Clean and nice location near to famous street

Too many drunk people and the way to enter the hotels

Excellent location, just off the mess of Istiklal but before the steep hill. The hotel feels like an oasis of calm in the busy city centre. It has a nice and quite luxurious feel to it! the duplex room is very large! BUT there are some fixups to do. I

The room (stayed in no 22 - duplex room) COULD be perfect with a few fixups; - nowhere to hang jacket/coats. Please put a hanger on the wall!! - Place a full size mirror somewhere on the lower floor by the exit - Lighting… not enough and random, for such a nice room! - have proper sofa table instead of the soft square in it’s place - the faucets in the upper bathroom are malfunctioning - the small shower is leaking big time

I have just returned from my holiday in Istanbul and had to write an excellent review straight away, while it was all fresh in my mind. The hotel staff were so wonderful. Friendly, warm and very helpful whenever we asked any questions about using the metro, taxis for the airport or an additional information. On out last night my husband fell over and sprained his ankle pretty badly. I went down to reception and asked for some ice, which they brought up straight away, even though the kitchen was closed. The lovely man with short white hair always had a big smile and nothing but warmth and a smily face for us. He was such a gem!!! He even gave us a prayer mat. I booked this hotel due to it's modern and colourful, pink yet stylish interior design and intended to have a brand photography shoot there for my business. The hotel was very helpful and made it all easy for me. I wasn't expecting that much for the breakfast and we had intended to go out to the local area in Taksim for a good traditional breakfast, yet I have to say, I adored their breakfast, there was a good variety of everything you could possibly want, home cooked warm food, a good range of baked patisseries and bread, we never felt the need to venture out in the morning ( the weather was quite cold) for breakfast. Our bedroom had noise cancelling double windows which reduced the noise from the outside massively.

The hotel is located at the very central area, location is great! The street itself is not perfect and clean, but you can walk 2 minutes and you are on Istiklal street. Room and the whole hotel was very clean, staff very supportive and helpful.

Breakfast. Veeeeery poor breakfast and everything the same everyday. Additionally, the hotel does not have a restaurant or relaxing place where you can stay for the case when it’s a bad weather or you need to stay at the property. No area for the kids. Very old building and you hear everything what’s happening around the room. I mean - everything))))

Good location, good and big room, very nice view from windows. In total we had a quite comfortable stay, but it is better to renovate the rooms or repair.

One of the sinks wasn’t working and we asked two times to fixed it. Also the door to the toilet is a sliding one and not give you enough of soundproofing Also at first evening we asked reception, where to go for dinner and they told us to go to Sur Balik. Don’t go there. Too expensive and not good.

Hotel is recently renovated and nicely designed. The room that we had is spacious, all amenities were in place. They also organized a paid transfer from/to the airport for us. The location is very central, most of things are accessible by foot.

The street is just nuts. I understand that the hotel can’t directly influence the street condition right now but the building was definitely sold with a discount due to that. Making an expensive and supposedly luxury hotel on such a street might be not the best idea. There are prostitutes on the streets, brotel (gay sauna?), a club that scams tourists, and some other really weird looking people. Our checkin was delayed by 1 hour because they were fixing something in the room. I guess it was something related to pipes, and unfortunately it didn’t help much. There was still some bad pipe-alike smell in the room when you return there.

The Pros: I love the Room Mate chain of hotels, as each one gives you the sense it is a boutique hotel in that each is very unique and typical to the location. But you also get the reliability and system/uniformity of quality of a chain. So, you get the best of both worlds. The cost is more reasonable than most Room Mates and the location is optimal (right in the heart of Cihangir and very near the main pedestrian shopping street here). It is 8 minutes from Taksim Square. The decor is chic and tasteful and the rooms are ample, such that you feel like you're in a studio flat. It is quiet and clean. The staff are wonderful. I was impressed especially by Onur, the front manager, who was very professional and efficient. I stayed here for an extended 3 weeks, and have already booked another 10 days in a few months as I felt very much at home. I will recommend this hotel to most people to whom it is suited. The kind of person who would like this hotel is a young-minded person who is really interested in immersing themselves in the heart of old/fun/hip Istanbul. Big plus: the room service breakfast is just 10 euros and it is the best ever!!! See photo.

The Cons: 1. the AC makes a buzzing sound, which is strange as I have Daikin AC at home and it is silent. The AC is either too strong or not strong enough. I found it was difficult to get the balance right. 2. Hotel located up a very steep hill that makes it difficult for taxis to drive up. This is typical of Cihangir though. 3. When the wind changes, you get a bad smell coming from the plumbing (at least this was how it was explained to me). This is typical of this area in Istanbul, however, due to old plumbing and is not an issue particular to this hotel.

The location was good in the sense it is accessible to to the main areas . The hotel from inside was beautifully designed an oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. The staff was friendly and helpful

Outside the hotel the area was busy and noisy dirty and some seedy clubs.they need some sort of room service the kitchen is only for breakfast. The bathroom was not well planned heaVy doors and awkward to access shower space

The staff here are lovely, always incredibly helpful and professional. The room was nice and spacious, very clean (and room service comes around super quick if you leave the tag on the door, like within the space of having breakfast downstairs) the decoration of the whole place is really cool actually. Breakfast here is really good too, loads of options, no room service with food but the staff will help you order delivery at reception. Good location too but be sure to pre book taxis.

The rooms are quite spacious and clean. Breakfast is simple and limited, but good service. Very well situated, with easy access to Istiklal and Taksim Square. Staff are friendly and helpful Julia at reception is a STAR

Not the hotel's fault, but some of the buildings around the hotels are very old and there seemed to be some dodgy stuff taking place in those buildings. I would not recommend if you are going there with children/elderly. Walking around with the children late evenings was very uncomfortable.
