Breakfast was superb! A lot of so various options: vegetarian and hot meat, lactose free and dairy products, gluten free and bakery. I have a lot of allergies and can confirm that there's enough options for practically anyone. Receptionists were also very nice and helpful. Rooms are pretty small, but that's clearly stated in the description and that's totally understandable for a price for such a hotel. Economy on the least necessary things - and a good value for money as a result.

The communication via email and phone before the arrival was quite slow and the contact people were not always helpful. That's the most obvious thing that can be improved in my opinion. Aside from breakfast the restaurant doesn't offer a wide menu. And WiFi option could be annoying, since the hotel decided on an open network over a password protected, which means you'll need to manually connect each time you return to the hotel (and those open WiFi connections sometimes don't work). It wasn't a problem for me because I'm from the EU and have free roaming, but those who don't have, be careful.

Well appointed near Slussen metro, walking distance to the start of lots of boat trips. We had and a view of the water (if you crained your neck to look out of the window). The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I've ever had. Lots of hight quality ingredients: lovely fresh fruit/salad/compotes/gorgeous bread/cream cheese, nice juice and coffee - even iced caramel coffee. The downstairs bar was nice for a drink - recommend the Italian red. The room was clean and had everything we needed.

I booked the property because of photos of the view of the water from the rooftop bar and couldn't wait to use it. It wasn't raining but was a little cold, however the bar was closed due to 'cold weather'. I think it could have been open - I noticed outdoor heaters. I would have liked a kettle in the room to make tea.

Excellent location, close to subway and ferry and easy walk to Gamla Stan. The hotel was very clean and is also in a good area for shopping, bars and restaurants nearby. The breakfast was excellent and I would say overall great value for hotel stay - I would definitely recommend staying at the Scandic Sjöfartshotellet!

There is a lot of construction going on in the area of Slussen, but no fault of the hotel. While the staff was very helpful, I would say they did not try to engage or offer sightseeing tips/advice which would have been nice.

Loved this hotel, we had 3 rooms with balconies overlooking the harbour , beautiful view Very pleasant to sit in late afternoon. The breakfast was excellent with very good variety. Train station small walk away. Ferry also very close that took us to Abba, Skanson and Wasa museum

The only disappointment was the bar area on the top floor only opens in summer. This may have been an advantage to rooms on that floor as it would be noisy. They don’t do twin rooms so you need to have an extra bed which cramps your room.

The breakfast was good, with plenty of vegan options (although it would be great if they’d be more clearly labeled). The staff was friendly and the room was clean and quiet. The hotel is located close to lots of great restaurants and shops.

Make sure to read the room description very carefully! One of the beds in our room was a creaky pull-out bed that was quite uncomfortable to sleep in, the mattress wasn’t that great and the bed squeaked every time I turned. The room was quite small for two people with the pull-out bed open.

Staff at the hotel were very friendly and made us feel extremely welcome. The room was nice and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent - a wide variety of different foods were available and it was all extremely tasty, the fresh smoothies especially. The hotel location was really convenient without being too noisy, even though there was building work going on nearby.

There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room which would have been nice to have but not a deal breaker.

horrible early checkin policy. I was with a tired child and we arrived at 12, 3 hours before checkin time. the room was not ready. ok. so we had some lunch. at 1.30 they said the room was now available but we would have to pay 150SEK to get in early. WTF? This is pure money grabbing and v sad to see when you have a tired kid on your hands. no flexibility. its policy sir. Well, scandic, your policy sucks.

The staff was extremely kind and accommodating. We arrived earlier than expected and our room was ready with an upgrade! We were traveling for a mini-honeymoon that saw our little siblings tag along and the staff surprised us with an upgrade to rooms on the top floor that gave us magnificent views and weren't too far from one another. We were also surprised by a board of fruits, snacks and bubbly to celebrate just getting married! The breakfast was delicious and had something for everyone; the restaurant was also beautiful and large enough for travelers and local groups of all sizes to partake in a wonderful meal - we saw big groups, families, friends, partners, and even neighborhood construction workers all sitting comfortably and enjoying their scrumptious breakfast. The fitness room was very well equipped to allow for light or true workouts. The saunas were large with well-maintained adjoining shower rooms. While the rooms were narrow, they still were very spacious. I couldn't recommend this hotel enough!

Housekeeping was kind, but were very pushy on cleaning up rooms. We weren't scheduled to check-out until Tuesday, but on Monday afternoon when my teen sister took a midday nap while I was exploring the city with my husband, housekeeping came in the room (despite a do not disturb sign on our door) and took her key card. For a young girl to wake up and see that her key card was missing and things had been moved in the room, she was very frightened. Thankfully we realized it was housekeeping and the front desk gave us a new key card for her, but it was a blight on our stay.

Loved the onsite car parking. Loved the nautical theme throughout the entire hotel. Even our bathroom door had a porthole. The room was small, but was comfortable and cosy. We had a kettle delivered to our room when we asked for one. The bathroom was good. The breakfast catered for all kinds of diets. You must live in a castle if you find the breakfast lacking. All staff were pleasant and wanting to help. Great location to nearby attractions. Ferry boat across to ABBA museum....must see.

Just loved the place. Very very good, nothing I can think of to complain about.

Overall great stay with amazing breakfast. Nice spot between hip neighborhood and the old city. And even if next to the building they are creating a huge tunnel we weren't annoyed by the noise, quiet hotel in general. Even though it's expensive for what you get... that's Scandinavia! everything is over priced 😝

They didn't took care of the plates- glasses on the breakfast buffet. I had to change 6 cups in order to find a "not stained" one. And the plates had the same issue. Maybe it's a washing machine issue but it's a bit of a turn of, when you are excited to eat in the morning, to find so many stained kitchenware in the stacks .
