The best thing about this hotel is it’s staff: incredibly hospitable team of hard working people. They spoke mostly Italian, some pretty good English but for us studying Italian for the last 5 years it was a treat to practice this beautiful language . We liked the location: 5 minutes walk ( uphill though in the morning with skis) to the funicular that takes you up the mountain for skiing. Not many options in St. Moritz like that ( unless of course one is quite wealthy to rent a château with butlers). The spa area is good, with sauna nice and toasty, cool water pool. Very good buffet breakfast. If you ask, they will make you an omelette, but wouldn’t offer on their own. Coffee, cappuccino, macchiato: all excellent, like it should be in Italy , at times you forget that you are in German speaking Switzerland. Comfortable mattress.

The building is old , has tired decor: probably 70s , at times shows it’s age: the door handle to the bathroom detached when we tried opening the door, the staff fixed it though the same day. The shower has almost no water pressure, it is difficult to adjust the temperature, the fixture on the wall holding shampoo is detaching itself . There was black mold on the tiles,again we asked to clean it , it was done. It is not possible to adjust the temperature in the room: no thermostat: at times too cold, at times too hot. Pillows were not comfortable, but that is a personal taste and habit.

Location is very good with walking distance to lake, shops and funicular. We were upgraded to a top floor suite room 617 which was lovely, but there are 2 full flights of stairs to access this room. We were given a choice to have this room or keep Junior Suite. Suite 617 was huge and has lovely views, modern bathroom and great sunroom.

The breakfast selection was OK with limited hot selection and very old fashioned decor. Service was quick and friendly but breakfast could have offered some side extras with the egg dishes such as grilled tomatoes, mushrooms or hash browns.

Exceptional! the location is perfect close walk to everything. they were so accommodating and helpful and friendly here! the staff was amazing! the train shuttle was a nice surprise and our room was fantastic. spacious and clean and the blankets were very warm and comfy. the bath was superb and the balcony and the view could not be beat! the drinking water system was great. really enjoyed the sparkling water. the hotel itself is very nicely decorated! it has such charm and great decor fits in perfect with the town and the facilities the spa and pool area were beautiful as well. would stay here a hundred times over it was truly an excellent time!

The location right in the center of St Moritz, walking distance to the lake, nearby restaurants and shops. The family room was huge with two bedrooms and 3 balconies, almost perfect view if it wasnt for the hotel building in front blocking the view lake but still, quite nice. The breakfast was amazing. Nice staff as well. Really nice hotel would definitly return.

The swimming pool was supposed to be heated but the water was a bit too cold.

Firstly, when we arrived, we were greeted by a really friendly staff member who had the most positive attitude and manner! I'm so sorry that I do not remember his name, but I think he might be the on-shift manager at least :) Apart from the friendly staff, the interior of this property is just sublime. 😍 I think we got an upgrade when we arrived, so that's always nice, but the view from the balcony (yes there is a balcony!) is insane. Attached is a photo that doesn't do it any justice. Additionally, breakfast was also splendid! Unfortunately we only stayed for 1 night so we only got to eat the breakfast once, but it had a wide range of choices, and the ingredients were fresh. Overall, Hotel Steffani totally exceeded our expectations, and made us feel very welcome, considering this was also our first city to visit in Switzerland. P.S. We spent our day in St. Moritz on a Sunday - do expect pretty much everything to be closed/closed early on this day. Nonetheless, the hotel is only a short walk to the bus and train station, so you can hop on/off quite easily to see the attractions in the area.

Great hotel with affordable price but Amazing hospitality! The hotel kindly upgraded our room. It has aadditional bedroom instead of a sofa bed, which made our stay(3 adults) much more comfortable! The room also has two bathroom sinks with large mirror, and 3 balconies with fantastic view of the lake. Would love to come back.

The hotel is well located, easy to reach from the central station by walking - I didn't notice they provide shuttle services. Our room was nice and clean, with a coffee machine with Nespresso capsules and fast internet; a balcony over the street and mountains. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was big and modern. The breakfast was included in the room price and was delicious with many choices. We had dinner at the hotel's restaurant and all we ordered deserved 5* - delicious food well prepared; excellent cook. Good service in both hotel and restaurant.

We did not have an iron and ironing facilities in the room.

Location perfect, staff were lovely and really friendly and they even gave us a free upgrade to a room with a view over the lake. Breakfast was nice and the spa was great, especially as we had it to ourselves. Very happy with our stay and would highly recommend this place for anyone to stay.

Spa would benefit from a hot tub for those who like to hike in the surrounding mountains.

Location was amazing. Staff were very helpful and the room was exceptional. We received upgrade with balcony which was very nice. I would come back to this hotel and highly recommend. In summer if you stay 2 nights you get cable access for free. Great tip and saving. We only stayed one night but had we known this we would have stayed longer.
