Interior of the hotel was really nice with original features. I was expecting a place to be on the shabby chic side with less of the chic it wasn't. The property is clearly very well looked after & spotlessly clean. I was up in the attic, which didn't bother me at all & to be fair, I was advised before arrival about how many steps it was up to the room, which I think will be appreciated by others less mobile.

Parking was limited to but I am fussy when it comes to things like that. I managed to park pretty much right outside the hotel in a residential area so no real worries but if there isn't room in the car park provided, you may need to park a little further away. No big deal but worth a mention.

Breakfasts were excellent. Staff were lovely and always very polite and helpful and put themselves out for our requests.

Parking was very limited but sufficient for our needs on this occasion. Although we felt we could not use the car as we may not have been able to have the space on our return. I have difficulty walking any distance and needed to go to the hairdressers, the florists and for a meal. Would have liked blinds as well as curtains in our room as it was in full view from the street and the curtains were very difficult to open and close

Check-in was very quick, we were able to access our room before the regular time. We were allocated room 4 on the first floor which overlooked the garden at the rear of the property, although this is not what we originally booked, the room was lovely and spacious. We were offered a room change but decided to stay put. Room was very quiet and comfortable and more than met our expectations. It had 2 arm chairs, large kingsize bed, wardrobe and TV. Ensuite shower room. Beautiful bay sash window. Breakfast is lovely, cooked fresh each morning. We opted for the full English which consisted of sausage, bacon, mushrooms, black pudding, tomato and your choice of eggs - we opted for poached which were lovely. Optional extras (at no additional cost) were beans, hashbrowns and fried bread plus your choice of toast. There was orange and apple juice available plus a varied selection of breakfast cereals, fruit and yoghurts. Easter Sunday we even had a mini Lindt chocolate bunnie waiting for us in the breakfast room. Location was good for us, just a short walk into the town centre. There is a garage opposite which has a shop that is open 24hrs. We used the hotel as a base to explore North Devon and parts of Cornwall. We visited Ilfracombe, Tentagel Castle and Bude. Weather was lovely for our Easter Break stay. We stayed Saturday 8th to Monday 10th April (Easter) If we decide to visit this part of the world again we would definitely stay at the Yeo Dale Hotel, the owners are lovely.

Paul, was extremely polite and we where greeted with a room upgrade on arrival. The hotel was clean and the room was spacious and amazing, exceeding our expectations. Breakfast was outstanding. 2 min walk and we where in town and a five minute walk to the venue we where attending (no need for taxis) free street parking and I also believe they also have a car park, which we didn’t require. 100% recommend the Yeo Dale Hotel couldn’t of asked for anymore during our stay and will stay there again next time I visit Barnstaple. Thank you Paul for a super fuss free weekend.

Nothing, it was perfect for our needs

Perfectly located for the SW Coast Path Walk. Our room was fabulously comfortable. All the usual teas, coffees, tv, etc - but the bed was outstanding...sooo comfortable! The shower was lovely and hot and shampoos, etc were available. The hosts were lovely and the breakfast was wonderful. The hotel itself is right on the corner of a busy junction and it takes you a minute walk to the centre of the town. Highly recommend visiting the Gurkha curry house if you're visiting barnstaple.

Excellent breakfast. Freshly cooked to order. Lots of choice. Staff very welcoming My stay was with my son. It was his birthday the morning we left. I had taken a cake and the owner of the hotel offered me candles and very kindly took some photos. Very nice personal touch

Nothing. Minimal parking but nothing can be done about this and the information on the website did inform me of this when I booked. That said I managed to park fine on my visit

This is not a five star hotel but it is very clean, welcoming and very handy for its location. The owner and staff were very helpful and polite. The breakfast was spot on. I call into Barnstaple every year for a five day rest and reminder of how great the town is, i was stationed here in the RAF back in the 70s so it has been great to find a good place to rest myself after a long day exploring the town and surrounding area. This was my first time staying here but ill be back every year for as long as i can last out. Many thanks to all who made my stay feel five star.

Theres no lift so if you have ailments please let the hotel know in advance and they will arrange a room you can reach without to much discomfort.

Very comfortable, spacious room. Nice bathroom - great shower. Superb breakfast - local produce. Very pleasant, helpful owner. In a lovely location on North side of Barnstaple but within easy walking distance of town centre. Map and helpful list of restaurants given to us on arrival.

Not a major problem but there are only 2 parking spaces which are not obvious (on the other side of the road). It is near a fairly busy junction but we were in a room at the back so it was nice and quiet.

The Hotel is more like a B&B, I had a nice welcome and was pleased with the size of the room. It was by the main road so traffic noise was an issue but the bedding was really cozy, the room temperature was good, good firm pillows, lots of milk for tea/coffee, breakfast was very nice and staff were great

The nearby parking did not have many spaces, could be an issue during warmer Months, no other issues, road noise can't be avoided so if you don't like it ask for a room away from the road

This is a really comfortable, cosy hotel, with an excellent location – close to the town centre, but with green views over the park. The building has lots of personality, and feels somewhere between a home and a hotel. The bed was very comfortable, wifi was fast and reliable, the staff were friendly, and the inclusion of a full cooked breakfast was excellent. Strongly recommended!

No criticisms - I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
