The staff have been excellent throughout our dealings with them over the last thee months. We were getting married nearby and left things rather late, we dropped by the hotel after viewing and booking the venue, it had a nice feel about it and so we booked all available rooms. We siad that we might need more if they became available and as these cam up we snapped them up. I had not seen out room until the day of the wedding and was pleasantly surprised by nice this was. We swapped and changed guests along the way and even in the day with drops outs we repositioned guests. Florence on reception was great. When we got back from the wedding after midnight, the night porter/barman Owen was very relaxed and kept the bar going as long as we were able to stand. Great show. Breakfast was great too, surprisingly myself and my wife still made it.
Not sure anything could have been

Really good food, staff very good especially Adrienne and Keiran despite them all being new. Lovely walks around the area. Wine bar very nice.
The upgraded room did not have the bathrobe and slippers, magazines, balcony or inglenook fireplace, docking station. There was also no phone in the room despite being given information to dial reception. When we raised this at Reception we were told that Booking.com had not updated the room information as the hotel had recently changed ownership.

I was delighted by everything about my stay in the Wroxton House Hotel. The little village was delightful, pretty thatched cottages lining the street. The hotel car park was spacious, and the building from outside was charming. This charm continued inside where the Olde-Worlde feel was not spoilt by old-fashioned grime; everything in public rooms and bedroom and bathroom was sparkling clean. My bedroom was bright and very well furnished, with an extremely comfortable bed with quality linen, an armchair, a desk with desk lamp and nearby sockets for using the laptop and charging other devices. There was an excellent choice of coffees, teas and hot drinks in the room, with good biscuits. The wardrobe hid an iron and ironing board as well as an electric fan. There was also an electric heater to plug in if the room temperature was insufficient. It was fine. The bathroom was spacious and clinically clean, with quality toiletries and luxury towels, large and fluffy. The food in the hotel restaurant was outstanding. It is worth going there just to eat. Excellent choice, beautifully presented, served by friendly yet professional staff, and quite delicious. And above all the staff were kind and helpful, all of them. Especial mention to be made of Kaylie, who saw me in the car park juggling my bags before her shift began, and came over to help me, check me in and take me , and my bags, up to my room. But she was just one of many very pleasant staff there. As you can tell, I liked my stay here!

Apart from the beautiful location and the choice and quality of food the service was beyond (in my opinion ) anyone’s expectations. if they new the issue all would agree. I had encountered a serious issue and Tina and her sons went to extra ordinary ways of offering support and comfort at a time when I was in most need. Moreover the local recommended Indian restaurant offered a lift back to the hotel when this was needed and would not accept payment. How many times can we truly say people have gone beyond what could ever be expected from them. I cannot say how grateful I am to Tina and family only that I have every intention of having a really great break here for more than a few days in the future. Doctor Heidi coghlan

Location, food is amazing, bar area and restaurant lovely. Lovely young man on the bar in the afternoon, nice chat helpful. Shame he wasn't in the restaurant in the evening!
Bathroom in room 3 shabby, pillows on bed like heavy sacks, very uncomfortable. Waiting on staff in the restaurants were unorganised, no flow, no finesse, just terrible. Waited fifteen minutes for drinks order and when asked a passing waitress she said the bars there you can get your own!! I did. I'm not precious but really?? Waited another fifteen minutes for another waitress, who didn't know what the soup was., She disappeared again. Saving grace was the food when it arrived, shame for the fantastic chef to have these serving staff. Mentioned at reception on checkout who apologised and said they were training them. This same response two months ago when had the similar problems with serving staff when I stayed. Didn't put me off but doubtful will go again for a hat trick!

The staff were extremely friendly on arrival and even when we felt like a snack after getting in from a wedding! The room was beautiful and our daughter fell in love with her bed and wanted to bring it home - it was a huge room and huge beds! Didn't want to get up either, the beds were so comfy. Food was excellent and location was perfect for us, so we'll be coming again!
We didn't know there was an additional cost for a cooked breakfast. The free breakfast is continental only

Very nice. clean room although no air conditioning - warm weather made room rather warm. Comfortable beds and good sized bathroom. Cooked breakfast (additional £7 per person) was very good. Dinner was good but portion size not particularly large for the price. Comfortable outside seating area. Charming reception staff.
Lack of air-con in the rooms. Coffee machine in one of our (2) rooms but not the other. Meal and bar prices a little high.

Comfortable room and bed. Dinner has changed from restaurant-style food since our previous stays before COVID and is now pub-style food. The choice is short and simple and the quality was good value. I would have preferred some more restaurant-style choices in addition.
The outside of the building is looking tired with peeling paint and rotting window frames on the left side of the building which greet you as you arrive, but in favour of the hotel they have now got the clock on the clocktower working. There is also work afoot on replacing the roofs. The young restaurant staff were extremely friendly but are in need of staff training. There was a lack of attention to detail in many areas that normally a diner takes for granted e.g. here are just 2 examples - no teaspoons or sugar provided with coffee each evening, the bottle of wine we ordered was not shown to us but brought to the table having been opened at the bar and to compound matters it was not the wine we had ordered but something completely different.

I liked the very old nature of the hotel - not good for people with mobility issues as there are so many steps up down and around. My room was a long attic with bathroom at one end, central dressing area and bed at the far end. The bed was very comfortable and the food very good.
Even with high fuel prices the rom was so hot I opened the window to let in cold air in the middle of the night. I have poor vision and some areas of the dining area proved too dimly lit for me to read comfortably.

All the staff members were very friendly and polite. The first mornings breakfast, a Friday, was very good, everything was well cooked and there were fresh fruit. We enjoyed one evening in the new wine and was looked after very well by Adriana.
Saturday and Sunday breakfasts were not as well cooked and no fresh fruit Saturday, no bacon and no gluten free bread Sunday. There was a large function on Saturday and the disco music continued until 12.00 midnight. We could not sleep until after that and this night was the most expensive. We had not been warned of this.
