We especially appreciated The staff, Omer and all his team they were more than perfect, always there to help us which made our stay in Istanbul magnificent. the location is perfect, 3min walk from we sultanahmet agia Sophia… the metro + tram station are 5min walk away. if you are looking for a place with very good value for money, you will find it at pege hotel.

I just didn't like the bed and the pillow, but if I had asked the team to change my pillow they would have done that with pleasure. do not hesitate they will always be there to help you. I plan to come back to Istanbul and will surely come to Pege hotel

Friendly staff, great location, entry level luxury rooms, clean was good.

Sadly no breakfast. Not major but in the basement family room everytime a toilet is flushed or water is used then you hear the run off falling. Feels like water is about to fall on you if you in the bathroom lol.

Good hotel, good location, everything is good! The pretty girl at the reception always smiled brightly and kindly at my wife and almost never smiled at me, it was very noticeable, in the end I even began to think that something was wrong with me. Although I did nothing wrong, I paid the full amount at once and was a good client in my opinion. Maybe I speak a little worse English than my wife, but I deserve such smiles too!) Otherwise, everything is fine)

We made a booking for our trip in May 2024. Before the actual staying date, we have some questions regarding how to go to the hotel from the airport. Omer added me on whatsapp and provided a very helpful information. We faced some challenges during our trip in Izmir so I asked him for his help and he has been really helpful as well. During our trip in Istanbul, we faced a very long line waiting to enter Hagia Sophia and Basilica Cistern and we couldn't go in, so we decided to go back to the hotel and ask for Omer's suggestion which he suggest the timing to visit Hagia Sophia and help book an online ticket for Basilica Cistern so we don't have to get in line. When we visited Hagia Sophia the next day following his suggestion, Hagia Sophia was almost empty with only a few people!! We can get in the Basilica Cistern without waiting in the queue as well. I'm very impressed with how very helpful and kind Omer is. If I have a chance to revisit Istanbul, I will choose Pege hotel without a doubt.

The hotel Pege is really amazing 😍. The staff is very friendly and they help you with everything. The map with locations and trains I carried all the time while being in Istanbul. The rooms are very clean and they clean the rooms every day while bringing water, coffee, sugar.. one day they even brought us candy. The street where the hotel is located is very quiet. The stores/ bakeries in that street close up until 9 pm. The hotel is also located next to government building and it's very safe area. You are incredibly close to Aya Sophia, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazar and all those fancy touristic stops. We even walked to Galata Tower 😁 but public transport is amazing in Turkey so make sure to use it. I would like to thank Omer Muhtar who provided guidance and he even has his own website/ social media where he recommends the locations to visit. Make sure to utilize that. I really enjoyed my time here, I am recommending it to everyone because it was such a worry-free trip thanks to wonderful stuff and location of the hotel.

Omer and the staff were fantastic in there advice for places to visit and times to go Ideal location to go and see the main sites e.g. Hagia Sofia Mosque, Blue Mosque Grand Bazaar, Topkapi Palace all were about 5 -6 min walk Even though there is no breakfast included but not a problem there are lots of restaurants around to taste local cuisine. It was hot and Omer kindly provided unlimited water for us ..family of 5 .. very kind and thoughtful. Highly recommended !!

Not much really !!! Just a long old drive from the airport to Sultanahmet District Toilet was a little on the cosy side

We found the Pege Hotel to be a great little hotel with clean, comfortable rooms and very effective air conditioning. The staff were polite and very helpful. Perfectly located for Sultanahmet, it's a short walk to Basilica Cistern, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar etc. We had a standard double room which was a little on the small side but had a juliette balcony, looking out on to the street. Complimentary water and a fruit plate was a nice touch and, as I celebrated my birthday during our stay, I was presented with a box of Baklava as well! Bed linen and towels were good quality and spotlessly clean. The mattress was lovely, clean and comfortable and the bathroom, whilst quite compact, was great with a wonderfully powerful rainfall shower. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant but the street outside is filled with small hotels and various places to eat and once out on to the main road, you'll be spoilt for choice with restaurants everywhere you look. There is also a small supermarket a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. If you're after an economical but pleasant stay in the main tourist area, Pege Hotel is the one for you. Thank you all for everything - we can't wait to come back!

No complaints at all. Everything was perfect

First thing at hotel was meeting Emaan at the reception. She took good care of us. Advised us about things to do and things not to do. We followed her advice and worked well for us. All staff were very polite. Room was clean and was air conditioned. Hotel located very central so walking distance from all main attractions of Istanbul. All in all money well spent.

Staff at hotel very polite but found people generally very rude. If you ask price of some item at a shop or somewhere, they expect you to buy that. If you don't, most become really rude. Didn't expect that from Turkish people.

We loved our stay there! Location is excellent in possibly the safest area, easy access to public transport and a 5 mins walking distance to most sights you need to see. The owner Ömer however, is the hidden gem of this place with his ideas and directions of where you can go, how you can get there and what you can do. When I go back to Istanbul, I'm going there 🙂

Perfectly located to explore the many landmarks near Sultanahmet as well as the Gálata bridge.

we had the basement room and it got pretty heated even during the nights when temps were in the 40 degree Fahrenheit and we struggled to adjust by ourselves and finally with the assistance of the staff - it still for some reason refused to cool. We also heard water gurgling from other levels of the hotel in the night as well as some weird tapping sounds - kept me awake a bit!
