From the moment we arrived we felt like we were at home. The Egehan is a small restaurant hotel (3 hotel rooms) and the staff is incredibly warm and welcoming. The room was not large but had everything we needed and was very tastefully decorated. The breakfast with homemade jams was wonderful and the meal we enjoyed at the restaurant was terrific. What stood out for us was the staff - the hotel manager was warm and friendly, the housekeeper felt like a long lost friend and the waiter was a joy to engage with and was incredible in anticipating our needs. If you are looking for big hotel amenities, this is not your place. If you want a small, family like atmosphere, stay at the Hotel Egehan.

Nothing - it was great for us.

From the moment we arrived it felt like we were part of the Egehan family. The room (101) was large, spacious and airy, with 3 large windows, air con and double shower and sink. Around the lovely pool the outside area is stunning, with mature plants and trees giving privacy at all times. Every morning we were treated to a culinary delight of a Turkish breakfast. Lots of fresh ingredients, beautifully prepared. Nothing was too much trouble for the attentive staff as we took long, leisurely breakfasts around the pool. We did not think it could get any better until we ate an evening meal in the hotel restaurant. With the pool and surrounding area lit up at night, it is picture perfect and the food is exquisite. From appetisers, to starters, to main courses, salads and desserts, everything is prepared and presented with care and expertise. It is a dining experience to be savoured over the course of an evening, so take your time. We were also pleasantly surprised by the quality of the Turkish wine. We ate there 5 times, it was so good. Dalyan is a picture perfect holiday resort with lots of boutique hotels and private villas. The river is the focus and winds it’s way down to turtle beach. There is so much to visit in the local area with the highlight for us an evening boat trip to the lake to swim, eat and watch a meteor shower ( we even saw the starlink satellites pass overhead). There is a wide variety of dining options for all tastes. The locals are friendly and chatty but never pushy. It is normally at this point that I would end a review but this was only the start of our experience with Murat, the owner, and his family. Over the 11 days of our stay we made friends for life with this genuine and charming Turkish family. They took us for family days out to local sulphur/mud baths and treated us to meals in beautiful local settings. We cannot thank them enough for their hospitality and generosity, which were genuine and boundless. Tesekkur ederim Murat abi.

The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The location was very quiet (off season and the hotel restaurant was closed while I was there) but also just a couple of minutes' walk to the river and the centre of Dalyan. Chilled background music played throughout the day adding to the boutique vibe and the pool was open even in February when most hotel pools are still empty.

The bed, although very comfortable, was a bit too big for the room I was in with no space to walk around.

The location was brilliant. Very close to the river and very close to the centre of town but far enough away that it is very quiet. It was literally a 4 minute walk into town and a minutes walk to the nearest restaurant (Yener's Place). The hotel is very small with only four rooms which was perfect for us. Everyone who we saw who was staying were very pleasant. The pool is gorgeous and the whole area is very well kept and pretty. The hotel also has a restaurant and I would recommend eating here as food is very tasty indeed and of a high quality at a very reasonable price. We stayed in a deluxe room which was a good size. The bed was very comfortable with good pillows and the shower was powerful and hot. The room was cleaned most days (they are entitled to days off!!) and this was not a problem. We were very happy with our stay. Lovely people.

Just suggestions which I personally think could have made my stay better (but this is just me and I don't speak for everyone!)- as a woman I would love a full length mirror in the room (my husband didn't see this as an issue but we women like full length mirrors. A small fridge would also be wonderful. There is some really nice furniture in the room and then a shabby wooden table with two plastic chairs - which is not in keeping with the rest of the room. It would be much better to have a small dressing table and stool to sit at to be able to get ready. All this said, we did have a lovely stay. Thank you!

Everything from the room, shower, food. staff etc. all was excellent. We have toured Turkey a few times stopping over for between 2 and 7 nights. This is an absolute gem of a hotel. Nothing was too much trouble. Digdem our host at the hotel was brilliant. Great stop off for late night flights only 35 from Dalaman Airport

Everything was excellent

Had the pool to myself virtually every day. Room was clean with decent mattress and bedding. Lovely bathroom.

No balcony or suitable area to dry clothing. No chair in the room.

Great value for money, very good location, quiet but close to the action, cute pool, nearly lux breakfast. We left our ebook and the were really committed to get it to us.

We like everything. Just consider place is small so it is going to be difficult to find accomodation

Friendly, clean, laid back atmosphere, what a little gem and restaurant standard of food is 1st Class.... would definitely come back again... great location too...
