The staff at the restaurant attached to it visibly made harsh nod of head in disgust (for no reason) when we were dining. Especially they were staring at us eating food right through the time that made us feel awkward. Not to mention the remarks another staff was passing to the person serving us when we asked for water. it is not a nice thing for the guest.

We had a really good time. The room was spacious and clean and with view towards Eiger. Location perfect, just in front of the bus and train station, with many shops around. Breakfast was also nice, with good variety. We went during skiing season and received a free pass for local and skiing buses.

Few things, but they didn’t affect our stay: - Breakfast options were the same all the mornings we stayed there and it became a bit boring on the last days. - Their private parking is ~100meters behind the hotel, up a hill, and they don’t have a space in front of the hotel to load/unload your luggage. - The bathroom has glass door and wall towards the room which makes the room bright when someone is using the bathroom during the night or wakes up first. And the door wasn’t closing properly.

Staying at Hotel Kreuz & Post in Grindelwald provided a charming and picturesque experience in breathtaking surroundings. The hotel's alpine aesthetic, together with the friendly service, created a welcoming atmosphere that blended perfectly with the surroundings. The mountain views from the rooms added an extra touch of magic to the stay. One aspect to take into account is that there is no air conditioning in the hotel, which can be somewhat of a challenge in the summer months. During periods of warmer weather the rooms could get quite warm which was somewhat uncomfortable. Fortunately, these warmer moments were partly compensated by the available wellness facilities. The hotel offered a wonderful relaxation option with its wellness area. Guests enjoyed a relaxing time in the sauna, which was especially refreshing after a day of adventures in the mountains. These facilities certainly added a feeling of luxury and pampering to the stay. The traditional décor added a rustic touch to the stay. The hotel's restaurant served delicious dishes and local delicacies, which was definitely a plus. The location of Hotel Kreuz & Post is a great advantage, with easy access to the surrounding nature and hiking trails. The hotel also offered thoughtful amenities and services, making it a great base for exploring the beautiful Grindelwald region.

Outstanding location, literally across the road from the train station and the bus station. This was a real advantage as we had planned to use Grindelwald as a base for trips around the area. It was such fun to see the train arriving from our windows and be able to stroll across to meet friends arriving on the train. We appreciated getting our rooms early, the fact that they were all close together, and the lavish breakfast spread. A lot of love and thinking has gone into the room design and management of the hotel, and we appreciated small things like the clothes drying racks in the bathroom and the USB charging points. We had a great time and would recommend this to all our friends

While the overall temperature was always comfortable in Grindelwald, the days were extremely bright and sunny and the rooms tend to get a bit stuffy. I would strongly suggest to the management that each room be equipped with a pedestal fan to help with air circulation. This was the only comment we had on an otherwise outstanding stay. It would also be very helpful to get a list of local restaurants and opening/closing times, as we got caught out on a couple of days not realizing that restaurants tend to close early. Thankfully the hotel's own restaurant is open for longer.

Everything about our stay was simply amazing! The hotel is so close to the train station & right across the bus stop. It is on the main street. The staff were super helpful & very friendly. The hotel serve amazing breakfast & the view from the terrace onto the Eiger is breathtakingly beautiful. Our room was spacious & fulfilled all our needs. The hotel also has a spa & sauna although we didn't make use of it, spending our time in the mountains & outside. The hotel also offered us a guest card, which was super helpful in getting around on the public transport.

I cannot think of anything - would have loved a room with a view of the Eiger, but unfortunately there were none available. Next time I'll be sure to book it in advance

The hotel and staff were great, the location is really convenient to explore grindelwald and the wider valley (just next to the train station and in front of the bus station). The room was comfortable and, while the location may sound loud, the room was very quiet with the balcony door closed. We arrived a bit early and the team were really kind and offered to store our luggage for us, as well as helping us to arrange a dinner reservation. In the morning the breakfast was tasty and generous.

A minor thing, but it would have been great to have some extra pillows in the room.

Great location, beautiful hotel with wonderful Restaurant! The service is amazing too! Very helpful staff, even made us a takeaway breakfast for each of us since our flight was very early. The rooms are generous and the bathroom luxurious. We be loved having a balcony to drink wine on and watch the mountain sunset each night . Location is right next to the train station and bus stop - and you get a pass to go anywhere you want (bus) from the accommodation for your entire party. This made going to First and JUNGFRAUJOCH very easy. Delicious breakfast!

The variety and quality of the breakfast selection was outstanding. Staff was warm and friendly. We were in the 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment, and the room layout and closet space was outstanding. We were there with our two 20 year old boys and it was nice that they could each have their own room. The bedrooms were nice size. Master bedroom was very large. Kitchen had all the basics needed. The bathroom shared by my two kids, was very nice and large. A nice touch was the slippers that were provided for walking around the hotel. This way you did not have to wear your shoes in room. Closet right by the room entry door for coats and shoes. Location Location Location. Close to everything. The train station is about 150 feet away. The bus station is across the street. 20 feet from Buri sports, winter sports rental. Two or three restaurants within 50 feet. If you wanted more variety or options, the main down town area is about .5 miles away with shops and restaurants along the way. Less than .5 mile walk to one ski lift and a one stop train ride to another. Bank and grocery store about 100 yards away

The living room area furniture was not very comfortable. It was OK for a short sit but nothing too long. The bathroom attached to the main bedroom was small. Useable but small.

Some services are really old fashioned: e.g. restaurant menu, breakfast, bar, no gym, no pool There are 4 stars hotels in Grindelwald that offer much more, so this hotel is a solid option only when significantly cheaper than others to be honest

Absolutely perfect location in Grindelwald. You are literally right next to the train station. The rooms are quite spacious and the balcony had a lovely view. The breakfast is fabulous and the staff is quite welcoming and helpful. The bathroom is lovely as you don't often get large spacious bathrooms in the this region. The room was also large, spacious and quite comfortable. There are many restaurants nearby and Grindelwald First is a five minute walk. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend it. Perfect place to explore the Jungfrau region

The room does get quite warm in the afternoon(even in the autumn when we were there) and the perhaps the housekeeping could have been better.
