Location: Spectacular. Unfortunately the hot air balloons were all cancelled due to the weather during my stay, but the view from this hotel was so satisfying itself even without balloons. While located in a higher ground in Goreme and offering its view, you can easily walk to the center of the city where you can find a lot of nice restaurants and shops. Rooms: Magical. You will be instantly immersed with the vibe the room has once you step in. I fell in love with every single decor, and the bathroom with a traditional Turkish atmosphere. Beds and facilities are all comfy, clean and well equipped. The hallway to the rooms is like a beautiful maze and you will enjoy it. People: I can't thank enough to the capable and sincere receptionist Ali. He has a good sense of suggestions coming from his knowledge and insight, and that enriched my exploration of the region. You will feel at home by his welcoming attitude and will see that he always tries his best to make sure that the guests have the most enjoyable and comfortable stay possible.

Great location: one of the hotels on top of the hill, with a great view from the breakfast area. 5minute walk to the center where all the restaurants are. Clean and comfortable: rooms were clean, with good AC. Great staff: friendly staff that helped us with booking all the activities and got us great prices. For instance we booked the balloon flight for 100eur per person, and the flight was 5 stars. Huge shout out to the receptionist Hakan (hope I am writing it correctly) who was the nicest person I have ever met at a hotel, helped us with everything and made sure we were having a good time.

Breakfast could be slightly improved. It’s good none the less but not that much variety if you are not into cheese and olives ( there is about 7 types of cheese, and 4 types of olives)

The property is charming with lovely rooms and great panoramic view of the surrounding area from the terrace. The courtyard is shaded with trailing grapevines so you can enjoy time reading on the swing seat or enjoy tea on one of the bistro sets. Birds fly in and out of the courtyard to have a drink from the water fountain or to simply hang out. The hotel have placed what look like terracotta jugs on the walls which the birds were nesting in. Lots of greenery and flowers which adds to the charm of the place.

The caged canary 😢 in the dining area. The breakfast could have been better. It wasn’t prepared fresh which was disappointing as there weren’t many guests. When asked about the cost of transfers to the airport the price given by a staff member was twice the actual cost. I suspect it was his way of making a few extra bucks?!

We had an amazing experience with the Maccan Cave hotel. First of all I had great communication in advance through WhatsApp with the staff. I wanted to arrange my proposal and a lot of surprise excursions for my fiancee. The trip was a surprise for her as well. They helped me with everything I wanted. I proposed on the roof terrace with a nice breakfast during the sunrise with a violist and some photographers. It went like a dream! Also the excursions were all great. We did a balloonride, horse back riding and a private tour with private guide which all went great! The staff was super kind the whole stay and couldn't have dreamed for more! Breakfast was ok, we had a lot of Turkish choices and they made fresh eggs by choise. Also the diner was a great experience! We only ate once at the hotel because we wanted to eat out a lot but we had a lot of fun during our dinner at the hotel! They let us cut the pottery and we had again some live music that I arranged in advance. Also the view out of the window in our room was amazing to see the balloons in the morning!

We don't want to say negative things because we had an amazing stay but if we do have to say some things for improvement it would be these: The light in the bathroom could be a little bit more brighter so you can do your make up a little easier. Also the shower was not that great. You must wait a long time before it gets hot and the pressure was a bit low. Also the massage function of the bad didn't work so we took a normal bad instead. And the last little thing, the bed was a little hard but that could also be something personal. Anyway, these where all little things we gladly ignored because the rest of our stay was amazing!

I loved the hotel so much I was even thinking to stay longer. The staff is super pleasant, the terrace is amazing, the breakfast is delicious, and the location is perfect. Our room was cleaned every day. Any questions we had, employees would go above and beyond to get us help and find answers. I truly enjoyed staying there 🙂

I would improve the parking, but these hotels are on the cliff so every hotel has the same issue and not even sure whether it could be addressed.

Everything was great, better than we expected - the location, view, room, breakfast and the staff. The Owner and the staff were very polite and took care of our special requests - the owner was kind enough to drop us at the bus station. Best part was the million dollar view, especially in the mornings with hundreds of hot air balloons.

Very nice hotel in the heart of old town Göreme. Fabulous location to view balloons in the morning, generous breakfast complete with made to order eggs, comfortable bed and nicely equipped bathroom, however there’s no curtain around the tub so taking a shower makes you create a splashy mess within 2-3 feet of it. Parking is kinda tight and always full so you might have to leave your vehicle somewhere quarter mile away and hike up the hill to the property. The reception and kitchen staff were very pleasant and helpful, especially in organizing last minute hot air balloon trip. To sum up - we had a great experience in Cappadoccia and Maccan Hotel was a big part of it.

This was an amazing hotel in a great location in Goreme. Staff were really friendly and helpful and the rooms were beautiful and so comfy. We loved that our rooms had the feel of cave rooms, but with windows to let in some light and fresh air. So much character and really clean. It was really good value for how nice it was

I liked the rooftop breakfast. You could see the remaining balloons in the air. Location was great and the rooftop terrace is beautiful and perfect for balloon watching.

The walls were thin and you could hear the people next door fighting. The room wasn’t spotless, hair in the sink, coins on the minibar.

The staff was super friendly! Everyone made you feel like family. Super helpful in planning our itinerary and booking our tours for us. Hakan and Bayram were always somewhere close if we needed anything as well as the ladies in the kitchen and restaurant. We really can't give enough stars to this place. Our room was immaculate and everything was so very easy during our stay. We will definitely be coming back with our kids ♡
