We were looking at hotels for a long time before finding Eliza hotel. Because the reviews of most hotels were not good. However, when looking at the reviews of Eliza Hotel we were convinced to take a shot and stay at this hotel for the first time in Istanbul. And we can say that it was worth it!! We were not disappointed at all! - Location: in the centre of Istanbul (next to Kapali Carshi and a 10 minute walk to the beautiful mosks (Hagia Sophia, etc) --> perfect location!! Nearby the restaurants, tram number 1 and a 15 minute walk to Eminonu where you can take the ferry, etc. The most reviews were sceptic a bit about the location due to the loudness, but we stayed there for almost a week and we didn't have any trouble with the noice or something like that. Furthermore, a lot of comments were about the fact that the streets there are a bit outdated, but this is clearly in the whole area since it is the old town of Istanbul. For us, it was not that bad at all. - Service: very sweet and helpful. Once we booked our stay at the hotel, we immediately received a whatsapp text and Booking email of them that they have received the reservation and asked if anything extra was needed (taxi shuttle from airport, etc) which gave us a immediately a very good impression. - Hygiene: this one was the most important one for us, and most hotels in Istanbul this was really hard to find. We can say that the hygiene was very good in this hotel. The rooms were cleaned every day, new towels every day, etc. Furthermore, we had 2 rooms ( a 3 person + 1 person) and they were a perfect size, enough space, good beds and a great bathroom! - Breakfast: the breakfast was OK, not so much variation but it was enough and good. However, with a 10 minute walk you have many restaurants with a view of the bosphorus where you can eat a typical turkish breakfast --> very insta worthy ;)

Overall nothing to complain, very satisfied!!

Everything was perfect — nice room, spotless cleanliness, excellent soundproofing, comfy bed, good A/C, shower with no leaking, cheap laundry service, amazing breakfast, great location, great value for money!

The Tram was close by, as well as restaurants and it's a few minutes to the main roads. The room was large and the breakfast was great. The staff are friendly and helpful.

The only problem is that taxis don't come all the way into this area but it's like this with most of Istanbul. You will be dropped at the main road and will have to walk in. It's not far at all, but its best to take hotel transfers if you have baggage.

I can't fault our stay at Eliza Hotel. Everything was perfect. Rooms were super clean, breakfast was plentiful and on a rooftop terrace overlooking the sea. Plenty of towels, mini fridge to cool drinks. The best shower I've ever had. Comfy beds. Big rooms with lots of space. Location was fantastic - right in the heart of everything. Grand Bazaar a five minute walk. Taxis dropped off outside the door and picked us up there too. Staff were so friendly too. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to people.

Very nice hotel, fantastic stuff - from reception desk who are always kind to help & provide info, over the amazing housekeeping team which does the perfect job keeping the hotel clean, to the kitchen chief and assistants who always prepare really good breakfast and it is buffet on closed rooftop with a sea view! Room has everything what you need, Wi-Fi connection is good. I really enjoyed my time in this hotel! A thumb up!

Everything about hotel itself was great, only issue is loud environment due to many shoe shops nearby hotel.

Many of historical sights are quite near in a walking distance.

Located in the middle of shoes-trading district. You are doomed to stay with windows shut unless you love hearing sounds of cargo unloading, trading people redistributing their stock, adhesive tapes sealing bags and all the similar stuff. Surprisingly, during nights sounds are a lot louder and diverse.

For a citytrip in the center, it is ideal!! Didn’t expect this at all! When you arrive it’s deceiving because you literally are located within the small shops. In the city & it looks outdated. But when you see the building and you enter it… it is so clean, very nice staff & the bedrooms are also very clean & big.

The only thing I can say is that you can hear the neighbors as if they are with you in the room 😂 Fortunately for us we did walk a lot so we fell a sleep easily 😂 & breakfast was very basic but okay!

Breakfast is good every day. Better than average, but probably misses a bit more of choice. Staff is great - kind and polite people, fluent English and totally no misunderstandings. Rooms are clean, nice and cozy. Room service is just amazing. Everything is super clean, fresh and no personal items moved/placed/thrown out in a chaos manner. Additional services (laundry, taxi transfer) were negotiated and executed perfectly.

At the heart of the market everything is close , for people who want to see architecture and sight-seeing and do some shopping. The access to it by car though is difficult maybe because of temporary road constructions

The only inconvenience is that the pictures doesn't reflect the reality , i m happy with my stay but preferred to see real pictures instead of showing pictures that were edited and modified especially for foreigners

The location was good. It was relatively close to the main street (about 2 mins away), but yet far enough from all the noise at night. The breakfast was much better than in a hotel in Bodrum for which we paid the double price for the same amount of days. The vibe of the hotel is not "kitschy", pretty simple and we liked it. One cleaning lady was especially nice and always asked if we need anything additional while cleaning our room. The room was pretty spacious, bathroom is on a bit smaller size but still good. It had a really good air conditioning while it was toasty outside. The stuff at the reception called a taxi for us (upon our request) when we were leaving the hotel.

The street in front of hotel can be really crowded and full of full and empty boxes, sometimes it get's pretty cluttered. The internet wasn't the best, connection gets lost very easily and there was no internet on the terrace where you have breakfast. There is no real balcony within the room, only balcony door which you can open and it is approximately 30ish cms wide. Overall, it wasn't that bad, but just a bit pricey for what we actually got.
