Property host Deniz is exceptional. He was very warm and welcoming and went out of his way to make our stay memorable. The location of the property is fantastic, only walking distance to all the attractions Istanbul has to offer. We especially looked forward to the traditional Turkish breakfast served up each morning and the chat with Deniz about what sites and attractions to visit. He is a living history encyclopaedia and staunch tourist ambassador for Turkey.

A little variation in breakfast ( it was ditto everyday), Small additions to accessories like conditioner, variation in teas etc, the room we stayed in needs repair work on the wooden tiles, there is no service after about 4-5 pm unless Deniz is staying there ( we were lucky, he was, when we there) - if you need water or anything,

Deniz & Tatiana are wonderful hosts. Our room was spacious and very quiet at night, even though the hotel is close to many points of interest. The Wi-Fi is strong, as is the AC (important during these hot Istanbul summer days). Breakfast was basic but sufficient for a good start to the day. We had a very enjoyable stay at Villa Sphendone.

Guests with physical limitations should note that there are stairs to the rooms and to the breakfast area.

Everything was perfect, and unexpected! the location was ideal, you couldn’t ask for better spot close to all historical sites of old Istanbul. the best part, was our host Deniz! He took such good care of us and was proud to show us a genuine welcome and tour of the area. We were introduced to so many Great local shops and restaurants because of his guidance. The value of this place was amazing. we stayed in the Sofia room. .Our stay was short but our memories will be forever. Would definitely recommend for anyone to make this their primary place to stay when visiting old Istanbul.

Everything was perfect and beyond what we expected.

Very well located, 5 min walking to the Blue Mosque and to many touristic places. Also very close to public transportation to visit the rest of Istanbul. Very good WIFI, excellent breakfast and cleaning, very confortable room. Deniz also gave us many tips and recommendations to visit the city! Fantastic place to come back.

The host Deniz is the best in kind. I've been traveling around Europe and stayed in dozens of hotels in 2 months, and he has been The Best. The place is close to restaurants and maybe a 10 minute walk to the Mosques. Everything was clean, and the big bed was very comfy.

Our stay was splendid. In short, Deniz - our host, made the stay. He is extraordinarily kind and willing to help and speaks superb english. Thanks to his tips we used our time very efficiently. The breakfasts served were delicious!

Very large room with extremely comfortable bed, large bathroom with spa bath + shower, great breakfast, excellent location 5 mins walk from The Blue Mosque, and of course Deniz the super friendly, knowledgable, and accomadating host.

The location, room and decor was very charming.

The aircon in one of the rooms we rented was not effective and it was very hot during the time we rented. Otherwise it was an amazing experience and I would go there again.
