great location for my needs. surprisingly quiet despite being on a main road. it’s a lovely old building with plenty of character. it is a bit tired, but you can see they have tried to make it high end with the decor and furniture. staff are all lovely, super helpful and friendly. decent breakfast with good coffee and friendly service.

I’m always irritated when I ask reception to book a cab and they hand me a card and ask me to do it myself. but that’s a minor quibble.

Perfect location, very central. Friendly staff. Car park was large and close by £5 for 24 hours which we didn’t think was bad. You can pay at hotel reception or via the machine. Hotel was quiet during our stay.

Decor throughout was very shabby and needs upgrading. Room was a decent size but room and bathroom are in dire need of redecoration. Breakfast was adequate but not amazing. We stayed for 3 nights and our room was not cleaned or tidied once. Apparently they do not clean rooms for stays of less than 4 nights but we were not told this.

Situated right in the centre of Thame, the hotel is small and can genuinely be described as a bit quirky! Our room was not huge but is was clean and very comfortable, located somewhere within the labyrinth of small corridors and stairs! Since the hotel was laid out in this way it might not suit those with mobility issues but I'm sure that persons could be accommodated if the hotel is made aware of any problems. We had a very pleasant stay and although we didn't have an evening meal we did have breakfast on two days, which was excellent. Very friendly staff and a good atmosphere. Would definitely stay there again. There is a public car park behind the hotel which is ideally suited for hotel customers. Charges for a 24 hour period are £4. When we arrived we struggled to find the necessary change for the machine but then we learned that we could just have paid at the hotel reception using a bank card. This is worth knowing! Not the cheapest hotel in the area but overall not so expensive given the area.

Nothing really.

Most welcoming and friendly staff, the breakfast was very good and served in a friendly and helpful way and also having an area where our dog could also be with us for breakfast, excellent. The bedroom was a great size for us travelling with the dog and a very comfortable bed if you like a reasonably firm lay. The bathroom was a good size and had a bath and a shower which is great for choice. If and when we go back to Thame we would certainly stay here again.

For our short stay I cannot find any thing to fault this hotel.

Beautiful hotel, staff were lovely, breakfast was delicious, location was amazing; very central, the room was spacious and tastefully decorated and clean.

The bedside tables and desk were a bit sticky which is probably attributable to the heat (we stayed during the heatwave) and the fact that they are traditional pieces of furniture, and because the hotel is quite traditional, there was no aircon - but there was a fan, which helped keep us cool overnight.

Stayied a few times over the yrs this being the best by far..changes & improvement in breakfast menue & I think possibly staff .they couldn't be more helpful & attentive. After a very long difficult train journey it was a big relief to be checked in much earlier than expected. Thankyou to everyone especially manager Brian

I would have preferred a walk inshower not over the bath one but I managed ok for 1 night & was pleased to be on ground floor in.huge livy comfy room

stayed one night. this is my second visit and I upgraded to a large bedroom even though it was just me. it was worth it. nice bathroom with large bath and shower. plenty of hot water. staff are friendly. location is fab. it’s not perfect and the room needs a refurb but for the price it’s good value. breakfast lovely. for what I needed it was great and the location is fine. parking is only £4 for 24 hours so don’t let that put you off but you do need coins (no cards or notes taken)

the room needs a lock of paint! it’s clean and nice enough but could do with redecorating.

The room for a single person was great.Breakfast, good selection, big cups of tea, warm plates and best of all comphy bed.

As one who has travelled a bit and stayed in many places, these buildings are yery old, dating back hundreds of years. This is part of the charm of staying in these older hotels. When they were built and new they would have been magnificent. All these years later they are still a great place to stay. The lack of lifts, gives us oldies our daily exercise.Haha.

Breakfast was ok,my Wife asked if she could have a second egg but was told they would have to check, she didn't get an extra egg , quite poor really only minor but would it have been too much trouble. My breakfast was great shame we hadn't finished our fruit before the main breakfast was delivered, second time this has happened.

Not being able to get a second egg, receiving made part of breakfast before we had finished our fruit.

The bed was very comfortable. The room was a good size.

The breakfast wasn't amazing. It was small and the bacon was dry. There were also supposed to be potato rosties.
