Good breakfast, comfortable beds, quiet room with good views and balcony in a nice area. We took the train to Kries-Mattenhof and it was an easy and pleasant walk to the Gasthaus. Option to have dinner there also. Easy bus ride into Luzern from nearby. Better value for money than places in Luzern if you don't mind a bit of extra travel. Hotel lent us umbrellas because it was pouring with rain. Across the road there are several walks in a wooded area.

Nothing much nearby so you do have to go into Luzern for most things. No coffee maker in the room. There is a coffee machine and tea available in the lobby but it was not working on Sunday afternoon however staff made us a cup of tea to take to the room.

The double room was very clean, neat, and spacious. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and there was so much to choose from. I loved everything. We were greeted friendly by the owner/manager, who spoke great English. He also gave us info on all the attractions in Lucern, which was awesome.

I am from South Africa and used to A/C making really cold. The A/C in the rooms does not make that cold. The staff could not understand English, but was a lovely stay.

Friendly staff, excellent room conditions. Breakfast included multiple options; great coffee machine, breads, yoghurt, etc. Located 10-15 min bus ride from Central Luzern train station. You can also opt to walk 5-6 minutes to the nearest station (Matttenhof) to travel to other places. We would like to thank the staff for making our memories in Luzern an exceptional one.

The room might not be completely reachable from the lift. You might need to hand carry your luggage using stairs to reach the room, which was totally okay for us.

Hotel has good location, bus stop is 5 minutes away and it takes 10 minutes to reach the center (train station).The breakfast was basic but good, everyone should find something suitable. Room was very clean, small but comfortable. I could only have very minor complaint that the room was described as having wiev of the mountains, but the window was tiny and showed mainyl the street, that doesn't change the overall very good impression. The staff speaks english and is eager to help. Also the food in restaurant was great and not overpriced. I would definitely stay there again.

Initial room was lovely but had too many stairs to access it so asked if it was possible to change to another. The staff were great and very helpful, and our second room, although not as lovely, had a great view of the mountains and a small balcony. Easy access to bus to and from Luzern.

No kettle or fridge in room, although tea and coffee were available downstairs in the lobby.

Got 2 lovely family rooms nxt to each other and had everything we needed and so comfortable bed lovely too, breakfast great and so helpful , great food was booked out last night but would have loved to have eaten all nights there.

It is a little far out from town than we thought but we couldn’t complain really because the bus came every 10 minutes across the road sooo very good too.

Amazing location, the city is very peaceful and incredibly beautiful with mt Pilatus on one side and snowy mountains on the other. The hotel is great, very nice facilities - we had the luck of staying in a room with a balcony facing mt Pilatus.

Some suggestions for improvement: - 2 chairs in the balcony instead of 1. - more diversified breakfast

Room was great. 3 beds and good space. Has fridge was that also was good for use as travel with special requirments for food. Staff are exceptional. The breakfast was awesome. We were tourist and they do not usually stay this far out of town but a simple bus for 15 minutes and you are in downtown. Stayed here twice and I like it for parking car (no extra charge) and staff very friendly and helpful and comfort. Would stay here again.

Bathroom with view to rest of room. No elevator so is work to get up to have to be able bodied. (They tell you this when you phone ask about room)

Clean and quiet room in a nice hotel a few kilometers away from the city centre of Luzern. I stayed only for one night with my 1-year-old son, and I really appreciated our stay, although it was quite short. The staff even offered a children bed, which I didn't need since I had already brought my own. Breakfast was good, with a lot of possible choice. I also appreciated the in-house restaurant, where we had our dinner (I advise to arrive not too late in order to find a free table)

On-site breakfast was very convenient. Hotel location was excellent. Beautiful surroundings. Enjoyed walking past nearby community garden. Hotel conveniently located close to bus stop and train station.
