The room was very comfortable, although the air conditioning unit broke twice we were moved to another room to accommodate this, that was greatly appreciated. The gym facilities were also very good, had enough weights for us to train, all that was just missing was a steam room lol Availability of the breakfast was good and the coffee was nice

The breakfast menu could do with an update, we wanted an omelette and there were no vegetables or any greens available, me and my husband eat healthy and there was not much on then menu to choose from, lots of carbohydrates pastries, cereals full of sugar etc. Maybe some blue berries, strawberries and raspberries for breakfast to add to the porridge I understand that you can't facilitate for everyone.

The bedroom was large, bright and very clean. The bathroom was well equipped with plenty of clean towels. We had an issue with hot water on our last day but the hotel were aware and were dealing with it. The breakfast was excellent but what made it for us was how friendly all the staff were. A special mention to the lady on reception who could not do more to help. We will definitely stay again.

Possibly the limited choice of menu in the restaurant in the evening . We ate in two nights and whilst the food was very good we were limited and would certainly have eaten out had we stayed another night.

Welcoming check-in experience. Wow factor entrance! Super-smooth and efficient lifts to floors. A luxuriousy large room. Great comfy bed. Incredibly clean. Lovely shower. Warming bath tub. We had a double-aspect room, so it felt light and breezy. We arrived on a sweltering day, but the air-con cooled the room in no time! Very quiet neighbourhood, withour traffic or aircraft noise... so two good night's sleeps were delivered! Didn't try the restaurant, but it looked swanky!

Only one complaint: they didn't supply tea or tea-bags in our room, just sachets of granulated coffee. Perhaps just an oversight! Anyway, we bought some tea-bags from Morrisons (next door) and we 'looked after ourselves'.

The hotel was beautiful, luxurious and spotlessly clean. Staff were very friendly and welcoming (not like other 4 and 5* hotels we've stayed in previously). The rooms are large and very clean and have all the amenities from tea and coffee making facilities to mini fridge. The only negative I have about this hotel is that the bed even though a super king size was not very comfortable. However this is my opinion only as my husband found the bed extremely comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was delicious, self service with a mixture of continental and hot food. The location is within walking distance to shops and bars and had parking on site (small charge). Overall we found this to be an excellent hotel and would definitely recommend to anyone taking a trip to Edgbaston Birmingham.

As I said previously I did not find the bed very comfortable but that is my opinion as my husband found it to be very comfortable. Apart from this I could not find any other negatives about this hotel

Breakfast was great. The wait staff even offer us cook to order items on the 3rd morning. The plates were pre-heated. Good touch! Place is clean. Staff were very accommodating. They came up with a shard container when we requested one.

I wish there is an office where we can have access to PC or keyboard. The room is big enough for 3 people however There is not much space for storage or hangers.

Friendly front desk. Really stepped up for my husband’s 50th with a cake in the room and drink vouchers. Breakfast was lovely. Enjoyed the ambience in the bar and two staff on duty in the evening, Abdul and Alex were exceptional.

Room was nice but was a bit tired. Better use of space recommended. Only had one toilet roll so had to ask reception for another. Felt the restaurant was very compact/small when it came to breakfast.

Very friendly and accommodating and helpful staff at the reception specially Mr Khalil-ur Rahman’s service and arrangement of early check in for 2 rooms was greatly appreciated.

One Double room was different from the other ones although we booked same type of rooms for all. The double bed and size of room was smaller for done reason. We were told it was only due to arrangement and location of rooms.

Everything; beautiful Victorian style on modern amenities. Great gym, great breakfast. Large bathroom and large room. Very confortable and quiet sleep. Friendly staff. I know it’s a 4* but It has a lot of 5* features.

The car park entrance is a bit hidden. Directions aren’t clear on the satnav. Make clear directions please.

the room on the 2nd day was not serviced, which is apparantly their current policy. We were unaware of this until asking the question upon checking out.

Not enough plugs in the room. Breakfast - fruits were very tasteless No fan in the bathroom or air freshener for the room if staying for multiple days
