The breakfast was amazing. The staff was really warm and helpful. The location is absolutely perfect. The hotel itself is beautiful, a redesigned very old building. you can feel the history when you walk through it.

The room was quite small. The shower had no pressure, the water just kind of fell, and it didn't get very hot, just warm. They put us on the first floor so it wasn't a big deal for us, but they have no elevator due to how old the building is, and it's unusual layout. That could be an issue if you were on higher floors and had lots of heavy luggage. These were relatively minor negatives for us. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a historic hotel which has recently been tastefully refurbished to a high standard. It was in a brilliant location on the water's edge on one of Stockholm's main islands. The metro and bus stops are on the doorstep and ferries to other islands and tourist attractions just a short walk away. One of the highlights for us was the breakfast, an amazing spread of everything you could possibly want; fruits, cheeses, hams, bacon, eggs, vegetables, juices, breads, pastries etc. The staff were helpful and charming and the food delicious.

Our first room was so small that one of us couldn't walk around it without asking the other to move. The staff were very helpful in finding us another slightly larger room for our next two nights. Both rooms and bathrooms, however, lacked drawers for storing clothes and large enough shelves for wash bags etc. Also, the hotel lacks a lift. Our first room was on the 4th floor! Small rooms and no lift come with historic hotels, but we're getting to the age where such things are beginning to matter.

Location was excellent. Staff was very nice. We arrived very early from an international flight. Staff let us relax in the bar and brought us coffee and a snack while they got a room ready. Hotel itself was very old world. No elevator, but charming. Vibe in the area was fun. Provided breakfast was wonderful. It was buffet style in warm, historic street side room. It was a perfect introduction to Stockholm.

The room was SMALL! It was all very modernized in the bathroom, but in order to use the toilet you had to open the shower door. The space was just small. It was clean and newly tiled, just small. The bedroom had one side table the size of a dinner plate. The bed itself was very comfy, but it completely filled the room. It was very high off the floor and I am short. I had to throw myself into it and work my way up. Once I was in, it was great. There was nowhere to put luggage. All these negatives do not change the fact that I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Loved the experience.

The staff was superb. The receptionists extremely helpful, friendly and professional. Real sweethearts! Similar about the breakfast/restaurant/bar staff. Breakfast is beyond sufficient. Elegantly presented. Delicious, quality food. Loved the idea of using a cooking pots to keep the warm dishes warm. So homey!

Obviously the lack of an elevator. The bathroom in our room was a bit narrow to feel comfortable getting out of the shower. The noise from the street could be perhaps mitigated better by a different type of windows?

Such a great hotel! It’s compact but very well designed. The restaurant is beautiful and if you’ve seen photos of the breakfast you have a sense of how epic it was. The bar is supremely cozy & a nice place to relax after sightseeing. The staff was very friendly & helpful and it was easy to store our bags before checkin and after checkout. The hotel is right next door to the Slussen metro station & we loved being able to run downstairs and hop a train in just a couple of minutes, it was so convenient. We could also walk to Gamla Stan in about 10 minutes. We stayed in the bunk room & it was so much fun, it’s like sleeping in a stylish train car. I’d only stay in this room if I knew my travel companion really well, it’s a very intimate space & you have to keep it tidy to be able to move around. The beds were beyond comfortable, I now want the same bed at home! Bathroom was beautiful & the water pressure & temp was excellent. I highly recommend staying here!

We stayed on a holiday weekend and our room faced the street, and the revelry did breach the otherwise excellent windows. Earplugs did the trick but something to be aware of. Also, the blinds are thick & insulated but light seeps in through the cracks on either side, so pack an eye mask if you need a completely dark sleeping environment.

Staff were lovely, check in was easy, and it was great to be able to leave our bags there in the morning so we didn't have to carry them around all day. The room itself was incredibly comfortable with some really lovely details. The bed was amazing - we had a great night sleep. The breakfast was delicious - a really great variety. Location was perfect - right between old town and the buzzy high street shops, plus 8 mins from Central Station on the subway. All round, a really great stay at a lovely hotel.

I'm incredibly happy we chose Frantz Hotel for our stay in Stockholm. It's conveniently located (10 mins on foot to Gamla Stan and 2 mins away from an underground station), and ticks all the boxes - comfy room, VERY clean (I think it's one of the cleanest rooms I stayed in), kind and helpful staff. The breakfast was out of this world, absolutely amazing choices and variety. Yes the room was small - but we knew what we're getting into based on photos and description, so no surprises there. The bed was however a very generous size and quite comfortable. And the room was very beautifully designed and everything was thought of. Would definitely stay again!

Very nitpicking - but the room we had was facing an inner courtyard and it got a bit noisy from 6-7AM with trash pick-up and suppliers. Just bring some ear plugs. Also the room has a phone to contact reception - which is great, except that the display of this phone turns on automatically in the morning at around 8AM - and it's pretty bright. So if you're a light sleeper, just block that off with something so that it doesn't bother you. Other than that really nothing!

I've had a great stay at this wonderful boutique hotel on my recent business trip to Stockholm. Although the room was quite small, it felt really cosy and offered everything I needed. The breakfast was exceptional and I loved it! I really enjoyed the cosy bar that felt so homely! The bartender Cassandra is such a gem, it was a fantastic evening. I'm visiting quite often and this could be my new go-to hotel when in town! :)

The airconditioner in my room struggled to warm it up, but it wasn't a too big of a deal.

Our room was very cosy. The breakfast was delicious.

There is no elevator in the hotel. We had heavy suitcases that had to be dragged up the spiral staircase to the third floor. My husband still has back pain. Unfortunately there are not enough bedside tables in the room; at the entrance there are no stools or a table. Nowhere to put your personal belongings, even hats, scarves and bags when you come in from the outside. Even in the bathroom there is also nowhere to put clothes, when you go to the shower. They do not provide slippers and bathrobes. Although the room is very nice, clean and beautiful, you have to put your things on the floor.

The hotel's aesthetic is great. We enjoyed a drink in the wine cellar round the side of the restaurant and the breakfast was great.

The rooms are a bit small. I moved furniture around to accommodate our suitcases to lay on the floor. For the price I was expecting water, tea and coffee to be provided in the room but I don't think there's space for a small sideboard to accommodate that. Luckily breakfast starts early for those of us who need coffee to get going.
