Location, food was lovely at both lunch and dinner. Bed was super comfy. Cheap also.

Bathroom was full of mould and could have done with a refurb as wasn't pleasant to use. Couldn't use bath as plug broken. Staff could have smiled as all looked grumpy. Breakfast choice limited as didn't have a few ingredients. Was promptly put away at 10am which is way too early on a weekend. Also had to vacate room by 10am which meant having to pack up car before going to breakfast. Should be later at the weekend like most other establishments.

We were given a suite - this consisted of a couple of chairs and tea and coffee facilities and a bathroom downstairs and the bedroom upstairs. Bed was very comfortable and the sound-proofing was excellent as couldn’t hear much at all from adjacent rooms. Food in pub/restaurant was very good, but service was a little slow despite not being overly busy. Plenty of parking. Breakfast was excellent, although didn’t have much fresh fruit. Plenty of tea and coffee

Room was very hot when we arrived, turned off radiator in bedroom and opened window and it was fine. TV was in an awkward position, wardrobe restricted the view on one side of the bed. Bathroom needs refurbishing, very tired and as such didn’t look that clean. A few hairs in the bath too. Despite being hot upstairs, the bathroom was very cold. Managed to find a switch for the towel rail and it got a bit warmer. The cushions had a couple of suspicious looking stains!

Just had a Sat night stayover. Great room with a four poster bed! Lots of space. We had dinner and breakfast, both were great quality. The restaurant area is lovely and there is a snug area in the bar with a real fire. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Lots of car parking.

The bedroom had an old sash window that didn't really shut 100%. The room was also next to the road so we did hear some traffic and a couple of late night drunks singing as they went past! It's a small town though and the pub is on a sharp bend so most people would sleep through it. The restaurant is a bit pricey but the food is worth it.

The staff the hotel, location ... and the Food...best sandwich I'd had in a long time....and dinner was really good... everywhere was clean . The staff were really lovely

The bedroom was very basic and tired ...and I found depressing, dark brown and cream with no bright touches..but thats just my opinion..and there was no where comfy to sit by bar just to chill have a drink and read....but plenty of seats and tables

Great staff and lovely food. We ate on both nights and we really enjoyed our food and the overall experience. It's a good traditional pub atmosphere and the friendly staff really made our stay a pleasure. I would recommend to others and I would stay there again.

The room was a little tired but that wasn't much of an issue for me and I slept well. The car park was full but I just left my car across the road, which wasn't a problem.

Nice clean room in the main building Staff where very freindly and helpful . My freinds were well accommodated in the attached motel

Unfortunately a large party at dinner, having patiently waited we were disappointed with the food. Unfortunate choice i wouldn't recommend the DB burger, pizza was good , my freind though the Cod wasn't freshly cooked Choice of beer limited to lighter ales .

The staff were wonderful and the restaurant was very good. Our room was very spacious. We asked reception for an iron and ironing board and they arrived within 5 minutes.

Our room number 27 was adjacent to a road which was a bit noisy at 5 am in the morning. The lower bases of the bedside cabinets were very dusty. The bathroom was a letdown; it needed modernizing. The shower could only be used by hand; the sink water slowly drained despite the plug being firmly pushed down and the WC bowl would worryingly fill near to the brim when used.

Excellent choice of continental and cooked. Cooked breakfast was very well cooked. Very attentive staff.

I have an issue in general with service charges especially on draught beer, adding 12.5% to a £6 pint is a little bit cheeky to be honest especially when eating in the bar.. I know you can refuse but it creates an awkward situation. I consider myself a good tipper and prefer a discreet tip to the server directly.

Lovely big room ,very quiet good restaurant and excellent value. Was lucky to catch an excellent Farmers market on Saturday and a photography exhibition. The breakfast was particularly good made with top quality produce. Was also pleasantly surprised by a huge and very co fortable four poster bed.

Lovely old pub with barn conversion extensions, very nicely done. Bathroom had heated floors, which is a sweet novelty. Food, evening and breakfast, both very good.

Tiny quibbles, that probably wouldn't bother anyone. My room had the car park lights outside it, so they streamed through the curtains till after I was asleep. Also the bedside lamp was one of those ones that turn on when you just touch them. So you can accidentally turn them on when you're reaching for something by the bedside. I personally loathe them, but I understand some people think this is preferable to a light with a proper switch you can control in the dark (so as, for example, not to wake your partner up in the middle of the night, something the end of which you will never hear.)
