ÂŁ for ÂŁ our stay, with our youngest son, his partner and our granddaughter, which included her 7th birthday, represented good value for money and we particularly appreciated the spacious, well presented and clean public areas and rooms, as well as the courtesy and help provided by the staff.

We booked a suite for our youngest son, his partner and our granddaughter in order to give them more room, but were surprised the Oxfordshire required ÂŁ40 per night for adding a bed for our granddaughter - bad enough had it been a proper bed, whereas it was a collapsible frame like camp bed - not good enough. Also, I answered 'yes' to your question regarding our request for a twin bedded room, but had also requested sheets and blankets, which were not provided - I find duvets far too hot and uncomfortable, making very bad nights.

Our stay was very nice. Staff were friendly throughout our stay. Our room was very nice. It was lovely to have a separate bath and shower. Room and on-suite bathroom was immaculate. The bed was very comfortable. Leisure facilities were nice. Breakfast was nice. Good choice of breakfast cereals, fruit juices, yoghurts etc. You are given a menu to choose from various options for a cooked breakfast which was nice. Breakfast came out pipping hot. All staff were lovely and welcoming.

Some of the tiling in the jacuzzi could do with being fixed and the glass roof being tided up with bits hanging from it.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful, in a lovely setting with some fantastic views.

The only issue when we stayed, was some noise from the room next door. It was completely unrelated to the hotel, but we had a lady praying at 06:30am, but almost as if she was shouting. Despite several noise complaints from other rooms and a member of the hotel team coming up to ask them to be quiet or to move to a room where she can pray away from others, the lady continued for a further 20 minutes. It disturbed our sleep on our final night. Again, this is not the hotels fault.

Fabulous location, staff in the dining room and room service, only young lads were really brilliant and reception đź‘Ź Room was a good size and really comfortable. Spa was a little bit dated, but everyone was very friendly and some good local knowledge was available. Improvements could be slightly better planning for breakfast as it was very busy. and maybe a better menu in the restaurant. But it otherwise loved it.

Menu was a bit niche in restaurant and expensive so had room service.ÂŁ5 tray charge on room service not really necessary, a little excessive. Spa slightly dated. Breakfast could be better organised as there was a queue for tables in the restaurant. However staff handle it really well.

The room was very good size and comfortable, housekeeping very good. The restaurant felt luxurious and fantastic food and menu. The bar area was welcoming and comfortable. The entrance impressive and reception staff very helpful. The spa treatment room was lovely and relaxing and the therapist very good with the treatment I had, very knowledgeable and friendly.

The poolside needs a lick of paint and general improvement here and there, missing tiles in the jacuzzi and the overall feel was dated. The changing rooms were basic but functional.

The location was great for Oxford and area, it is a beautiful location with good road access and amazing countryside. All staff were friendly and helpful, pool was a good addition in facilities, the breakfast was good quality and the room was comfortable. On another visit we may have accessed the golf course too. Hopefully next time we stay.

Disappointed that biscuits and coffee not replenished. Would have been nice to have a fridge too. Decided also to cancel dinner reservation as restaurant lacked atmosphere, (although the menu had appeared interesting and appealing). We also had issues with bedside lamp which was reported to housekeeping, in evening it appeared lights had just been swapped as other side didn't then work.

The setting of the hotel is beautiful and the rooms were a good size and clean with a huge bathroom. Beds were comfy and aircon was welcomed on such a hot day. I used the spa as well which had good facilities and the staff were all really friendly.

The lounge bar was the alternative option for dinner if you didn't have a restaurant reservation but the tables and chairs/sofas were not very easy to eat because the tables were very low so you ended up having to almost eat on your knee or lean over. Wasn't very practical. I also found the breakfast a bit basic for such a swanky hotel. I ordered granola with fresh fruit and yoghurt and was served a small bowl of dried granola with 4-5 pieces on fresh melon on top and was told to get a yoghurt carton off the buffet myself. Not a huge problem, but not the level of service you expect in this kind of hotel.

The room was excellent and just what I required. My wife has an incurable cancer and I wanted something special to cheer her up so the room was just what she needed. The breakfast was very good and the staff were very attentive.

The evening meal was very disappointing. The two young staff could have been a lot smarter as both their white shirts were very untidy especially when you compare them with the smart breakfast staff. The meal was only just okay nothing special but well over priced for what we had. For the quality of dinning we had expected there could have at least had table cloths on the table that what have improved the ambiance.

The hotel that didn’t serve food apart from breakfast and dinner?

We arrived and got a lovely room for my partners 50th birthday. The spa was lovely and had an outdoor area which considering it was a really hot day was definitely a bonus . However what we weren’t told was that the hotel had a function on and no chefs were able to serve any food for lunch before our round of golf- not even sandwiches! That’s very odd considering there were room menus saying they did.. that was disappointing and I have never been to a hotel where you can’t get at least something during the day. Considering this hotel is in the middle of nowhere I feel this was an inconvenience to our stay. Otherwise everything was good !

All rooms have a balcony and are comfortable and spacious. Great choice of where to eat, restaurant, lounge or room service. I always rate a hotel that gives you a biscuit in the room! Staff are all very friendly. This is our 2nd time staying here and would return, it's about 25 minute drive from bicester village. We like it has a swimming pool here.

If I was to be picky, having dressing gowns in the room rather then collect at spa, and a coffee machine wouldn't go a miss. A kettle and tea/coffee are provided so this isn't a huge negative.
