't bad. Our room faced the courtyard, so it was very quiet. Everything else was wonderful including the staff and breakfast. Thank you again for the nice stay. On the day of departure, we were able to leave our luggage at the hotel also after check out.

Maybe a bit more space in rooms from 3 persons. And storage space in the bathroom Like a shelf.

Bed was a small single but so comfy. Very clean room. Very good shower. Hairdryer in bathroom. Had all I needed for a weekend stay. Really close to everything for sightseeing. . Good choice at breakfast. Friendly staff. Water cooler you can refill your water bottled with.

This is not a complaint but just to make the reader aware- For information: there is no concierge so you let yourself in by a key pad. Same for your room. Rooms are v small but compact and spotlessly clean. It is in a basement so the high window is street level. I did have a worry at first but that soon disappeared once we had been there a night. Felt safe.

The gentleman working the front desk was very nice and welcoming. He went over the top spots to visit first time visitors to Stockholm and gave us restaurant recommendations. The rooms were on the smaller side but we still manage to sleep 3 comfortably. The bathroom was a good size. Unfortunately we had to leave early the next day and was unable to experience the complimentary breakfast.

The rooms do not have air conditioning and the specific day we were there, it was in the 80s. There is a window you can open at night and a fan to help cool the room down a little bit.

Central position in a very lively and young neighborhood, fair price compared to the crazy average in Stockholm and at least the bathroom is private and the couple bed is not divided in two singles.

Very small room, the hotel is on a -1 floor so the window in the room is pretty small and only covers the upper part of the wall.

Great localization and kind people on reception. Room was very small with funny view, but we knew that, when we chose this hotel. Extra point for free coffee during whole day.

They gave us printed instructions about our stay. There was writen, that breakfast is to 9:30. We came few minutes earlier and we cant found food. Everything was done. That was big disapointed for us.
