The Pear Tree doesn't serve food but this is mentioned on the confirmation email and you can get a lovely breakfast and/or lunch at the Malthouse Kitchen which is just a couple of minutes walk away so wasn't a problem for us. We booked two rooms and both rooms were lovely, spotlessly clean and had comfortable beds. There were also additional, thoughtful touches in the rooms to help make the stay more pleasant, including nice toiletries, mineral water in glass bottles, a complimentary bottle of Hook Norton Ale plus matching bottle opener and even a lovely little real Peace Lily plant on the coffee table. Every member of staff we met was polite, friendly and helpful but special mention must be made of Manager, Bethan and Housekeeper, Dawn, nothing was too much trouble for them and they really made our stay both enjoyable and memorable. We would certainly recommend The Pear Tree and would definitely stay there again.

It was extremely clean. Loved the historic original beams and general cotswold vibe of the place. The surrounding area was just scenic and lovely. The hygiene/shower supplies were on top form. The staff were extremely welcoming and lovely.

It was very noisy, being an Inn with rooms directly above meant for quite some noise until half 11 each night. There also was no dedicated parking for paying guests, I had to wrap up work early to secure a spot on the off road parking before other inn guests arrived. An ideal stay for holiday goers, not an ideal stay for business trips.

Situated in a stunning village in the Cotswolds. Floral gardens, stone houses with thatched rooves and so quiet with so much nature in and around the village. WOW i loved it soo relaxing. The Inn is a beautiful old building very clean and comfortable with a lovely friendly atmosphere. Modern conveniences available and plenty of tea and coffee and a complimentary bottle of local brewery Hooky Ale I taught was a nice touch. I enjoyed the Ale too. Wished i could stay longer.

The electric shower wasn't very easy to use they rarely are, I know, but freezing or too hot and not alot of water pressure.

The rooms are above the pub, handy for a late night drink. Good selection of local beers. The rooms were spacious and the main bed was king size. There were 2 separate rooms. Our teenagers slept in the smaller room, one of the beds is a fold out double bed, the other is a single, fine for 1 night. Everything was clean. We didn't speak to the staff a lot, but they were friendly. There was free parking onsite.

There is no mirror in the main bedroom. You have to walk through the main bedroom to get to the bathroom and you have to walk through the smaller room to leave. The mattress of the double bed was a bit too soft for me. There was no milk to make coffee in the morning, even though there were coffee making facilities. The pub doesn't serve food or breakfast.

Enjoyed our whole stay 2 nights in this charming Inn. We had a lovely room. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Breakfast can be had at the Malthouse Kitchen a short walk from the Inn, next to the Hook Norton Brewery. We spent a pleasant evening chatting to the Inn's regulars. Parking was good, right next to the Inn.

Directions given by Booking.com using the link on the site to Google maps sent us to the top of a hill some distance from the Pear Tree. But when I entered the address on Google maps, it took me right to the door.

Location was perfect for Wedding at the brewery. The room was large, clean and very comfortable with everything you could wish for. Nice touch with bottles of water a beer. Nice friendly staff, especially house keeper on the following morning.

Nothing really except the wife didn't particularly like walking through a busy pub bar (didn't bother me at all)

We felt so welcome and at home - fell in love with it over the few nights we stayed. absolutely picturesque setting, gorgeous staff and management, great beer - the brewery just an amble away down the prettiest lane you’ve seen. Cuddled up to a Clydesdale, explored the Cottswolds, coming home to a cold beer and friendly faces.

Has a narrow staircase up to rooms so not ideal for those less mobile.

We booked two rooms. Outstanding cleanliness, linens and towels new and fresh. New carpets too. Lovely newly painted decor. Bathrooms were new too.

We didn’t dislike anything. However a mirror near a plug for hair drying, a box of tissues and hooks in the bathroom for towels, would have been appreciated. Very steep stairs up to the rooms, it was fine for us, but not suitable for some people.

Loved the location, pub had loads of character! staff great, room super. Will definitely be booking again.

No food but not a massive problem as the brewery have a lovely restaurant which is great for breakfast and a short walk! We ate at another local pub 5 mins walk away at night.

Great family room for me and a friend plus our dogs. Super beds and friendly staff. Locals really helpful too.

Perhaps some hooks or towel ring in the bathroom and a little table in the main bedroom might be helpful if you’re staying more than one night but those are small issues.
