The hotel is beautiful and located in the perfect spot to set out every day. The staff are exceptional and incredibly friendly. The terrace was a welcome addition to our stay, as it gave you a comfortable place to hang out other than our room. The view from the terrace is spectacular.

We had a family loft room, with only chair in the space even though I was messaged in advance that there were three. If the terrace room had not been available for lounging, I would have been pretty upset.

Breakfast was very turkish, plentiful and allways under the watchfull supervision of the CAT. The staff was always so helpful and even thought not very fluent in English...we understood each other.

The second bed in our room was a bit unsafe...for a kid. My kid actually fell while coming down the ladder (yes, ladder, not stair) and gave us quite a scare. We asked for a mattress be setup next to our bed. A bit tight, but it worked and we felt safe.

Every single staff member at this hotel were super friendly and helpful in every aspect. Buffet breakfast was amazing - the view from the breakfast area was sublime as it was located on the roof top. Location was pinpoint around everything - allowed us to utilise the trams which was only 5 minute walk from the hotel. They arranged us with transport to the hotel and back to the airport. The staff provided us with numerous site seeing locations, suggested us with wide selection of food places which were amazing! In conclusion, I highly recommend this hotel! Without a doubt one of the best service and hotel views I’ve ever seen!

Absolutely loved our stay at Mest! Everything from the moment we stepped foot into the hotel was perfect. The staff members were so lovely and helpful. We requested a family room with a window prior to arriving as my sister suffers from asthma. The one we booked was without a window. Mahmud was so kind, he ensured to give us a room with a window. The room was so spacious and everything was very modern and clean. Bathroom was also very nice! The view from the terrace was absolutely stunning! Loved having breakfast and admiring the view. They also had the cutest cat called Mestan! He was such a sweetie! Location was great we got so much done. Thank you so much to Mahmud, Emre, Umut, Fatih, Abdus-Sammad and the lovely lady who cleaned our room, she was extremely nice. Thank you for taking such good care of us. Can’t wait to come back again. Lastly the perfume smell as soon as you walk into the hotel and also in the room was so pleasant. I miss the lovely smell.

This hotel is fantastic. We got one of the rooms with the beautiful view of the mosque and we couldn’t be happier. The room was very clean and always smelled great. The restaurant also had this amazing panoramic view of the mosque and Istanbul. The food was great and the overall breakfast experience was perfect. The location was also pretty amazing because it was right in the middle of the markets and the spice souq. It really made us feel like we were in the heart of Istanbul. The hotel location is also strategic and is walking distance from so many tourist destinations (if you’re willing to walk more than 20 minutes). We were able to walk to the Hagia Sophia easily as well as to Galata Tower/Taksim/Galataport. Additionally, we were very happy with the hotel staff as they really stood up for my husband and I when we were getting scammed. We truly appreciate it. They also have a resident cat at the hotel, which I found to be so wholesome and adorable. Overall, the experience we had was amazing and we are very pleased. Thank you!

- Location is in the middle of the market streets..which can be dirty at night/ morning. - Taxis « provided » by the hotel with km counter is always asking for more. they refuse to pay the km counter price and give their «own » price every time.

Had the best stay at Mest - I couldn’t fault it. The location was great - the hotel is central within the hustle & bustle of Istanbul and walking distance from a lot of the tourist sites, however once you’re inside it is so serene. The hotel itself was beautiful - built within a historic building (180 years old!). The rooms were perfect for a short stay and everything was always spotless. The staff were incredible, all so friendly & helpful - all of their recommendations were perfect and they basically devised our whole itinerary for the trip! The breakfast was ideal, and the views from the terrace where you have your breakfast were just wow - looking over the new mosque & the bosphorous. We loved everything about our stay and will definitely be heading back when we’re next in Istanbul!

This was definitely one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at and we highly recommend Mest Hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul. To start off with, we were pleasantly surprised to hear when we arrived that we were given one of the rooms with the best views in the hotel, overlooking the Spice Bazaar and Suleymaniye Mosque - the view was unbelievable! Our room was spacious and modern, while still maintaining a historical feel with its interior brick walls and ceilings. When it comes to breakfast, their buffet included so many tasty options, so we were always trying different foods every day. Also, breakfast is served on the terrace, so all guests get incredible views when savouring their morning Turkish tea, especially on sunny days. Hotel staff were always helpful and approachable - we were given recommendations and directions around the city centre from the beginning of our stay. They were also making sure that our room was meticulously cleaned every morning. We even celebrated a birthday during our stay and they surprised us with a birthday cake! Location-wise, this hotel is excellent for those wishing to discover Istanbul - it takes just 5 minutes to walk to the Eminonu ferry stop, where you can start your cruise on the Bosphorus or take a ferry to cross to the Anatolian side of Istanbul. It's also just 5 minutes away from the Eminonu tram station, which makes the city's main attractions like Aya Sofya, Topkapi Palace and Grand Bazaar very easily accessible. Galata Bridge is also just a short walk away. Bus connections are also great for the rest of the city. A special mention to the hotel's reception staff and Mestan, the hotel's famous cat! We loved our stay at Mest Hotel and cannot wait to be back very soon.

We cannot think of anything that we didn't like! Mest Hotel made our Istanbul trip memorable.

The staff were exceptionally accommodating, helping us plan our first stay in Istanbul, and making us feel like home. They went above and beyond to serve us Turkish coffee at breakfast (which was exceptional, with lots of choices), but also catering to our every need as things arose. They helped us schedule other activities around our 5 days in Istanbul, and thoroughly enjoyed them all. The location is ideal, very close to lots of the famous things to see, and right by the spice bazaar.

There was nothing to criticize. We were so happy with our stay we would recommend it highly to everyone, and would not choose to stay somewhere else the next time we visit Istanbul. An incredible city, and an incredible hotel.

This place is a hidden gem. If I went back to Istanbul, I would never stay anywhere but here. It has a magic tiny entrance from within a bazaar which opens into a cool, marble interior. The staff are incredibly welcoming and speak English well. I paid extra to have a balcony overlooking the mosque, that’s worth doing if you could afford it (4th floor). The fifth floor is Restaurant where they serve a superb breakfast. it’s worth noting that they don’t serve any dinner, but this is trivial because there are so many great places to eat within a couple of minutes. This restaurant also overlooks Istanbul and the mosque. It’s a very relaxing area and you can go up and sit there at any time during the day, where there are drinks available. It’s incredibly central with the main bazaar next door. It’s only about 8 mins walk to the main rail station where you can train and tram to anywhere. I took a boat trip recommended by the hotel staff and it was superb, bypassing the chaos that we saw at the boat terminal.

I liked everything. I really can’t think of anything that I’d criticise.
