Central location, excellent customer care attentive staff with traditional Japanese hospitality. High standard of rooms and hotel facilities. Had direct access to Hakata station only a few 100m away via the Gion passageway very important in inclement weather!

Pricey to use the pool and gym. I was also told I couldn’t use the pool on more than one occasion, there was no booking system so literally had to turn up and take pot luck. The pool was full when 3 people were using it as only one customer per lane. Lovely 20m pool though. The other downside was that no one under the age of 20can use the pool or gym. We had booked the hotel specifically as it had a pool as we were in Fukuoka for the World Masters swimming competition in which I was competing so the lack of access to the pool was extremely disappointing. Pricey restaurants

The location is excellent and the staff is wonderful!

The rooms were very dusty! They have changed towels etc every day, beds immaculate however the carpet is old and it was not vacuumed during our stay on less frequently used places. The corners had visible thick dust. I had to wipe of the dust using wet wipes from certain surfaces in the room after 6 nights of stay as I could not see it any longer. The pool was good however it was disappointing that children could not use it. I have particularly booked this hotel because of the pool and location. The extra charge if I wanted to use the pool and gym is slightly a smaller issue however certainly disappointing for a property of this grand!

Very near to Hataka Station and 20min taxi ride to airport (no traffic jam). Lots of restaurants and shopping malls surrounding. Easy access to anywhere. Breakfast has 2 selection either western or Japanese. Spread was superb. Hotel staffs friendly and helpful. I left a tote bag of duty free items in room after check out. Staff managed to found it and bring it down to lobby and handed over to me, knowing that i am rushing for my flight. Thank you for the help rendered. Will definitely come back again.

The lift does have a smell not sure why.

1) Location - within walking distance of about 5 mins to Hataka train station and bus terminal. 2) Room size - it was big enough as compared to other hotels. 3) Room has plenty of electrical outlets especially for those who has multiple electronic gadgets. 4) Connecting rooms - not a lot of hotels have this feature nowadays. 5) Plenty of toiletries provided

1) Bed was a little hard and pillows cannot support neck well - all 4 of us complained of neck aches

The staff were super courteous and professional. The best thing about this hotel is its location just a short walk to Hakata Station and the surrounding retail and restaurants.

This is more an observation than criticism, but this hotel seems to cater more to business professionals than tourists. Not a negative in any way just something to be aware of if you're looking for more of a resort atmosphere.

The Japanese breakfast at the Benkay Restaurant.

The taxi service from booking com (Reference 39261240) was very disappointing. The driver (Mr. Feng - obviously a Chinese National) from Heycars was not so familiar with the exact location of Hotel Nikko. We had to direct him to the place. His attitute was rather poor. We will never again use this service

It was an excellent service by Concierge Staff especially by Isamu Moronaga ( Jonathan ). He was very helpful in successfully finding 2 seats for us to get bus tickets for Yufuin when earlier we failed, but he fought for the best result until late evening, Our conclusion Moronaga san is a man who always done his best. Highly appreciation for him' Also the good services from staff during breakfast every morning in Japanese restaurant

Parking was easy and convenient. Staff were helpful. Dinner at the Japanese restaurant was delicious and the buffet breakfast was extensive with the ability to eat from 6.30am, which was useful given our early start. Our room was quiet and we slept very well indeed.

Our room was pretty bland with no real view. This is a really big, business-oriented hotel. Location is convenient to drive to but we had to walk some way to the castle and park.

the shower has great water power and the temperature control is excellent. although the English speaking level of the staff is not very good, the response and attitude are very efficient and positive.

the overhead shelf above the toilet does not have a side wall so the towel or cloth put on the shelf may have fallen into the toilet. Suggest change the design of the shelf by adding a side wall or side bar to prevent stuff from falling into toilet by accident.

very convenient location. right in front of Hakata station. rooms are very spacious. they provided umbrellas when it rained. the concierge even booked my bus tickets for me and helped me with Taylor Swift tickets !

property could use a facelift but it’s not in bad shape at all!
