Parasol Inn Chiang Mai Old City Hotel - SHA Plus

Fantastic location in the very centre of Chiang Mai old city, on the same street as the Sunday night market. Very comfortable bed, fast reliable wifi. The staff were very accommodating about extending my stay as I didn't want to leave! Everything was clean, air conditioning was cold and very welcome after a day in the heat.

The only negative comment I have is that when I booked the room there was no mention until I was checking in that the room had no windows. I think this is something important to know, I absolutely would not have booked a windowless room. The check in staff found me another room but I did have to pay a nightly upgrade.

Parasol Inn is conveniently located and the General Manager and the staff at the tour company located next to the reception area were very helpful. Restaurants and street food areas are all within walking distance and the sunday night market starts in front of the hotel.

The fact that my booking was done at two different occasions (having booked the first evening later due to change in travel plans) required me to move out and check in again the next day in a different room. Additionally, my new room was one level up and having to pull the suitcase up another level by stairs was not convenient.

-amazing location! I stayed here one night from Sunday-Monday for the weekly night market. The hotel is in the center of it all and will have you glad you booked it -room view was nice -the room was exactly what I was looking for, right in the heart of town -good pricing, the room is basic but you get what you pay for (no toiletries or slippers but was not a problem for me) -did my laundry here (1kg for 100 baht for expedited service) and it was available within 3 hours -good aircon levels

-the entrance to the hotel was a bit confusing. More signs and a better check in process would be great. Confusing because it is next to a restaurant and a tour office -blackout curtains would be good to have

Central location, comfortable beds

Some of the rooms do not have windows, which is not mentioned anywhere in the description, so beware

“tikkitok” (the man with the hat and suspenders) was very friendly and always accommodating to help with our needs.

The location of the hotel was exceptional. The Sunday market takes place on the street where the main entrance faces and there are also many temple reachable by a short walk. The staff were most of the times helpful. The room was spacious and quite nice as well. Our request for separate beds has also been accommodated.

We wanted to store some of belongings and documents in the safe, which was broken so not usable. We pointed out the issue to the staff, but after they said they will take care of it, they disregarded it completely.

- flexible check in and check out - location is perfect, just in the middle of the old town center - breakfast is not diverse, but nice to have cause other places are opening later nearby (funny to see many people looking for breakfast) - big room and bathroom with ac - wifi is good - very nice staff (cleaning is good with getting new water - finally not in pet but glass bottle!)

- bed is not the most comfortable - noise is not hearable from the street but from the corridor - water pump broke once in the morning but they fixed it until we arrived back in the afternoon

Location was amazing - Sunday walking street market starts directly outside the hotel door and was the highlight of our stay! Staff were super friendly and let us keep our bags there before check in. Room was ideal and the communal area of the 4th floor with a washing machine and microwave was very handy!

Bed could have been slightly comfier but not a big issue for a 3 night stay!

The hotel location is perfect and the owner is kind and helpful. The room was good despite the strong smell of humidity when we first arrived, which disappeared with the use of aircon. I would highly recommend it if you're looking for a good quality and budget friendly hotel !

Things to note is the lack of lift but I didn't think it was such a big issue as there are not that many floors.

Super nice staff, really can't say how much nice they were. We went during Songkran and they made sure to participate in the festivities with us. Apart from that, beds are pretty comfortable and it's super convenient to have a bar/ restaurant next to the entrance/ reception. Highly recommend it!

A/C can be quite strong so be careful with it, you might just get sick.
