Our family of 2 adults and 2 children (<10yrs) enjoyed our 2 night stay in the Classic Family Room. The location is breathtaking. Perched on the mountain above the train station to the left. We had two very large suitcases that we had to roll up the hill. This was a little challenging and hot as this was in the summer (August). Though wheeling our way down to the train station was easy. There is even a little short cut after you leave the hotel premises onto the street - a concrete path that spits out to the train track crossing (follow the bear picture). Also a 10 min walk to the free Wildpark Brienz. Breakfast was included and had a number of options - cooked and cold breakfast, yoghurts, muesli, breads and pastries. It was quite warm in August so the kids really enjoyed the pool. The restaurant for lunch and dinner has an extensive list that cater Swiss and Asian delicacies. The food was very nice but coming from Oz, we couldn’t eat here every day. There is also a little playground outside the breakfast area that the kids used after breaky.

It was a bit warm in the room on the second level. However, there is a fan which helped. The couch is very small and could only fit two adults. TV could go for an upgrade. On the plus, we could still connect our Chromecast to the TV to use our Netflix and other streaming apps. Other places we’ve been to has the TV is locked where you can’t switch to other ‘source’ like HDMI and therefore can’t use Chromecast.

Amazing location and good facilities, we had everything we needed, the place was spotless and dinner was tasty with something ont he menu for all tastes. Our family room was recently refurbished and very nice. There was also a playground which was a bonus.

Breakfast was a little basic but did the job.

The location is absolutely beautiful, at the east end of Lake Brienz, with stunning views of the lake. The property itself is idyllic. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was delicious. I particularly loved the different kinds of bread. Having a room with a balcony, views of the lake and a hotpot (wooden hot tub) on the balcony was a big plus. It really does enhance one's experience. I needed assistance with the hotpot and service was provided promptly. The hotel boasts its own restaurant, but we didn't get a chance to try it. I loved all the traditional decor and the display of some of the property's history. Would definitely recommend this property.

No AC, but a floor fan was provided. Luckily, the temperature outside was pleasant, but I could see the lack of AC being an issue on hot days. The 2nd night, the hotpot water was cool (perhaps having something to do with the rain), and I wasn't able to use it. It was a bit disappointing since I had asked for an upgrade specifically so I could use the hotpot. The breakfast staff just didn't give me a warm and fuzzy feeling. Even though they were only cleaning up, a smile, some acknowledgment would have been nice.

We stayed 3 nights, had one of the suites (birds nest) with a hot tub on the balcony. Panoramic view of the lake, beds were very comfortable and the room had plenty of space. Seen a few reviews saying hotel is dated. However we loved the rustic authentic feel and is exactly why we booked here. We were not dissapointed. Amazing views and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice and also scenic views from the table. The onsite restaurant serves great food also, maybe a little overpriced but very nice food. Overall an amazing stay and we really enjoyed it.

The hotel has an excellent location surrounded by mountains and reiver Breinz.It is just 5 mins walk from the station.The staff was very understanding and helpful.In particular one of the receptionist Joy was extremely kind.We had an elderly in our group and they offered cab service from station to the hotel as there is a fair bit of climb coming up to the hotel.Overall a great experience and would highly recommend it.

We loved the location of the hotel. It was about a 15-minute walk from the town center up a steep hill but it was well worth it. (We did not have a car but many guests did so it would be easy to avoid the walk uphill.) It was on a beautiful piece of property with wonderful views from the grounds and our room. We loved the feel of the historic Swiss ski chalet. Plus, Brienz is a wonderful town with easy access to hiking in the alps. Additionally, the staff at the front desk and cleaning staff were all wonderful.

The breakfast could have been better. The yogurt, croissant, breads and muesli were all good. The eggs and especially the coffee were not. We still had plenty of good food to eat but would have appreciated better coffee.

The view from this hotel is outstanding. Our bed was incredibly comfortable. The bed rotates so you can wake up looking out at Lake Brienz (this was a surprise). Hot pot on the balcony was a great touch to this room. The room was large, bathroom had a waterfall shower which was impressive. The bathroom is on a higher level in the room with a huge glass window between the bedroom and bathroom, great touch. The room is really big. No air con but it wasn't needed as the windows open. Breakfast was tasty. Lake Brienz is only a 5 minute walk away.

The walk up to the hotel is very very steep, with luggage this is hard. When we arrived at the hotel, the receptionist mentioned that they offer a free taxi ride to and from the station. Please contact them for this.

The hotel was old but all rooms and interiors were remodeled, also very clean. There were many old eye catching stuff here and there around the buildings. The staff were welcoming and nice. The garden was super nice and refreshing. There was also a play area for kids. we were on the last floor with the lake view, it was a spectacular view from the window. The food was good in the restaurant. Room decor very lovely and authentic, loved it.

No lift, so it was hard to carry baggages and stroller all the way up to the last floor even with the help of staff. The breakfast was quite basic and can have more variety. The kitchen and especially restaurant staff were not polite and attentive. There seemed to be a free shuttle bus from harbor to the hotel, but they did not inform us in advance, so we took a long walk in rain with a baby and luggages all the way up to the hotel. But still they gave us a ride on the way back. I believe they can be more informative about the shuttle bus service. Very basic amenities in the room, it can be improved. The bed was not a comfort one.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Lindenhof hotel in Brienz and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is located in a beautiful setting, with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and Lake Brienz. The welcome at reception was warm and friendly, and I was immediately impressed by the cleanliness and presentation of the hotel. My room was spacious and comfortable, with modern amenities such as a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi access. I particularly enjoyed the private balcony which offered stunning views of the lake and mountains. The bed was comfortable and I was able to sleep peacefully throughout my stay. The breakfast was excellent, with a choice of hot and cold dishes, as well as fresh fruit and bread. The staff was helpful and attentive, ensuring that everything was to my liking. The hotel's location is also excellent, with easy access to local attractions such as Lake Brienz, hiking trails and ski slopes. Parking is easy and convenient, which is a real plus in this area. Overall, I had a great stay at the Lindenhof hotel and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfortable and well-located accommodation in Brienz. The staff is friendly and professional, the rooms are comfortable and well-equipped, and the location is perfect for exploring the area. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again on my next trip to Brienz.
