I stayed in the CHIC rooms which were spacious and had amazing views of the mountain. I used this hotel as my base to spend 2 nights in Grindelwald and for visiting Jungfraujoch. There is a Coop grocery store 3 minutes walking at the terminal which has any product you need. This hotel met all of my expectations. Comfortable bed, good Water pressure, perfect room temperature, decent breakfast, morning espresso machine, microwave/shared kitchen area and the Grill Bar were all amazing. I messaged the hotel with all of my questions before arriving to ensure I knew what I was getting myself into. The hotel responded to everything in a timely manner. A special shoutout and gratitude to Klara at the front desk, who is simply top notch with her hospitality 💯

location is good, it's just in the middle of Grindelwald Terminal and Grindelwald Grund. so you can take either the cable car or the train up to Jungfraujoch, or to the surrounding cities. the view of the room is perfect. the staffs are friendly and with passion. breakfast is not bad, facilities are new so i like it. the host cat is cute....

this is more like a hostel but with private shower, although the room is good. The whole management is still like a hostel, no other services like a hotel. for example the hand soap in the room was empty and didn't filled up even the 2nd day. but the staffs were so nice, helped me after i went to the reception (ya there's no phone to contact, you have to walk to another building the reception counter). but if you like more the atmosphere of a hostel, you may like it. this is a great place for young people, but for those who expected a hotel with lots of services (because the "chic" on the name?) , you may need to adjust the expectation.

Great location. Friendly staff. Room was not ready when we arrived (very early) but we were able to park the car and leave our bags. Room basic but had everything we needed. Soundproofing excellent. A few moments walk to Grindelwald Grund train station. On site restaurant served good quality burgers etc at reasonable (for Switzerland!) prices. Good breakfast. Would recommend.

All good really, but they gave us a discount card when we arrived, which included free local bus, and also some discounts on places and free use of the Grindelwald Indoor Pool and the Grindelwald Ice Rink. Whilst this was a great, unexpected perk, it would have been even better if they had included info about the discount card when we booked - we might have arranged out trip differently to benefit from these offers!

The room was exceptional for being considered a hostel, we did get the 2 person room and it was very similar to a hotel. The breakfast in the morning was a good variety, and the staff was very helpful and kind.

The hostel is located about a 25 minute walk from the main square, but you could take a 4 minute train or the free bus to get you there, so this wasn't a big deal. I also didn't love that the floors were concrete instead of wood or carpet, it wasn't very comfortable to walk on.

Eiger Lodge Chic was the perfect base for our trip to Grindelwald. The location was amazing, situated close to Grindelwald Terminal station which gave us quick access to all of the cable cars in the area. We didn't have a car for our 3 night stay but I didn't find the need to with how close we were to Grindelwald Terminal. The area itself is quiet with minimal restaurants and businesses but that didn't phase us as we would just go to the Coop for food or walk (train and bus were also an option but with such a picturesque town, we preferred to walk) to Grindelwald. We never dined in town because the prices were wild but this didn't affect our trip in the slightest. The actual hotel itself was amazing and exceeded our expectations. We were in the new wooden building. It was a simple, small room but it had everything we needed. And as it was newly built, everything was clean and modern. We had brought an AUD to EUR adaptor but this didn't fit in the power sockets in the room. Luckily, there were also USB charging ports so we were able to use those. The room was very comfortable and a great base to return to for a little rest after a 3hour hike! The bathroom was also clean and modern. I also ended up really enjoying the breakfast that was provided in the morning. There were usually scrambled and boiled eggs, cold cut meats and cheeses, a wide variety of bread, yoghurt and muesli etc... We would take our breakfast and eat outside with the stunning view of the mountain. I couldn't reccommend this accommodation more for a trip to Grindelwald.

My favourite parts of the stay were the balcony view and the breakfast every morning. The other reviews were right to consider it a basic breakfast, however it was very satisfying especially with the insane prices of food in Switzerland 💀 Room was very clean and comfortable.

Location is great if you intend to go to Jungfrau. The terminal is right beside the lodge. However, if you want to go to Grindelwald First, you will have to catch the buses (operates at limited hourly timings) or walk 40 minutes uphill to the main street. My only gripe would be the doorless shower. Plenty of water went to the toilet bowl area so it was a turn off.

The position of the hotel was excellent with stunning views and the room was comfortable. Everything was clean and it had a great bathroom.

There were no coffee or tea facilities and no fridge, no extra pillows etc. The reception was only attended during certain hours so we couldn't ask questions regarding the activities whenever we wanted. Because of fewer staff, breakfast was a little chaotic as the hotel was very full and sitting spaces limited to eat the breakfast (we ate while sitting in lounge chairs).

The room is spacious and it has a cubby holes for us to store place our things in a more organized manner. The toilet and shower are both separated and the basin is outside of it. There is also hair dryers. We stayed at the 3rd floor (which the staff told us was a free upgrade) but for my bf parents they wear only able to get the 1st level. The toilet is different as everything is parked in one ensuite. So your shower, toilet and basin are all in a ensuite.

The shower area is somewhat opened with no door or minimum shower curtains. So if you are staying with friends it will be quite overwhelming.

We had a fantastic stay at the Eiger Lodge. The view was spectacular, and the room was spotlessly clean and appeared to have very new furnishings. It is located at the Terminal train station which was very convenient. The bus stop to Grindelwald town was a 1 minute walk from the Lodge, and the journey takes about 10 minutes. It is lovely to walk back down from Grindelwald to the Lodge as it is all downhill. All staff were friendly and the breakfast was absolutely phenomenal! They have Gluten Free options which was highly desirable for my coeliac fiance.

The pillows weren't very comfortable and I think Netflix would be better entertainment than the streaming service that was offered.

I had a very nice time with my family in Grindelwald! the property was well maintained and the rooms were clean. the breakfast included provided all the essentials you need as well. the check in/out process was also very smooth and easy. the hotel is very close to the train station which was a great plus if you are traveling from different cities by train

Busses and trains stop running quite early and the hotel does not have many options to eat or grocery shop within the area. so just make sure to plan accordingly and look at the operating hours of the few options you have nearby
