The concierge and bellboy was extremely warm and welcoming and he gave a very detailed explanation on how to get to certain tourist areas and also how to use facilities of hotel and amenities in the room. He left a deep impression.

The spa and Turkish bath facilities though were the reasons i booked this hotel was disappointing. No one spoke English in spa. Place was messy and dirty. Massage room did not even change towels to line the bed after each customer... i was observing them. Masseuse was not skillful also.

My wife and I stayed for a night on the 23rd of May 2022. Loved the location of the hotel, And the staff were absolutely friendly and helpful. Our room, Which was almost the size of an office cubical, Had the best view one could ask for. Important things to note: 1) If you are getting your own car or renting a car, Be prepared to pay 5 euro per day as a parking charge, As the hotel parking for guests is not free. 2) If you do get a room where you won't be able to move or put your bags, Make sure to check it out first before agreeing for that particular room, Because the view is worth it. Although staying there for 2-3 nights or more in that room , Is quite claustrophobic. 3) Make sure to ask the hotel reception for the Bhosporus cruise, It's a real deal breaker (40 euro for 2 people). On the cruise that we went for coffee and tea was for free, But we had to pay for water (10 Turkish lira per bottle) and other snacks. 4) The breakfast is absolute top notch. Again be prepared to be charged if you wish to have an omelette. There are some absolutely wonderful restaurants and cafes around the hotel, Which will enhance your taste buds for sure and not dig a huge hole in your pocket. Lastly, If you are carrying Euro, That's fine. But do get some Turkish Lira as well, Because few places do not accept Euro.

Great location, lots of local shops and restaurants nearby. Not far from Sultanahmet Square and attractions. Tram stations nearby (10 min walk) Beds very comfy, shower hot and good pressure. Wifi worked well. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Thank you Umut & staff for your kindness. The little bar and restaurant has a good vibe. Good breakfast.

It can be noisy if your room is at the front on an evening on the bustling street outside. There is double glazing so not too bad. The traffic starts early at 7am but I took my ear plugs so not a problem. PLEASE NOTE if you struggle with your mobility maybe not ideal as the streets are quite steep/hilly.

If you are travelling first time to Istanbul or want to visit historical places, location of the hotel is very good: 5 min to tram, 10-15 min. to Grand Bazaar and Sultanakhmet square. Breakfast is included. Staff is very polite. Special thanks to administrators (I forgot to ask their names), who helped me during our stay at the hotel: with finding best routes to places that I want to visit, with ordering taxi when it was needed and etc.). Also special thanks for birthday mood, that they made for me with flowers, cake and balloons, it was really unexpected and amazing😊

It was my sister’s birthday, they gave us a little upgrade to a room on the top floor with a beautiful sea view. Staff were very nice and welcoming, had room service almost everyday. Thank you to receptionists and cleaning lady they were very kind. Well organised 🫡

They had few options in breakfast but same every day, never mind I must say everything was quite fresh though and would have been better served different options. Had a massage which felt like a waste of money because the lady who did it was constantly walking in and out throughout the treatment and massage room didn’t look clean. They were not professional 😌

The location was perfect, close to Hagia Sofia. The place is quiet for a good sleep. The hotel is lovely. Breakfast was quite normal and delicious, with the reasonable choice. The room was clean. The staff was friendly and attentive. სასტუმროს აქვს კარგი ადგილმდებარეობა აია სოფიასთან ახლოს. ადგილი მშვიდია და კარგად გამოიძინებთ. სასტუმრო არც ისე დიდია, მაგრამ საყვარელი. საუზმე ნორმალურია, გემრიელი, ზომიერი არჩევანით. ოთახი სუფთაა. პერსონალი ყურადღებიანი და მეგობრულია.

Facilities: There was tea, coffee and sugar on the table in our room, but no kettle. მოწყობილიბები: ოთახში იყო ყავა, ჩაი და შაქარი, მაგრამ არ იყო ჩაიდანი.

Among thousands of hotels in Istanbul, this is no doubt a very good choice I had very little time to book a hotel so I trusted booking.com preferences and I am qlad they lived up to their reputation. Its good value for your money as its very clean, well equipped ( TV, safe, toiletries,kettle, blanket s and extra pillows). The staff was very cooperative. I must mention Mr. Karim at the reception is a real Gentleman. The hotel has 2 restaurant and spa as well and you can have a relaxing massage at discounted price. It's is 5 minute walk to Grand bazar , blue mosque and Mcdonald,s. Its highly recommended hotel to stay. Ask for 5th floor room as you will get a sea view room .

The menu at restaurant needs some Asian dishes like some rice or curry's

Very spacious, accommodating and friendly hotel in the heart of Sultanahmet. Sunlight Hotel has always exceeded my expectations, and being my third visit to the hotel, I am happy with the excellent service offered here. The rooms are warm and homely, with a daily cleaner, and the morning breakfast fresh and plentiful. Best of all, the staff are highly professional and friendly, and hold an excellent command of English. During my stay, Umut, Kerim, Emraan, Mazlum, Fuat and Dilara were very helpful and made me feel right at home, and for this reason, I return to the hotel and Istanbul. Property is located in an area close to the Grand Bazar. Parking is offered at a cost in front of the hotel. Rooms were clean and housekeeping was coming daily to refresh the rooms and change towels. Staff were really accommodating and helpful, shared a lot of useful information. Some of our group took the massage sessions and said it was amazing. Breakfast was good, however I would have liked to see some yogurt. Food was good, traditional to the country. Area was clean and staff was available to help. At the top was a nice terrace.
