Excellent location! Three minute walk to train station. You could go almost anywhere from here via train. Shops and restaurants were within walking distance. Would stay there again in a heart beat. Continental breakfast was also good as was the restaurant. It's a quiet location at night and both our rooms had it's own balcony with sights of the mountains. We were with our adult granddaughter and our rooms were separated by a shared bathroom (shower and toilet). Each room had its own sink with cabinet which made sharing the bathroom more accommodating, affording each of us our privacy. Rooms also had separate doors to exit or enter.

As Americans we are accustomed to A/C so it would have been nice if the hotel was air conditioned. However it didn't affect our enjoyment of this hotel and village. Although it was unseasonably warm, second week of August, you can open the windows at night for a nice breeze. The hotel also had fans available if you needed one.

Just steps away from the train station!!! The beds were comfortable, the room was clean! The offered toiletries were plenty (hand soap, shampoo, body wash, lotion, sewing kit, nail file, shower caps), the included breakfast buffet was ample, fresh, and always stocked!!! Our room had a balcony that was delightful and relaxing!!! I loved having a cold fridge to keep our water stocked, cold and ready for the next adventure!! And the staff were kind, caring, and accommodated our many requests!!!

The rooms really heated up during the day, even with the curtains closed.

Location is perfect, few steps from railway and bus station. In the middle of village. Breakfast is good, but without any vegetables. It really needs some cucumbers and tomatoes slice and it will make perfect. Eiger and city view is perfect (single room) Clean small room with balcony. No air condition. Staff in reception is friendly but other in hotel, they didnt said hello. We stay 4 nights. Terrace of restaurant by the street is popularity, nice after walk place.

Bed is so soft and lot of used. I don't really like it.

The Property is very well situated and placed. I suggest a Mountain View. We had a mountain view and believe me this is magical as it seems like you are close and also quiet relaxing and also magical. unfortunately we stayed only one night but wished we could have done more as we were traveling enjoying the gem of Switzerland so staying in different places. The restaurant food quality is good as we dined there and breakfast was fair good, room well sized and amenities are good. The Check-in and out was perfect, very help full and everything well explained in advance. Thanks for hosting us

When searching in Google Maps it leads you to another aparthotel behind the Hotel. Not a big deal

We have just returned from an excellent stay here in Grindlewald at the Wolter hotel. The staff were excellent, helpful and knowledgeable. You get a Guest Card on arrival which is handy for buses (local) and some discounts. Breakfast was really good and evening meals (although a limited menu) were all very good and there are also other places neraby to try as well. The sister hotel (Hotel Spinne) looked good. On departure day we could leave our luggage safely whilst we explored before our train to Interlaken. Definetly would stay there again - we had a lovely room with balcony. Staff all speak great English so my schoolboy German stayed in hiding for another year....

Beware of local tourist taxes on departure - these aren't covered by your booking via Booking.com. Weirdly the only other small issue was that the bedside lamps weren't consistent. One acted as a bedside lamp and the other (mine) put the entire lights on in the room which was not ideal to sit and read in bed :) but that really wasn't an issue. If you like a morning cup of tea/coffee there isn't those facilities in the room - we found out this beforehand and took our travel kettle instead.

We stayed in one is the apartments located in the annex behind the hotel. This meant there was no view from the balcony but the mountains are so big - just look up! The apartment had a small kitchenette which would be great for longer stays. There is a supermarket across the road so easy to stock up if needed! The restaurant attached to the hotel was great - the best we saw on our exploration of Grindelwald. Great view from seats outside.

No AC - could get hot and stuffy in summer. We were warm and it’s only May! The addition of a fan perhaps?

Location is very convenient. Just two minute walk to shops and train station. Our room was in the apartment building which can be reached by cars. There is a lift in the building so that we don’t need to carry our heavy luggage’s up and down stairs. Front desk staff is polite. Our room is on the top floor with balcony with nice Mountain View. Kitchen utensils are provided for cooking.

Perfectly located hotel with an amazing mountain view from the balcony. Only steps away from the train station and the main bus station, this hotel is situated in the perfect spot to get anywhere in the Jungfrau region easily. Our room was huge and had a balcony looking out towards Eiger, which was an excellent and unexpected bonus! The room was clean and housekeeping came each day to freshen up. Included breakfast was ample and tasty. We loved our stay.

Wifi went in and out unless you were in the lobby.

The receptionist was so nice and helpful! Room was very clean and comfortable. Loved the balcony area!Your personal bathroom has a bathtub so I definitely made use of that! I was super thankful that it was literally right across the street from the train station - lugging around a 50lbs suitcase is no fun. They have elevator access too! Breakfast was nice and standard - good coffee machine and tasty croissants :)

Being so central in location can also have its cons - i.e. more hustle/bustle/noise. The country bar across the street had some nice live music going on my first day staying there...but it lasted till like 11pm. The windows didn't insulate too much of the noise. It's obviously not the hotel's fault but just something to keep in mind :)

Very friendly and helpful staff. Special mention for Jasmine on reception who was exceptional. Bedroom 463 had big private terrace with great views. Centrally located near to railway station. Hotel has limited private parking at 10 Swiss francs per 24 hours. Good buffet breakfast.

Room was very hot and needed air conditioning. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room. The water in the shower suddenly stopped flowing without warning.
