15 minutes walk to viking terminal and the break fast is excellent. I have booked one double room with bathroom and one double room with shared bathroom. Upon check-in I asked if there is one more double room with private bathroom and how much more to pay. the staff checked and generously offered a free upgrade for us, though the room maybe a bit noisy sometimes as there was road maintenance work nearby. it turned out ok and not much disturbance. Also you can get water and tea begs from the share kitchennett which is very convenient.

the chair inside thecroom suddenly collapsed, fortunately my sister was not hurt. The hotel arranged to replace a new chair shortly.

What a location!! Adjacent to the Ersta Terrass cliff, the hotel overlooks much of the central Stockholm archipelago. The bus stop at the bottom of the hill (two minutes walk) has continual services to the transport hubs of Slussen and Centraal and there are eateries, a pharmacy , convenience stores and a small supermarket within easy walking distance. The hotel provides a perfectly adequate breakfast and as a venue for the four day training I attended it was great to be able to stay onsite. In addition the location made accessing all the key attractions of Stockholm an absolute breeze (I'd certainly recommend an SL transport pass for as many days as you're visiting the city - we found it superb value for money.) The room was clean and comfortable.

The wifi was very unreliable and super slow. I opted not to bother and used the eSIM I'd purchased prior to travelling. Others at the training said the same thing. While the centre has a long and clearly illustrious history, there's a bit of a sense that the Ersta Hotell & Konferens hasn't quite worked out what it wants to be in terms of a facility in the 2020s. If you're happy to accept these quirks - and we were - it is a great place to stay.

We arrived hot and bothered after walking from the Viking Line terminal.( It's a short walk and fine for able bodied people (we are 50+ and not fit) but we'd already had a long day and it was 27⁰Celsius). The concierge was lovely and kind. The rooms have high ceilings, kind of old-fashioned but very clean. we had twin beds which we didn't mind. they were very comfortable and I slept the best I have since we've been in Europe. There is a small shared kitchenette and balcony. There are beautiful views and it's cool (we are here in early September when the days were 26 degrees celsius). We were fortunate because hardly anyone seemed to be there. I was worried because a very loud wedding party had started their reception nearby and I thought I wouldn't sleep. But the soundproofing was excellent and we could hardly hear them once we shut the window. The breakfast is fabulous and we loved our stay. I read other reviews criticising this hostel, but it is shared facilities/a hostel so I think their expectations were too high.

The only thing is the slippery bathrooms. I recommend getting an extra towel and using as a bathmat. once wet, the bathroom floors are treacherous. I did wonder if it was very full if we'd sleep as well. We were opposite the bathrooms and could hear the doors opening and shutting...so I'd that went all night it could be hard.

Let's start with the most important thing: that breakfast! This was quite simply the best breakfast that I had during my time in Sweden and Finland and will set you up so well for the day that you won't need to eat again until the evening. The buffet's variety would cater for virtually all tastes and dietary limitations/preferences and the quality of the ingredients was outstanding. Mini meatballs (this is, after all, Sweden, but the meatballs are clearly not from IKEA)!!! Smoked salmon, excellent quality cold meats and cheese, fruit (including delicious local strawberries, ripened in over 18 hours of midsummer daylight), yoghurts, eggs, salad and pickled vegetables, plenty of choice in terms of bread and crispbread, as well as a selection of pastries. BRAVO!!! The hotel's location is also excellent, on a cliff overlooking the water, the Viking line terminal and the Gröna Lund amusement park on Djurgården island. It's an easy ride on the 53 bus from Stockholm Central railway station, from where it's less than a 5 minute walk (albeit up a rather unwelcome sharp incline). From the hotel it's an easy walk into neighbouring suburbs, including fashionable Södermalm. You can also take a 20 minute scenic stroll down to Slussen, which is a transport hub for Metro, buses and ferries (but probably worth taking the bus back unless you're fit as it's a bit of an uphill hike). By Stockholm standards, the hotel is well priced, and absolutely fabulous value for money when you factor in the breakfast. The unusually polygonal Ersta Kyrka (church) on the same site is an absolutely lovely, peaceful spot that's well worth a visit. The rooms are spotless and spacious - if soulless - and the black out curtains are so effective that you'll get a good night's sleep even in midsummer when the sun barely sets (a major consideration in the Scandinavian summer if you're light sensitive).

The hotel is a former hospital, and the hotel rooms and corridors haven't been able to shake that sterile ambience. If you enter via reception, the building is a confusing maze of staircases and corridors. Once you've been there a day, you'll realise that it's so much easier to enter the building via the side entrance by the restaurant where breakfast is served.

Great views, lovely location, gorgeous building. Super helpful staff, who stored our bags etc. Shared shower rooms and toilets which to be fair, were immaculately clean.

The room was basic, like a dorm, breakfast was quite frankly odd. Prinsesstårta anyone? Also super confusing as there were conferences on at the same time, it was quite unclear where to go and very little seating as the delegates arrived. Very much an event spot I think, but we rolled with it and it was the perfect location for the area we wanted. Not entirely sure I would stay again, if you're looking for a hotel experience, this isn't it. But it was fun.

The whole experience was perfect. We arrived very early in the morning due to our flight arriving early in Arlanda. We then left our luggage in the storage room which was free of charge and had some delicious breakfast. The staff was very kind and helpful, the breakfast was delicious and the facilities were in great shape. The beds were comfortable with great pillows and there was enough bathrooms/showers so we didn’t have to wait in queue. The location was very good and the views were impeccable.

We had to leave quite early in the next morning so we did not have time to sit down for proper breakfast as it started at 7am. We would have wished the breakfast would have started at 6:30 or so. However, that is an unusually early time to leave anyways so there’s really nothing the hotel can do about it.

The location got a great view on top of a height over the water. Calm area and beautiful houses in the old town areas. Many shops close by to buy some snacks. Had issues with the booking and got a better room, good customer service. Good breakfast with vegan alternatives as well. It was possible to eat it outside with their church as the view, our water view. I will definetly live here again and recommend it. Ersta is a Christian organisation having a hospital, university, church and other things close by. I love how they combine the hotel part with the rest of their organisation in a holistic way.

The hotel is located 15 minutes walk from the Viking terminal in a pretty monastery. You can have breakfast before the morning ferry. The buffet breakfast is quite varied. Very nice staff at the hotel. A beautiful courtyard with an observation deck. Nice quiet area, nearby there is a delicious cafe with meatballs. The room has a kettle, tea, coffee, milk. Rooms for 3 isolated, with a door. You can feel private)

The room was cold. There is no air conditioning. We had a 2-room apartment for 3 people, there was no light in one of the rooms, but I think this was a temporary problem, there were problems with electricity that day.

This Hotel is one of the best Hotels we stayed at so far. We stayed there twice and had different rooms. In the mainbuilding you feel like 100 years ago. Everything is nicely decorated. The breakfast was fantastic and they had even traditional Swedish breakfast cake. The staff is superfriendly and was always willing to reply our questions. Please note that if you arrive by car you should make a reservation because there are only very few spots. May is a fantastic time to visit with all the flowers. We hope we can return some day :-)
