Every aspect of the hotel was perfect, well appointed and very well thought out. In nice neighbourhood, bus stop right out front. Parking lot is small but there is parking on the street from 6pm-8am. The pub attached is patronized by locals stopping by for a bite or beer. Fabulous covered patios area out front with many screens from where we were able to watch a couple of sporting events. Felt very very comfortable and loved cheering along with the crowd. Breakfast was delicious and you had a quite a few choices. We did not hear the pub one bit in the evening but the heavily carpeted floors would help. Spotless clean, the people working actually seemed to enjoy their job there. Housekeeping were kind, cheerful and very willing to help in anyway. The bathroom was roomy spotless clean

The alley to parking lot is quite slim, what I disliked the most of all leaving!

The staff were excellent, very friendly, and couldn't be more gracious. We actually had the wrong date booked (my fault, I was trying to be organised) and when we showed up a day early they did their best to be helpful. Certainly made a stressful situation much less stressful! The room was beautiful, beds comfortable, and the food was excellent.

The parking on site is abysmal. If you're at all nervous in small parking spaces then it isn't for you; however the people at the hotel were great about presenting alternative parking areas and it wasn't a big deal. Definitely worth asking for that information ahead of time though!

People make places and the staff here are really lovely. Great value, lovely staff who are helpful, efficient and very polite. I booked a single room which in spite of the single bed was spacious and good to work in. Is a working restaurant and pub so room service was great!

I knew before I booked that the Dutch mill is a busy pub and the room i had was directly above the bar so it was a bit noisy, but for me the room was fairly priced and no issue with ear plugs. I’m sure the other rooms away from the bar would be quieter.

I stayed at the Dutch Mill Hotel a few weeks ago and it was wonderful. The staff were very friendly, warm, professional and efficient. Nothing was too much to ask. The room was spotless, large and very comfortable. The bar and restaurant downstairs were both lovely and very convenient with delicious food and drinks. Being so close to the city - a very pleasant, flat walk down a beautiful tree lined street - was also great. I highly recommend the Dutch Mill Hotel.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was lovely. The beds were comfortable.

The wall paper edging needs sticking back in.place in various places. The shower head leaked. The room smelt like crayola crayons, we think it was the diffuser so we put it on the landing, it made a slight difference. I'm not sure it was 4 star. The car park is very tight to get in and out and there is no guarantee you will get parked.

Staff were very friendly, room was very comfortable. The pub and restaurant was great atmosphere and good value for money as well as the food being delicious. Breakfast was lovely.

The parking is a little squashed. I had to wait for someone to leave before I could get my car out as there is not a lot of room to manoeuvre.

This was quite a special stay - I went to St. Joes next door many moons ago before leaving to live in Aus. I have many fond memories of the Dutch Mill (with thanks to my parents). Loved the friendly staff, the cleanliness, the service - had both dinner and breakfast with every meal being tasty, hot and fresh. The location was fantastic also - close enough to everything whilst also being quieter. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to all.

Nothing.

This is a small hotel above a large pub and restaurant, but the rooms are a good size and extremely clean and comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We arrived early on our first day and had breakfast, and when we came back for the afternoon our bags had been looked after and taken to our room, which was a nice touch. Aberdeen is freezing, but the room was toasty warm and very quiet - even though there was a band downstairs, we couldn't hear anything. Rooms were spotless and the daily complimentary water (in glass bottles!) was a lovely touch. Breakfast was good, and it was great they had a vegan option available (one of us is vegan). We had an early dinner in the restaurant one night - it was a Saturday and it looks like it gets booked up up, so it might be worth booking ahead if you're planning a proper evening meal. quality of the food and service was very high. This is one of the nicest city breaks we've had, and a large part of that was down to this hotel.

Everything was perfect. One of the best pub hotels I've ever stayed in.

Very tastefully decorated hotel. The staff were very efficient and the breakfast was tasty and generous. The restaurant was just as equally stylishly decorated, with a good menu. It was a little ‘airy’, almost uncomfortable.

The parking was horrendous, we have a new car and one of the mirrors got caught on the wall. For this reason we would probably not visit again, which is x shame as it felt a very personal hotel.
