The BandB was a charming old house in a residential area of Lucerne. It was very close to a bus line which we used everyday with our Swiss Pass. Isabelle and her staff were very friendly and helpful.

I would suggest that the breakfast be varied a little each day. After a couple of days eating exactly the same thing, it did get a little boring. Though we got used to it, I would suggest including in the description of the attic room that the bathroom is located down a set of spiral stairs. It could potentially be a problem for some people. Also, the room must be unlocked with a key from the inside which may be a problem in case of fire.

The staff here was super nice. I love the rooms (we stayed in both rooms for two and three). They were not spacious but larger than most of the places we've stayed. I really enjoyed the breakfast there. Good food and relaxing atmosphere. Plenty of bath/ shower rooms. It's a little away from the main train station, but there are a lot of buses coming like every 5 mins so I didn't feel like it was inconvenient.

Floors can be a little loud and squeaky as you walk. It was fine to me, but some might find it annoying.

breakfast is far exceeding my expectations. Staff was very warm. I thought I was going to share bathroom with many people, it turns out that each floor, there are bathrooms directly across almost each room, we were there on weekend, and I did not see any people on my floor, using bathroom or shower was not a concern at all, it is almost like a private bathroom just outside bedroom. I will stay here again, if I come back in the future.

Hosts- Yvonne and owner Isabella were very warm, welcoming, helpful in making reservations. We were able to pay for street parking through the Bed and Breakfast, which was less expensive than the usual rate. Breakfast was plentiful. There is a small communal frig available to store a few items. Everything -the room, bathrooms, eating areas and outdoor areas were kept extremely clean. Our room was made up every day, which is not always the case for a BnB property. The owner arranged for a breakfast for our final departure morning even though we were leaving earlier than the time breakfast was offered for guests at the property. Public transportation is just a block away and is included in the rate for staying in Lucerne. This is a safe location, set amongst stately homes, built 100 years ago, located only 10 minutes by tram from the old quarter of Lucerne. Very easy to navigate. I would recommend this property for couples, families, single travelers of all ages; it is quite comfortable for visits of multiple nights. The location is very good to travel outside the city to see outlying towns or mountain areas. We would definitely come back to the Bed and Breakfast.

For people such as ourselves who had a four night stay, it would have been nice to have a bit of a change in the breakfast offerings every couple of days, ie pastries, or a different selection of sliced meats and cheeses. Having said that, the breakfast offered a very good selection which included yogurt, home made granola, a fruit bowl, fresh breads, preserves, a selection of sliced meats and cheeses, a boiled egg machine, orange juice, a selection of teas and a very nice coffee machine which made espresso, cappuccino, and other special coffees.

We were greeted by Isabelle and Franzisca so warmly. They both have such a bright smile which made us feel very welcomed and comfortable. Isabelle was so helpful to give us tips on our mountain trip. The room was very comfortable and spacious. The ceiling fan was a big bonus. The breakfast was also a plus, and the coffee was top! Location is also very convenient!

Our room door made a lot noise when it's opened and closed, I think it can be oiled to remove that noise easily. The part of the floor at our room entrance also made loud squeeky sound. But those were not big problems and didn't affect us much. We still enjoyed our stay very much.

10 minute bus ride from Lucerne main train station. House converted into a bed + breakfast. Yes each floor had about 6 -7 rooms with 3 shared bathrooms. The bathrooms were so good. Clean. tastefully decorated, better than some 5* hotels I have stayed at. Bedrooms clean again nothing they had not thought of.. Continental breakfast. Brilliant staff. In the evening we bought our own food and ate in the garden. They kept our suitcases whilst we were out and about after checking out. Would stay here again.. Absolutely brilliant.

Like everywhere else in Switzerland lack of AC so a bit humid. However there is a ceiling fan. If you leave windows open you will be bitten by mosquitoes. But hey thats nature for you..

This B&B has a wonderful feel to it. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The interior of the property is beautiful and rooms and bathrooms are very well appointed. Facilities and rooms are very clean. The breakfast has everything you need and there are also a self-serve snacks and drinks during the day and evening. You can use the breakfast/lounge rooms to relax during the day/evening also. It's very easy to park (free overnight) and a 6 minute bus ride on the nbr 1 into the city centre.

I wish we had stayed longer!

The property is lovely. It’s an old home or building that’s been converted to a bed and breakfast. Some rooms have private baths while others have shared facilities. There was no issue with sharing facilities with others as there were bathrooms rooms on our floor. Franziska checked us in she was lovely. Super helpful super friendly and kind. we were delighted with her service. we stayed tonight the morning we left Yvonne served us breakfast and she was lovely as well.

The property is wonderful but if you’re someone who needs air conditioning, it’s probably not for you. If you’re someone who needs total quiet, it may not be a good fit because the floors are wood & they creak a bit. We absolutely loved our stay here there was nothing we didn’t like. it’s an easy 15 minute walk from the train station or downtown.

It was cheap compared to other hotels in Lucerne. It was also clean and in a quiet residential neighborhood. Breakfast included fresh warm bread which was very good. It was easy to hop on any of several buses but we chose to explore by walking.

The old wood floors were creaky and some of the other guests didn’t know how to use the door so they were making some banging noises closing the doors, but that’s not the fault of the hotel.

The Bed + Breakfast is an old fashioned pension in a quaint neighbourhood just outside the Lucerne city center. It feels practically like staying in someone's (big) house. The bathrooms are shared, but they are proper bathrooms, as you could expect in a home, tastefully decorated and clean. The breakfast is very relaxed, especially if the weather is nice and you have it outside in the garden. The staff made a lot of effort to make feel welcome throughout.
