The Seehotel Pilatus is located in such a beautiful and accessible location and is a fantastic hotel with incredible helpful staff, breathtaking views and we particularly enjoyed the spa and thermal suite. Nadine in reception was so helpful to us, she was very approachable and went out of her way to help us on several occasions, one being loosing my bag on public transport! She immediately contacted the transport company to help me retrieve my bag.

The cocktails from the top bar/outside area weren’t the best. We weren’t aware of the downstairs bar/disco area where the cocktails were incredible! We only figured this out on our last night! I think the breakfast variety after a few days got a little bit boring. I ended up having a bacon sandwich pretty much every morning for 7 days! However, I must say the coffee and salmon dishes that were presented incredibly well were delicious.

I had a single room facing the lake and wow the view was amazing! My room had an egg chair from the ceiling where you could sit by the winodw and enjoy the view. You can also eat breakfast outside by the lake. The room was lovely (despite bathroom being in the room itself) and you could really relax. Good choice of food for breakfast and sauna etc was clean.

10CHF per night for air conditioning - for "environmental reasons". This really disappointed me as the first night I only got 5 hours sleep due to being too hot and the possibility to pay was not advertised anywhere. If you have a mainly south facing complex with floor to ceiling windows it will get hot in summer and it is unfair to charge. This however seems to be common across Switzerland so something to watch. This is my only gripe however - the hotel really is fantastic.

The location on the lake and wellness facilities were excellent. Also, this was the best & most comfortable bed I experienced in all the hotels I've stayed at in Switzerland. Additionally, the room has complete black-out shutters which block out all light and noise if you are sensitive. The AC was fantastic, very cold! I used the wellness facilities each day of my stay and felt that they added tremendous value. The room has a refrigerator, which was nice if you want to have extra drinks on hand.

The walk to and from the train station is not easy with luggage. It is about 15 minutes and either down or up a small hill, depending on the direction you are going. The road is cobbled in places and as this was toward the end of my Swiss Tour, my shoulder was hurting, and I was just overall exhausted. Train station drop off and pick up would have been really helpful for check in and check out.

Fabulous views over the Lake. Excellent location. Very good food. Proximity to attractions. Frequent public transportation.

We checked in advance with the hotel before we made our reservation and were promised pickup from and to the train station (with the luggage). Yet, no transportation was provided, neither compulsory nor for pay, although we announced our schedule days in advance. There isn't Taxi in town. The station is about 8 minutes walk only from the hotel but uphill and we aren't a young couple any more...

The room was spacious with a beautiful view of the lake and there are a variety of food for the breakfast.

I booked the hotel room because it was mentioned that it comes with air-conditioning. However when I checked in the hotel reception told me it was chargeable at CHF10/night. This caused some unhappiness as it was not mentioned in the hotel website. After showing the reception of my booking, they informed that they will switch on the aircon and waive the charges.

Staff is very kind and eager to help in any regard. They do all, to make you feel comfortable and and meet your needs. Cosy and fully equipped room with great view over the lake. Swimming pool area is great and accessible from 7 am to 10 pm. Water and air are warm and the whole area a place where you can wonderfully relax on the comfortable deckchairs with a view of the lake, while you can help yourself to warm tea and bouillon. Beakfast is plentiful and the restaurant also offers view of the lake.

The rooms facing the lake in the new wing have outstanding views. You can slide the entire balcony door open and your room becomes a part of the lake scenery. Loved ordering our dinner in and taking in the views from the room.

The town itself doesn’t have much to explore on foot but you can always take a city bike or take a train into Luzerne. The main hotel is a bit tired but it makes up for it with lake access, views and a decent (albeit somewhat small spa). Parking is also quite limited but doable.

The location was great! Excellent breakfast with a large variety. Large selection of breads, cheeses, even smoked salmon etc. Breakfast could be eaten indoors, outside on a terrace or under trees right on the lake with a wonderful view. I booked a single room and even though it was small, the room was very functional. And...the price was right!

My room had access to a large terrace with sun deck and lounge chair, but was open to all the other rooms on the floor, therefore the door had to be closed for privacy.

- Lake view was really awesome - Location was far from center, but it was possible to have good connection to Mount Pilatus - Lucerne center is easily accessible by tram connection - Wellness area was nice. At the pool , there is a big glass window facing the mountain and lake - Room air conditioning was working fine: it was important during this heat wave - balcony has hanging chairs and comfort place to enjoy the scenic lake and mountain view - there is a rain shower at the bathroom: which is awesome - around 200 CHF more for lake view compared to mountain/city view room, but as i mentioned before, lake view is amazing

- BREAKFAST, oh man: I mean when breakfast is auto included into all booking, we kinda foresee that breakfast will be extremely economical. It is ok in case you want a strong start of the day, but not really special - After our room was cleaned, no clean towels or bathrob was provided. However we immediately called at the reception and they brought clean towels and bathrob immediately. - as a four star hotel, no complimentary tea, coffee, water heater is provided into the room. You have to go downstairs to "buy" tea/coffee everytime ( of course Swiss priced) - No direct access for swimming to the lake , the access from the pool area is not clean enough

It was clean, breakfast was included and very good, and there was a nice balcony area. The staff was friendly, and spoke English. It felt much less crowded than being in the city, so it was much more peaceful than staying in Luzern.

You had to pay extra for air conditioning and it was very loud with the window open. Also, the hot tub was the same temperature as the pool. It was definitely not hot! The outside hot tub was not open so I am not sure if it was hot.
