Room was nice. One of the lights beside the bed did not stay on independently of the other. It wasn’t a big issue and I didn’t report it - I’m sure if I did it would have been fixed. Food as always was very good and plentiful. Entertainment was also good although on one night there was no compare, however 3 acts were on to make up for this. They were all very good. Another night the comedian, Carl stood in for Buddy Lee. I have previously said that I am not keen on his act, I am no prude but although he can be funny occasionally his act depends far too much on explicit sexual innuendo. The other comedian who was on earlier in the week was excellent. We liked all the singers, there was a good variety.

There was a place to charge my mobility scooter an I could leave it over night. The breakfast was great. It was hot and regularly topped up with fresh produce. The room was spacious and the view was exceptional ( 3rd Floor sea view ). Windows were clean. Plenty of milk and tea in the room and no problem when I asked for more milk. Service was good in the dining room. Empty plates were taken away very quickly. Comedian and singer were very good in the concert room. Residents could book a table.

Nowhere to put toiletries in the bathroom. There was no shelf in the shower or in the bathroom. There was no socket beside the bed to plug in my CPAC machine. I had to use an extension cable from the kettle socket. The tables were squashed together in the dining room. Not much room to get to buffet and back to table carrying food. No ramp to get into the hotel. Mobility scooter had to be carried up and down 2 steps.

Almost everything, loved the fact that it’s an adult only hotel, was very relaxing during the day and especially at meal times. Love the location and we got a great parking spot on the premises. Our room was a sea view on the 2nd floor (room 238 I think) and recently renovated so was spotless, if the roof could be strengthened it could be made into a little terraced seating area just for the rooms along there - it would be fabulous. Entertainment was the best but please improve the seating, had a numb bum after a while 🫣 haha. Staff are terrific, throughout the hotel each and everyone made us feel totally welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We had a great stay from start to finish and didn’t want to leave x

Only one thing I can think of is that It’s hard to get your bearings but that could be me as I have a rubbish sense of direction, don’t think anything could be changed in regard to that though, not a major problem and it wouldn’t put me off staying again.

The Viking is a welcoming and friendly hotel with a reputation for good value for money and excellent dining facilities. The meals are exceptional and the choices are ideal for most people. The rooms are clean and well kept, and even if a smaller room, are perfectly adequate. The added bonus of an in house cabaret/night club, the Talk of the Coast makes it a one stop venue with superb entertainment. The resident compare, Buddy, is brilliant and the choice of acts are as good as you could wish for.

The bed was slightly too soft for my liking, but that's a minor niggle, and the lift was our of order during our stay. This was inconvenient for the older guests and those with Mobility issues as there are quite a few stairs throughout the hotel.

Love the entertainment, and not having to worry about getting a seat. Food was good quality and plenty of it. Staff very helpful

The first room allocated was very dark and hot, looking out onto a rear fire escape with the bar fire escape across from our window, so very noisy when the door was open. We asked to be moved, told there was only one other room available and a young lady came out and told us it had a view not much better than we had, or they could try and accommodate us in a sister hotel. I went to look room on the 4th floor , fabulous views and light and airy, a little smaller but a much better room we moved. The older lady on reception was fabulous and couldn’t do enough for us, the younger one didn’t seem bothered, but this could have been because it busy and change over day.

Lovely rooms, good food and entertainment. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Nice location, we booked a sea view and it was a great view.

This hotel is not very disabled friendly or good for people with sight or memory problems. There are lots of steps, and staircase, some with no rails and poor lighting. There are few signs on the walls telling you the directions to your rooms or the main areas of the hotel. The lift is not much bigger than a telephone box, so you often had to wait a long time to use it.

Fantastic location , could not fault the food it was amazing , James in the restaurant very efficient friendly informative. The managers should be over the moon with all the team from reception , bar , security , house keeping , front of house team and of course goes without saying the kitchen team . We will definitely be recommending and returning.

It would have been nice for the bar near reception to be open longer , however in all honesty it wasn’t a big drama there was another it just meant we bought wine by the bottle .

Great location, lovely staff, especially in the restaurant. Entertainment was good. Housekeepers also very friendly and did a good job of keeping the place clean

Bar prices astronomical, the bathroom was very dated and the taps didn't work very well. Very small TV in the room. The room overlooked where staff went to smoke on their breaks, in the mornings before their shift we could hear them being really loud. During the day this noise wasn't an issue but morning about 7.30am it is.

Great location, beautiful food & fabulous entertainment in Talk Of The Coast. Very friendly staff.

Rooms very dated 100% need a revamp.. Black mould in the bathroom was very off putting.. Room had a musty smell & window full of pigeon dirt. Lift wasn’t working which wasn’t a major issue for us but it was for the older residents. At nearly £300 for a 2 night stay I expected the rooms to better than they were.
