The location was perfect for the area and places I was visiting. Trevor and staff (Michael) were most welcoming and friendly. The location was very peaceful. The restaurant was absolutely lovely and my evening meal was delicious, loved the double baked cheese soufflé. Had I not been driving the next day, I would loved to have had some of their fine wine. The breakfast selection was excellent. My room and bathroom was absolutely spotlessly clean.

Only one thing that is personal to me as everyone is different.

The refurbished period property retains many original features and blends a rustic charm with a 21st century clean sheen. I was surprised to find an en-suite was nearly as big as the main room! (which in itself was ample) A stand alone roll top bath was almost swallowed by the large room which also boasted a mixer shower with a drencher head in a seperate enclosure. I had a gourmet dinner and breakfast (smoked haddock and poached egg with Hollandaise sauce though there are also several other options available, including a homemade granola) All the food was outstanding and as good as you’d get anywhere. And was polished off well with several local beers. The village itself was quiet and made up of a variety of smart well kept property.

The wifi could have been a little faster, though i managed. I suspect it has more to do with being out in the sticks than the proprietor.

Breakfast was excellent. We ate in the restaurant for our evening meal as well. This far exceeded our expectations. The food was exceptional as was the service. Cannot recommend highly enough, even if you just eat in the restaurant. For a small B&B, even the little touches like toiletries in the bathroom made it an excellent choice to stay just for one night.

N/A - there was nothing that we could complain about.

This grade II listed building is incredible! I loved the quirkiness, my room was adorable with a large bathroom and really comfortable. I was only there one night, attending a wedding nearby, which means I sadly didn't get to spend as much time there as I'd have liked! Delicious breakfast. Massive thanks to the owners for calling me after I left to tell me I'd forgotten my phone charger, so I could return to retrieve it!

Loved the Angel Inn building, very old, but beautifully decorated with modern and ancient décor. The breakfast was excellent served by a very friendly chef - lots of choice. Location was ideal for our day at my granddaughter's wedding.

The weather was stiflingly hot (due to heat wave). A sheet under the duvet would have been ideal then we could have had a cooler night just under a sheet on the bed.

Very near to where I was working. Breakfast was great and the shortbread biscuits provided in my room were delicious. I was very well looked after.

Only downside was that I had no desk to work at in my room, luckily I was able to use the restaurant area the next morning and it was quiet enough (no other guests about)

The Angel is an inn in the traditional style but with all the comforts of the 21st century. Oak beams beams, an open fireplace and country theme decor go hand in hand with 5 star food and modern facilities (good speed wifi, lovely bathrooms, comfy bed, generous room size, tea & coffee making facilities etc). Everything is clean, inviting and the staff are efficient, helpful and polite. I booked The Angel because of the location (I had a business meeting nearby) and because it had good reviews. I was very pleasantly surprised. Would definitely stay there again.

As well as staying overnight at The Angel, we had dinner there with family (a party of 7). We all had 3 courses, coffee, wine (and a couple of whiskies to finish) and we were all absolutely delighted with everything, including the service. It did mean we had high expectations of breakfast, which were fully met!

We genuinely cannot think of anything that could have been improved.

Really lovely village to explore and the building I stayed in was one of the villages historic buildings - beautiful. The food was excellent.

Nothing I didn't like but it is expensive when travelling alone. couples get a much better deal (this is why neutral face on value).

Dinner and Breakfast service was excellent, personable and friendly.

Not particularly an issue but there were small beetles all over the bath which looked like an infestation in the wooden beams above it. Didn't bother me but I kept having to wash them away.
