The staff here are absolutely amazing - nothing is too much. My room (#5) was stunning, and the sun room was perfect for watching the sunset. It was always kept clean, and water provided daily. The historical value of the house was evident, and it was lovely to stay in such a house.

The wifi was intermittent ; but this did not impact my stay!

We were at Villa Duang Champa for 9 days. Any requests were quickly filled happily and with enthusiasm. We found all the staff to be fantastic people, easily approachable and really helpful. Breakfasts are standardised however of the highest quality. We would love to thank manager Tony, also staff Nic and A. A big mention should be paid to the music performances, particularly during Sunday market nights, a real add-on that made our stay extra special, loved it! Thank you to all those who contributed to the entertainment of all those who come by to give a positive vibe to the Villa.

Great location. Very near restaurants, the old city wall and the old city temples. Lots of nice places to eat, drink and smoke. The hotel is within easy reach of Boots, 711, traditional Thai massage etc. The staff are friendly helpful and they speak English very well. We stayed in 3 delux family rooms with balconies. The rooms were all very nice and serviced very well every day of our 5 day stay. There are three set breakfast options on the menu - American, Thai and continental - and we were offered a 4th traditional breakfast option on day 3 which was also very nice. The hotel invites singers and bands (usually soul or jazz orientated) to play in the bar area in the evenings. It can attract a good audience some nights. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

I love the colonial style, it's in keeping with the area. A lovely old building, with fabulous attentive staff. Great value for money in the heart of the old town. Huge rooms with good size balcony's if you want to people watch, our friends had the front facing room number 12 on the fourth floor and they loved it. We were in room 3 at the rear of the property on the third floor with triple aspect room so very bright and airy with a balcony, and we loved ours. Large flatscreen television (around 60 inch) with loads of channels including Netflix. Good fast Wifi throughout. Comfy super king size bed Very good air-con Fridge, tea and coffee facilities in rooms. Limited breakfast menu, but perfectly adequate to kick start the day. Excellent bands on Sundays when the market is on. They also sell draught beer which is hard to come by in this area. The music can be heard in bedrooms, but it is well advertised in the Hotel so not a surprise, and to be honest if you stay in any hotel on walking street it will be the same everywhere on Sunday. It could perhaps benefit from some updating and refurbishment - however it is very charming and unique. If it were refurbished to a high standard of course, with such a beautiful building it would command a significantly higher price than we paid for our stay. We will return next year for sure.

Breakfast can be a bit challenging - the service is somewhat shambolic at times when some residence expect table service and others self-serve, just needs tweaking. It really is difficult to complain about anything though as the Staff are so friendly and accommodating .

Superb location, right in the centre! Easy to get to places and easy pick up for tours. The staff were simply fantastic and so willing to help with any issues. They even made a little packed breakfast for us last minute for an early morning tour, and had great recommendations. The villa is rustic and charming, not your usual run of the mill hotel. Super authentic.

The street can be noisy sometimes as the relaxing areas are outdoors, but that's part of the package with Thailand, especially in a city centre.

The hotel allowed me to check-in early in the morning, which I really appreciated after arriving by night bus from Bangkok. The location is right in the centre of old town Chiang Mai, make everything inside the old town square is within walking distance. Many restaurants and cafe nearby. Breakfast is good. The room is spacious with bath-tub. Almost everything is working well: lighting, hot water, power outlet, etc. If I come to Chiang Mai again, I will definitely stay here.

Sometimes the wifi in the 4th floor is not working / get disconnected frequently. Not a big problem for me as I can use local SIM card data connection. Also be aware that this hotel has no lift (again not a big problem for me).

I stayed on Sunday which there was a night market (close the street), it was fun. The hotel had live music at night which was so good :). The room is big enough for luggage and stuff. The bed is good. Deducted 10 points because there was no hot water for showering. As limited of parking lot, it was not good if you drive. However, lots of public transportation the right in front of the hotel.

We were assigned the room on 4th floor which was not good for my mom (age 83) as she had to climb at least twice a day. Actually, I mentioned this concern (my mom's age) on the booking details but seemed it was ignored from the staff.

Location was excellent, the staff very friendly and the downstairs lounge really nice with good live music every night. My room was large, clean and with a nice view.

The shower leaks water all over the bathroom. There was supposed to be a tv in the room but there wasn't. That didn't bother me but might be annoying to some. The drinks in the lounge were expensive.

One of best places to stay in Chiang Mai. Charming historic property converted to well designed rooms. I was on the top floor with amazing view over the temples and the mountains. Hosts did everything possible to make me feel comfortable. When I was going early - arranged breakfast at 7am. When I had to travel - allowed to keep my huge bag in storage. There's music every nigh and legendary Sunday market you can watch from balcony. Everything was perfect. Very happy and definitely will be back. Thank you

Big bedroom with great balcony and also a big bathroom. The location is perfect but most of all the staff! They were all super helpful land kind. One of the best team I have ever seen! The Villa has great atmosphere with live music. The kindness of the staff is really remarkable :)
