The hotel was a very good value for money. Rooms are comfortable. Location very central. Staff was extremely helpful, friendly, and service oriented. Murat was great help in advising us on restaurants and tours and arranging everything from our Bosphorus tour to our transportation to the airport. Even though the entire staff was fantastic, I need to single out one more gentleman besides Murat. Unfortunately, I do not remember his name but my friend was asking for a very specific type of Turkish ice cream and where can we get it and he surprised us all and had these ice creams sent to our rooms. On the house. We are all very very happy with our stay. We will come back and recommend to our friends.

Location, price, staff and cleanliness all excellent. Breakfast food was fresh with plenty of choices. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Able to suggest and arrange local tours, some with a discount for 2 persons. Proximity to plenty of local dining venues. Proximity to many tourist sites.

The room temperature was a little too warm and we could not adjust the temperature using the room temperature controller. No TV channel guide to show English (or other language) channels. Scrolling through the many channels was laborious and we eventually found only 3 channels.

After the week of staying in "Aprilis Gold Hotel - Special Category" I can only say that it was definitely the right choice to make to stay there. The hotel is very close to main attractions and it allows you to get early to see them before the queues become unbearable. Although the Sultanahmet area is a busy one, the hotel is on a side road which was quite during our stay. The staff (front desk and people taking care of the rooms) is very friendly, polite and very attentive to your requests. Thanks a lot for this, this does really make a difference! The rooms are very clean and the breakfast has a good selection of tasty dishes. We were travelling with children and the place felt safe during our stay. All in one, happy to recommend it.

The air conditioner is a bit tricky to navigate. It maybe a good idea to give a bit of instructions for the guests on it. Also, it would be good to have a couple more tv channels in English. The only channel in English I found was the news one which is not exactly you want to watch during holidays. :) But this is only a minor comment as we didn't come to watch tv in Istanbul... So, all good.

From the first time we entered the hotel, all of the staff we met could not do enough for us. Be it the reception staff to the kitchen to the room cleaner. All are brilliant and friendly. The room was lovely, even with a baby cot we still had plenty of room for 2 large cases and a toddler back carry system. The bed was massive and comfy, the room facilities can't be faulted. The location is ideal, close to very good transport links either up or down the hill. Lots of the main attractions are very close by. Down the hill by the little kids park is lots of local little restaurants that all do great, reasonably priced food. All in all the hotel made our week city break a brilliant week away.

No real fault, just a picky eater so for myself and child maybe a few more options at breakfast. But this is not a negative as we always managed to leave breakfast full and ready for a day of walking around Istanbul.

Great hotel, spotlessly clean and the staff were absolutely lovely. Our room was spacious with two false balconies so lots of light and ability to open and let air in. The bed was super kingsize with a firm but comfortable mattress. There is air conditioning/ heating in the room. The area is very quiet after midnight and not too boisterous at any time just a nice hum of voices/occasional vehicles. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and the shower very powerful with a rain and handheld shower head. Housekeeping comes in every day to clean and replace towels etc there is a good quality iron and ironing board available and room service that has food, drinks (including alcohol) and other toiletries, phone chargers etc should you have forgotten anything. The hotel will arrange tours if you would like them - boat trip on the Bosphorus was an enjoyable and a great way to see a macro Istanbul (which is huge btw!). They also arranged transfers from the airport for us - Sabiha Gökçen for €110 return which was cheaper than other options I could see online. The area is a few minutes walk to the tram which takes you all over Istanbul and the Grand Bazaar. It is also easy walking distance you the blue mosque, Hagia Sophia, Sultanahmet Sq, Gulhane Park etc I’d highly recommend the hotel.

The hairdryer wasn’t very powerful

Hotel is extremely well located. The facilities are amazing, clean and the staff is really helpful and friendly. Also the food they offer is delicious. The details in the room are a 5 stars hotel. The day we arrived we had a problem with our transfer and the recepcionist on duty (Mr. Veysel) saved us from a nightmare. He immediately arranged a way for us to arrive to the hotel at 1:30 a.m and still took care of our safety and pockets. As soon as we arrived he explained us how the city works and kept asking if we needed any kind of help during our stay. For me, to arrive into a hotel where you feel so well welcomed is one of the most important things while traveling. All the staff: recepcionists, waitresses, housekeeping and bellboys were amazing but definitely I'm very grateful about Veysel's help and kindness. I know he is great at his job cause I saw him working with other guest as much as he worked with me. In general, I will definitely go back to this hotel in case I visit Istanbul again.

The only tiny thing I could say is that if other guests make loud noises next to your room you can basically hear them. I needed to call reception 2 times during the night cause my neighbors were loud but it was basically guests fault, they were laughing and yelling at 2 a.m but the recepcionist on duty also helped me out by calling them and everything worked fine. Staff is really well educated and helpful. They are always there for you!!

Location was good - it was only a 2 minute walk from the metro station. Good breakfast spread. Comfortable rooms. Outstanding service by the hotel staff who were attentive and accommodated to our needs. For example, the staff helped us with bookings of the Turkish night tour, and accommodated to our special requests such as a late check-out. Special thanks to Ismail, Veysel, Alaattin, Murot, Dogon, Sumeyye and Nozor for being so helpful and welcoming.

The hotel is situated on a slope so it was tiring to walk uphill/downhill, especially for our elderly parents.

The first impressio was the friendly staff who made us feel welcomed the moment we entered the hotel. And every time we came to the reception, they would get up from their chair to say hello, ask if we needed anything and wished us a nice time. The location of the hotel is just between the blue mosque and old bazar - 10 minutes walk to each side. It's very central and you only have a few minutes walk a small uphill to get to the main street which has a tram line. There are a few supermarkets and restaurants in the same street as the hotel, which is a bit "hidden" from the main street where all the tourists are, so you can go out to eat, paying much less than you would have on the main street. We booked two rooms which were connected by a "in-wall-door". The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We also had a small balcony where we could enjoy morning coffee, watching the seagulls on the opposite building's roof. The area is quite calm, so we did not have trouble sleeping. The breakfast was good, there was a nice variety of food. The hotel staff organised a taxi transport from the airport to the hotel, and the way back for a fixed price. This was very convenient for us, because we did not have to worry about finding a taxi ourselves or worrying if we would be ripped off by the taxi driver.

The wifi was not the best - in one of the two rooms the signal was poor sometimes.

We had a very enjoyable stay in the hotel. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. They even had a birthday Cake for my partner's birthday. The Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast had a lot of options and is pretty good. You can walk to the main sites in Istambul. Everyone on the hotel is really nice, specially Ismail, who even gave us card with discount to come back Next time.

As the hotel is really close to the center, early on there's a lot of traffic and noise, but nothing the hotel can do about that.

I wanted to share my feedback about my recent stay at your Aprilis Gold Hotel in Istanbul. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. The staff, particularly Murat and Aladdin, were exceptional in their service and made my stay quite pleasant. They made me feel at home. The cleanliness of the hotel and its convenient location, along with the secure parking at the sister hotel, were definite highlights. Having my car parked safely while I explored Istanbul was a great relief. However, I must admit that the breakfast was a bit lacking in variety and options. The spacious rooms were a definite plus, providing ample comfort during my stay. However, the AC, which may not have been ideal for someone coming from Sweden, could use improvement. In summary, I would rate my stay at Aprilis Gold Hotel a 9.5 out of 10, especially when compared to hotels in the Sultan Ahmed area.
