The location is excellent. Rumblings from the Bahnhoff very loud, but the sturdy windowpanes did a good job of muting them. The self-checkin process felt a little sad and bare, but there was a warm welcome note in the room, which made up for it. We were delighted at the large room (family suite for 4 people) and the coffee machine and pampering kits in the bathroom. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very satisfactory and the manager polite and efficient.

Parking across the road in the Bad Parkhalle was convenient, but it might be a thought to offer guests a discount given that there's a bit of work involved in carrying bags across two busy roads.

1- Very friendly staff. Mr. Erhan was helpful by all means. Just based on the staff, I would recommend the place. 2- Clean. 3- The design, size of the room & facilities. The mattress was also to my liking. 4- Elevator. 5- Basel Cards. 6- Near the Basel station, and car parking.

1- Sometimes it gets noisy for being near the train station. 2- The walls are a bit thin. I hope the hotel profits more on the long run to invest in proper isolation. Also, writing a gentle reminder on the website that at least, after 12 midnat until at least 09:00 am hotel guests should be considering silence/the maximum amount possible to allow other guests to sleep.

Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They explained the bus / tram system to where it was easy to find the transportation we needed (with the provided city passes). They made a special effort to furnish lactose free options for a very complete breakfast. This appears to be a boutique hotel with unhurried, individualized service. The room was quiet (even while overlooking the DB) and had all the features we needed. Tram #6 runs every 6-7 minutes to take you to the Rhine River front or the Marktplatz.

I found mold under the suction-cup stars in the shower pan; a detail overlooked by the cleaning staff.

Great location, very friendly and professional staff, clean and comfortable room, very good breakfast. We arrived at 11: 30 AM and our room was ready for us. Free public transport with Basel Card which you get at the reception of the hotel. Basel is amusing city during the Christmas market (November 24 - December 23), our warm recommendation is to visit the city in this period. My special recommendation is for Spielzeug Welten Museum Basel, simply you shouldn`t miss it.

I have been in the hotel 2 years ago and they gave me a very nice, clean and big room. In this occasion, the room was really small, not renovated and a bit old, and not perfectly clean! Also the breakfast can improve with more salty food.

Large room to accommodate baggage. Very clean and tidy. It’s on the tram line so it’s easy to get on the tram and in 5 minutes be in the city centre. The staff are great!!

The bed was hard, they could have more plush mattress. The nearby car park is convenient but it’s not cheap, be prepared to pay in Swiss franks.

The rooms are comfortable, reasonably sized, and the location is very good if you arrive at the Badischer Bahnhof ("German" station), and well connected by tram to the Messe and to the city centre/old town.

The whole place feels very unpersonal, with no receptionist or something, and check-in and everything done thorugh a machine besides the door. This made things a bit tricky since two of our group of three arrived two hours later: We couldn't deposit a key card at the reception (since there is none), and they had to get new ones with the "lost key" function, obviously leading to my key being invalid as I came back, so we again had to get three additional new keys. In the end we had 6 key cards, some working, some not. There is definitely room for improving this situation... It does not really feel like a 4 star hotel.

Cleanliness Professional staff Met expectations

The « self check in » was a challenge, UX was not clear and I took nearly 10mn to get in (I work in IT) I believe that it would have been way more difficult for people not born with digital interfaces

Staff were particularly friendly and helpful. Easy for getting around and the Basel Card was greatly appreciated.

Bedding was too heavy for warm weather making sleeping less comfortable than it could have been.

I was well informed in advance that there was only a self check-in. The instructions were clear so no problem there at all. The room was really big, clean and great amenities such as coffee machine, tea and water (still and sparkling) as well as soft drinks for free!! Also, I knew that the restaurant would be closed but as it was just across the train station, there were ample places to find food. All in all - great value for money.

My room was street-side so the noise from the trams did go on till slightly past midnight but I was kind of expecting that.
