October 2022

Hotel is a 15 minute bus ride from the railway station . It is quite traditional in design. It is on the edge of the town so looks out towards the mountains which is nice. It is very convenient for the Signal cable car to get up the mountain and the hotel kindly provided us with a pass to access the mountain transport. We were staying in October so only the main cable cars were running. The room was average size and although there was no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, staff gave us a jug of hot water and we used our own teabags. Breakfast was good with a tasty continental selection as well as eggs to order.

Although the hotel information states that they will pick up and drop off at the station, we discovered these transfers are only available if you book directly with the hotel. A taxi back to the station ( it was pouring with rain) cost us £21 for a 5 minute journey! limited places to eat nearby- maybe due to time of year.

Nice hotel and rooms with good size. View of the river but with a building just in front. 10min walking from the center of St Moritz walking. Good breakfast with variety. Employees nice and friendly.

At the reception the lady that made our check-in had a rude attitude (although responding to all questions made) and lack of information for the tourist. One of the room was too hot, but they could repair it.

Fantastic hotel along the river, with direct access to trails along the valley floor and the Signalbahn, which gives you direct access to the mountains. The hotel provides a number of free parking spaces in front and along the side of the hotel. The hotel also provides a package for skiers and hikers, which includes a travel pass for the entire Engadin valley, which is available at a reduced price if you stay longer than a certain number of days. This time, I was there during the ski season, so I was able to buy a pass for 45/day for the four days that I was there. Otherwise, the hotel was very clean, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the staff were very welcoming to our dog (23kg Labrador mix), and accommodated us (dog, too) for dinner and breakfast in the restaurant inside the hotel. The options for breakfast are somewhat slim, but they have the basics (bread, cheese, cold cuts, yogurt) and you can ask the staff for eggs in various ways (fried, scrambled, etc.). The dinner was always available as a set menu, with a starter, two options as entrees, and a dessert. We did not book an option that already included dinner, but we did eat at the hotel-restaurant on two occasions. The price was cheaper than most restaurants in the area and the food was of good quality, though we did find some things a bit too salty.

Perhaps the restaurant could also make available vegetarian options, which were never listed during our stay.

requirement to put gloves while taking food from common plates during breakfast

The hotel allows 3 time slots for breakfast to minimize the number of people at the same time. The hotel did not inform us about it at the time of booking to choose the time ourselves. But we resolved the issue and were let to comme in at the time convenient for us. Be aware about this rule while booking to contact property on the preferred time for breakfast.

Location is gold. Flat walk to cable car Signalbahn. Rent skis at base of cable car. Can ski back into Hotel which is an awesome run.

More vegetables for the kids. The kids food/menu choices were limited and not thought through. Adult food was good. Breakfast needed something etc like more variety. More info should be provided on buses and what is happening around the place. Difficult to get information. Not much ambience in hotel after a days' skiing. Lighting in the family room could be better. Don't understand why there isn't a kettle in each room.

Nice interior, particularly in the room. It's outside St. Moritz center, but close to good food options in St. Moritz Bad. Accessibility is therefore great.

Breakfast service felt overwhelmed and the quality of food was okay, but not anymore something to impress in 2021.

nice chalet vibe

During my research selecting a hotel, I was informed a shuttle from the train station to the hotel was provided but instead we had to take a taxi both to and from the train station.

The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. We had interactions with a number of different staff and all of them had the same friendly, can-do attitude.

Although we did walk to the centre of town a few times, it's a little too far. However, it's directly across from the Kapinsky which is the finest hotel in St Moritz and we had more fun there than anywhere in the town (which didn't have much to do at all).

Magical location - the staff were all very helpful and very accommodating, besides very well mannered. Opening our bedroom window over a river was magical! The hotel is literally located 1 min away from the Cable Car, and since we were spending more than 2 nights there, they gave us access cards for free. Parking was also available throughout our stay. The food is very good, genuinely recommend to go for half board. Thank you to all, we hope to be back someday <3

Everything was up to our expectations and beyond!

The location and the value for money, Exceeded my expectations. If you don’t care as much about luxury but your main priorities are being right next to the ski lift and comfort, then Nolda was the hotel you are looking for

I did not really liked the pillow, but that is a minority. Also, I would have loved to have more variety on the breakfast, but it was still good.
