Great central location with the metro station less than 2 mins walk away. The breakfast spread was superb and the view was to die for with spectacular uninterrupted views of the Blue Mosque and the rest of the city skyline. The room and hotel was exactly what we needed, perfect for long weekend in Istanbul and at the end of our long days of walking around we were delighted with the extremely comfy beds. The staff service was fantastic and in particular Gagri on the front desk who was always on hand and happy to help and answer our queries and questions. Highly recommend this hotel

The shower water was a little too hot and the cold water stream was very small, but this was only our preference.

Location: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The location of the hotel room couldn't be better. Situated just a stone's throw away from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, it offers great convenience for exploring Istanbul's historical treasures. Additionally, the tram line being a mere 2-minute walk away makes getting around the city a breeze. Breakfast: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The breakfast provided at this hotel was delightful. With a wide array of options, predominantly Turkish cuisine, there's something to suit every palate. However, it's worth noting that there was only one type of salami for meat lovers, which might be limiting for some guests. Staff: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Polite and friendly. They changed the room on the spot because the balcony door was not properly closing and helped us with the luggage.

Noise Level: ⭐⭐⭐ The proximity to restaurants downstairs results in some noise filtering into the room, particularly at night. Unfortunately, the windows aren't soundproof, but this inconvenience is manageable. Cleanliness: ⭐⭐⭐ The cleanliness of the room could have been better. While it wasn't unacceptable, there were areas that could have used more attention. Wearing slippers is recommended.

Our staying at Anthemis hotel was exceptional: - a really nice, well-furnished, and clean room, with a lovely balcony; - great breakfast with a wide variety of food, and an amazing view from the terrace; - incredible, really friendly and helpful staff, who makes you feel like at home - thank you very much for your welcoming service, guys! And special thanks to Ali❤️ - and absolutely wonderful location - 5 mins walk from all the main sights of Sultanahmet district, with all the lovely cafes and restaurants nearby. In general, our experience with Anthemis hotel is 10/10 :)

Room was overall very good, filled with the right amenities. The room was also to a good modern standard. Shower was very good pressure. Breakfast in the hotel has a great view of the aya sofia and the blue mosque, albeit a simple mediterranean style breakfast. Staff were pleasant always.

By now means a fault of the hotel per se, but if you are a light sleeper then a warning that it is very loud outside all the way till at least 3am, in particular as i was on the 1st floor. Can't fault the hotel for that as it is so centrally located to that part of town, but more as an fyi.

I was nervous about any hotel booking due to all the mixed reviews on Booking.com. I can safely say, our stay at Anthemis Hotel made our time at Istanbul very comfortable. Staff - were the best! Serkan, at reception, supported with everything we needed before and during our entire stay. Both gentlemen at reception are super helpful and a pleasure to speak with. Knowledgeable, respectful and the friendliest people we met throughout our time in Turkey. Hotel - quaint and charming. Perfect for the traveling tourist. Rooms - small, clean, cozy. Exactly what we were looking for. Location - Perfect location. 10 minutes walk to some key attractions and 2 minutes from the tram making it easy to get to the Europe side. Difficult to access via car (long, slow drive through traffic.) However, this 'Old Town' part of Istanbul is not an ideal place to drive a car. Value for money - well priced and perfect for our budget! Breakfast - light Mediterranean breakfast with a terrace view. Great way to start the day. -20% off meals at the adjoining restaurant (Massa Bistro)

Noise - there are a few restaurants just below and around the hotel. The locals get merry and loud by evenings. While the festivities are fun to watch it can disturb if you are a light sleeper. I was disturbed only the 1 night out of 3 that I stayed. However, keeping the balcony door closed might help with this. :) (The temperature outside was so chilly, we opted not to use the ACs.)

The hotel is in a very accessible location, we were on public transport from SAW airport in about 1,5 hours. Breakfast was sufficient, small change every day. The rest of the stay was quiet, rooms nice and clean, staff pleasant and helpful.

On the second night of our stay, we had someone break into our room around midnight - they entered the correct access code, took the doorknob, but luckily we had it locked from the inside with a mechanical latch or they would have gotten in. The fact that someone else knew the access code didn't sit well with us considering we had valuables in the room. There are restaurants below the hotel with outdoor seating late into the night and it is impossible to sleep without earplugs as the windows leak.

The location is excellent. With a breakfast bar at the top, which has beautiful views. Breakfast itself was lovely. All the staff were very kind and helpful. Beds were really comfortable too. Windows could be opened which allowed air. Good WiFi in the room.

It did not appear that we could attach a fire stick to the tv as there was a wooden frame around the tv. This was a bit of a shame as there were no satellite channels and with the use of a fire stick we could have enjoyed a bit of tv/ film one evening. Perhaps the staff could have helped with this had we asked. Also there was the smell of mould in the bathroom which was unpleasant but this could be resolved with mould cleaner and plenty of airing.

The location is amazing, just outside the tram station, 5 min to the Hagia Sofia, lots of good and moderately prices restaurants around. Stuff was friendly and helpful, check-in/out process took no time. Rooftop terrace offers a fantastic view over the whole city, each breakfast is an experience. Handy please clean/DnD system, good lighting in the room. Surrounding area was not at all as noisy as we were afraid (though maybe it gets noisier during peak season)

Cleaning is a little early, it happened that by 10:15-20 our floor has already been cleaned and our room got ignored.

We stayed at Anthemis for 4 nights and loved it. The hotel is located within walking distance to Topkapi palace, Hagia Sofiya and the Blue mosque. There are also lots of restaurants and shops nearby. We found Anthemis staff friendly and the facilities great. The breakfast was amazing and had a wide variety of items including cereals, fresh cheese, jams, tea, juices, coffee, scrambled, boiled eggs, fresh bread etc. We travelled with an 11 year old and asked for an extra bed in our room which was provided. The view from our room was breath taking. We could see the Sultan Ahmet (aka Blue mosque) every morning when we woke up. We could see both Hagia Sofiya and the blue mosque from the terrace where we ate our breakfast (the main reason why we chose this hotel). You also get free wifi, which helped us plan our days ahead and keep our families informed. I would stay at Anthemis again in a heartbeat. Their service is exceptional and they are very friendly and accommodating.

The neighbourhood is charming as are the hotel staff. And really it is this warm and generous hospitality that sets the hotel apart from other accommodation. Yes, the cleanliness, free wifi, good beds, great pillows and nice toiletries all made for a comfortable stay. Yes, the location is great for easy access to sights like Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia and a tram stop is just a few minutes away. The view for breakfast is a delight and there are plenty of restaurants in the surrounds (special shout out to Massa Bistro next door where the food and service is great and you get 20% discount). But the staff, including Doĝan, Serkan, Seyfi, Ali, Alp and Sinan go above and beyond to make your stay the best it can be. They are kind, patient, helpful and funny! We had an excellent stay at Anthemis Hotel and would definitely recommend it. Our only tip for those travelling in winter is to have some light clothes if you feel the heat. The aircon inside is (very) warm and we were grateful for the balcony door to cool our rooms. Our only recommendation is resolving some design issues with the bathrooms - shelves and hooks are very high (I couldn't reach!!) and some shower taps are not well-placed. Didn't affect our stay but could easily be fixed.
