The hotel was in a good location, friendly staff and helpful. The room was lovely, a good size, lovely and clean with an en-suite. It also had the option of food at an additional cost.

The only thing we didn’t like was parking, there is a small car park at the rear of the hotel, however because it is also a pub and restaurant it is hard to park. We managed to get the last parking space on the first night, but on the second night there was no spaces.

This is a pub and hotel. The breakfast was excellent and well served. It is on the High Street and therefore full of interest around. It was a short walk to the lake. The bedroom and en-suite reflect history not mod-cons! Happily so.

A creaky floorboard added interest.

The staff were all very helpful certainly with my mobility issues, going to the shops and carrying my bags up and down the stairs and certainly when I fell twice the concern and the care was overwhelming.Thanks to all

Room and bathroom were verv clean and comfortable with all I needed.

It was a huge and splendid building, which seemed a bit dilapidated. I occupied a small room at the top and wondered if I was the only one staying. A great view over slate roofs to the hills.

Staff were excellent with advice. Extremely friendly, helpful & great to talk to. Room was very basic, however we went with price & we didn't spend alot of time on there.

Parking was a bit tight.

Friendly staffs. Breakfast was completely worth the price. Great pubs in 100ft distance.

It’s an okay hotel enough for couple of nights stay. I didn’t get private parking space, instead I had to park on main road (free parking from 6pm - 9am).

Comfy little room with beautiful views of some hills. Breakfast was really good (best fried egg I've had in ages) and the friendly chef chatted to me about some mountains I was planning to visit that day. Thanks for the route recommendation - worked perfectly. The staff were very accommodating in general and Bala is a little gem of a village.

Shower water pressure wasn't great, but it was at least nice and hot.

The staff were all really friendly and very accomadating. I had an issue with my room being chilly on the first night but the staff immediatly found me a heater and an extra duvet! I was really pleased with the service.

The matress in my room could do with being replaced, but was still perfectly adequate for the price I paid to stay.

Staff are so lovely and such a lovely vibe there .. have stayed many times .. totally recommend a stay there .

We do prefer the front bedrooms as you can see the Main Street and enjoy watching the bala vibe which I miss when in the back bedrooms but if you want total quiet then back bedrooms tick that box. Staff are lovely and the food is great .. you need to book in advance as the rooms get snapped up as such a popular destination. I have noticed price increases on rooms but I guessing that from the crazy covid world as so many people need to get away and have a break through summer . Looking forward to my return visit 👍

Great location on high Street with lots of shops, restaurants & take away food places. Lively environment, busy little pub but very close to the countryside. Reasonably nice room, no frills but clean & comfortable.
