The breakfast was as expected but we preferred to have a cooked breakfast nearby and keep the supplied pack for later in the day. All the food that Richard supplied to us was first rate and there was plenty of it. The town itself did not have any what I would call good places to eat in the evening. We had to do with fast food places as that is all there was in town. The car park was very secure for our vehicles and is hidden behind the B&B. Richard is a very helpful host with lots of local information and advice. A very comfortable and welcoming place to stay.

As it was quite hot when we stayed the road noise was quite loud with the windows open. Quiet with the windows closed. Some of the décor is a little dated but all in all the facilities were quite good.

The location was spot on and in the centre of pretty much what we had planned for over the weekend with the scenery around it being spectacular with the mountain back drops and being on the door step of the local zip world quarry. It was also a bonus to see the steam train pass through the local train station that the guesthouse sits along. The breakfast bags also had a nice range of food to keep you going on those longer walks. Will definitely visit again if we're in the area as was a very good stay and had the facilities that we'd required.

Not much to be honest apart from the bathroom and beds being a little small for the taller people of 6ft or more.

Isallt guesthouse owner was very helpful and friendly the breakfast bag in the morning was very nice are room was very clean and tidy the bed was very comfortable we had plenty of tea and coffee which ever day was refilled up plus we had bottles of water everday left in are room plus we could use the breakfast room if we had a takeaway and help are self to tea and coffee or water in the room and use the microwave the little town had plenty of takeaways and just opposite the guesthouse they is a morrisons which is very handy if you need anything plus if you go after 7pm morrisons reduce the hot food which was very handy for a cheeky snack people very friendly and helpful to fine places to vist i highly recommended staying at the guesthouse

the only thing is to have a little shelve in the bathroom just to put toiletries on thats it

Ideal location for us to explore. The guesthouse was clean and comfortable, we were on the top floor so had a lovely view of the village. We'll equipped with fridge etc, and could get cutlery/plates from downstairs. We didnt need them but hot water bottles are supplied for colder months and plenty of heat making it very cosy.

The breakfast bags didn't suit us but we didn't mind that as a coffee shop and convenience store right across the road and we did have a few of the items. We would suggest a toaster in the dining room downstairs, understandably not in the bedrooms for health and safety. we could have made toast in the mornings.

A very central guest house, very near the train station for lots of beautiful places to visit. We had the attic en suite double room with plenty of tea/coffee/water/tv provided even hot water bottles for that cosy feel Richard and his wife were very welcoming and extremely knowledgable about walks and amenities in the area. Great info about the Guest House too and the Dr who owned it. They also provided a lovely continental breakfast.(or lunch if desired) Outside at the rear of the property was a lovely patio area with flowers, benches and brollies to soak up the sun and take in the stunning mountain views.

As we had a late booking the only room available was the attic, and so we didn't have a view but two velux windows we could open and hear the birds singing in the morning The bathroom could do with a revamp..but on the whole really good value for money

Just returned from a great stay at Isaalt. The guest house is perfect for a break and not far from Snowdon. Our room was big and comfortable. We had tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, towels. There is an iron you can use. We were greeted by Richard who was very helpful on advising which places to visit and where to park. There is a dining room with plates and cutlery you can use if you order a takeaway. There is a terrace out the back with tables and benches you can use. Breakfast was good, made up in a takeaway bag early in the morning. We also ordered a picnic lunch that was ready for us to take in the morning which was also nice. There is a couple of little supermarkets, cafes, pubs and food places all in a few minutes walk. Richard was very friendly and helpful. We will return and definitely recommend.

Richard is the most welcoming and friendly host ever! Breakfast bag was good and adequate for the day. The room was very clean and comfortable although the shower cubicle could do with an upgrade-shower itself was great and good size fluffy towels. Loved the use of the dining area in the evening to sit down and eat a takeaway - great idea.

Couple of upgrade issues re the decor and the shower cubicle in our room but that's being picky - very good accommodation for a short break PS be aware the family room is up 2 flights of stairs just in case people don't do stairs!!

The host was extremely friendly, welcoming, helpful and informative with a good local knowledge. We were provided with vegan and gluten free breakfast bags which we really appreciated. We stayed in room 1 with the king bed and it had the most amazing view of the mountains and just a stones throw away from the Blaenau Ffestiniog steam railway. The bed was very clean and so comfortable! The storage and furniture in the room were excellent too.

The only things to mention are that the water pressure in the shower was very low and we felt it could be a bit cleaner and the blind in the bathroom could be updated. Everything else was absolutely clean and perfect.

Firstly this is a guest house, not really a hotel, Richard welcomed us personally, there was no breakfast available as such, our host leaves out a breakfast bag in the dining room, we took ours out for the day, we could eat in in the dining room if we liked , there is a kettle ,microwave and plates etc in the dining room,- a little like a YHA property. This guest house is perfect if you are visiting the steam railway, you couldn’t be closer to the station….

Wasn’t too sure about the on site coffee shop, we did see Richard baking in his kitchen, whether he bakes for someone else…

Lovely welcome when we arrived. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble to request. Everything we needed was available, if not in the room, in the dining room. Plenty of tea, coffee and milks provided. Location for zip world etc was perfect. Free parking was fantastic. Morrisons just opposite the guest house. Ideal location. Will definitely return.

Our room, room 2, was the last available but would have chosen a bigger room if available. I saw another room briefly and it was much nicer decor etc. Our stay was lovely but if i could change anything about our room it would be just to update a bit. A wall of modern paper, curtains to match the furniture colour and maybe some pictures on the wall... Oh and a mini fridge in the room... then i would have given 10/10.... But we will try other rooms next time. We will return here.
