Ideally situated in the middle of town adjacent to car park & conveniently close to railway station. Staff extremely friendly & welcoming. Everyone we met went the extra mile to make our stay perfect. Comfortable stylish boutique-style bedroom with up-market accessories. Breakfast choices were extraordinarily good & cooked to perfection. Very dog friendly property with separate dog-free dining area too.

I loved everything about this property. Even though it was stairs to get to the accommodation, who cares when the place is such a treat. What a sweet little bit of luxury for my family of four. Both beds were super comfortable, despite one being a pull out it was so comfy. Little touches and chic furniture made all the difference.

We couldn’t think of anything we didn’t like, except for only staying one night as a stop over on our journey.

The location was fantastic, the rooms were good sized and very clean. We had the family room and a double room; both were comfortable and very tastefully decorated. The staff were helpful and friendly, and it was a bonus to be right above a great restaurant! I would definitely recommend a stay here, and a meal!

The only thing was the temperature of the rooms, even with windows open it got warm at night.

Room was beautifully decorated and lovely and clean. Coffee in room was excellent. Tea offering great. Generous continental breakfast. Central location.

Tea in room needed labelling. There was a number of choices but no labels. Breakfast on second day a bit slow. There's one opportunity for housekeeping which we missed because we had a lie in. But that was more our choice.

Breakfast and location were both excellent. Particularly appreciated the cleanliness and the friendliness and flexibility of housekeeping as we were in and out of the rooms.

Minor points - probably need a net curtain or similar at the window of room 1, and would be helpful to have two keys available for double/twin room. Otherwise really excellent.

We had a great stay and a fantastic meal. All the staff were really friendly, the food was amazing, the room was small but very comfortable and the location is just terrific. Very highly recommended and we will definitely stay again.

The decor is absolutely incredible. So many fine details and can see no expense spares. A very comfortable stay . It has an incredible restaurant attached. A hidden gem. Food was exceptional too and also for breakfast. Can tell it’s good quality ingredients with a very talented chef.

Very nice room, well fitted out and decorated with an eye for detail and quality. Plus good tea and coffee, and the included continental breakfast was delicious and all we needed. Good base to see the Mackintosh Hill House.

Um, room not huge. But it was certainly enough.

The rooms were beautiful and spotless and the owner kindly let us leave our bags before checkin time we had a lovely stay

The breakfast was included in the price in the restaurant but everything was burnt so wasn’t happy with that but the restaurant and staff are wonderful

Lovely modern facilities, beautiful spacious room. Very clean. Very friendly staff. Great breakfast too. Nice bar and restaurant underneath rooms where had glass of wine and able to buy bottle for later from the wine store. Would highly recommend
