We stayed in room No 2, which is nicely decorated and large enough to spread out a bit especially if, as we were, you’re travelling with a dog and all their paraphernalia! (dog bed, bowls etc). Double bed is large and really comfortable; and the shower has to be one of the best I’ve experienced in years with regards to water pressure and temperature. Evening meal and breakfast were excellent and there are veggie options too. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly and we look forward to staying there again.

Breakfast was excellent - full English - and the served by very friendly staff who took trouble to engage with myself and my family. It was a very pleasant breakfat time.

The radiator in the bedroom had a defective radiator valve and it was impossible to turn the heat down. My worry was the extra fuel costs incurred by "The Swan" as well as our discomfort.

Staff were very welcoming , friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble . Room was attractive , with everything I needed for a 2 night stay. Bed was very comfortable. Large en-suite with a great shower. Although it is a pub , there was no noise from the locals downstairs. Good choice of breakfast , and the toast was some of the best I have tasted. Thank you .

The reception was positive, the rooms were well equipped, and the location was scenic. The food available in the bar was generous, huge pizzas !!!

The property is looking a little tired with temporary cables being used to operate something in the hotel, via near the guest entrance?

We stayed at The Swan for 2 nights to attend a wedding reception in Princess Risborough. Hosts Mick & Helen, Head Chef Eleanor and Head Waitress (and more), Cynthia, were fantastic. All were very friendly, chatty and welcoming. The food was delicious (including a very hearty breakfast). We can highly recommend the food but in particular the garlic bread with cheese and a red onion chutney starter was lush and even had a vegan cheese option for our friends who stayed on the Saturday night. Our room was spacious and comfortable, especially the bed, which is the most important thing for us when travelling. Plenty of tea, coffee and nice complimentary bathroom items plus it was very helpful to be abe to use the iron! There is also a very nice beer garden to sit and enjoy a cold ale. The hosts were very flexible with the check out time because our train from Princess Risborough did not leave until 11.30am. We will certainly stay here again if we visit the area in the future.

To be honest, for us, there were no negatives. The en suite shower room may require some tlc in the future. The internal fan was not working but that is being addressed.

Food was exceptional, good quality and value for money. Equally catered for our kids. Portions were more than sufficient. Had highchair. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was so nice to get freshly cooked full english (not a warmed up version) Room was very clean and was good quality water, biscuits etc in the room.

Car park is a little cosy,

Lovely place, super friendly people, great pub downstairs and a lovely breakfast! Decor in the room was superb, walks straight from the door, saw a whole load of red kites, and a Hare! Very dog friendly too! Tea and coffee were good quality in the room!

Location suited us for the Ridgeway. In provided a decent choice of menu and staff super friendly. Great breakfast.

Hot room with little air coming in, maybe a fan might have helped. Slight background noise from Pub and fan below.

We were made extremely welcome on arrival by Mike. The room was spacious and well equipped with tea/coffee/hot chocolate, bottled water and biscuits, together with a nice vanity pack. We were given an outdoor key so we were able to let ourselves in when we returned to the building after the event we attended in the evening. We were met with a friendly greeting; a lovely breakfast efficiently served and quality latte and expresso coffees. I cannot fault the care and trouble they took to make us feel looked after.

The Building is typical old inn, so the window was a bit difficult to open for the warm day, but it didn't really bother us. The food was good, and the choice was better than expected. We enjoyed a good English breakfast! The hotel staff was very friendly and kind.

The bath room was very small.
