Almost everything, loved the fact that it’s an adult only hotel, was very relaxing during the day and especially at meal times. Love the location and we got a great parking spot on the premises. Our room was a sea view on the 2nd floor (room 238 I think) and recently renovated so was spotless, if the roof could be strengthened it could be made into a little terraced seating area just for the rooms along there - it would be fabulous. Entertainment was the best but please improve the seating, had a numb bum after a while 🫣 haha. Staff are terrific, throughout the hotel each and everyone made us feel totally welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We had a great stay from start to finish and didn’t want to leave x

Only one thing I can think of is that It’s hard to get your bearings but that could be me as I have a rubbish sense of direction, don’t think anything could be changed in regard to that though, not a major problem and it wouldn’t put me off staying again.

Love the entertainment, and not having to worry about getting a seat. Food was good quality and plenty of it. Staff very helpful

The first room allocated was very dark and hot, looking out onto a rear fire escape with the bar fire escape across from our window, so very noisy when the door was open. We asked to be moved, told there was only one other room available and a young lady came out and told us it had a view not much better than we had, or they could try and accommodate us in a sister hotel. I went to look room on the 4th floor , fabulous views and light and airy, a little smaller but a much better room we moved. The older lady on reception was fabulous and couldn’t do enough for us, the younger one didn’t seem bothered,but this could have been because it busy and change over day.

The Viking is a welcoming and friendly hotel with a reputation for good value for money and excellent dining facilities. The meals are exceptional and the choices are ideal for most people. The rooms are clean and well kept,and even if a smaller room, are perfectly adequate. The added bonus of an in house cabaret/night club, the Talk of the Coast makes it a one stop venue with superb entertainment. The resident compare, Buddy, is brilliant and the choice of acts are as good as you could wish for.

The bed was slightly too soft for my liking, but that's a minor niggle,and the lift was our of order during our stay. This was inconvenient for the older guests and those with Mobility issues as there are quite a few stairs throughout the hotel.

Food was first class and staff were excellent

The mattress was not comfortable when in bed you rolled out of it if you were near the sides as it was out of shape

Absolutely lovely staff, couldn't be more helpful, polite, or lovely. Really a credit to the hotel, from managers to porters and cleaners, all staff were exceptional. Wouldn't have ro leave the hotel if we didn't want to as everything we needed was under the same roof. Like the cafe bar to sit on during the day to chill and chat to staff and other guests, and then the restaurant and on-site entertainment later. And we couldn't hear the noise from the evening entertainment in our room.

Only a small minor thing, but understandable for the age of the building, not enough plugs, in our room anyway, not sure about any other room, but I did use an extension for the hotel for a cash deposit which was returned to me when I left.

Staff very friendly and the food was excellent and plenty of choices. Had a lovely sea view room and managed to get a parking space. Entertainment was really good too and also bingo was on every night. A trip to fleetwood was available if we wanted to go, will definately go again when weather is better it will be even better. Directly opposite a tram stop, good location.

maybe a lick of paint and new carpets, some areas were frayed and was having to be very careful in some areas of loose carpets!

The food, room and Monday/Tuesday entertainment was amazing.

The lift was broken so my mum struggled up 6 flights of stairs daily. Wednesday and Thursday entertainment was ok but I found Buddy Lee the compare rude and intrusive with a little bit of insensitivity. Lots of people seemed to like him though.

The food was great, plenty of choice and well cooked. Location right by south pier / pleasure beach and casino. Evening entertainment good. Would I stay there again.....YES.

This hotel is what it says on the tin, 2 star, BUT a very good choice. Too many stairs to be suitable for the disabled.

Sadley to say, people be careful, a certain amount of money went missing , my sister came home after a fabulous stay, and noticed she had left money in a envelope in the drawer in her room, she phoned Viking straight away, the person who she spoke to found the envelope in the drawer, so my sister went back to blackpool for the money, did not open it till she got home, and 90pounds short...they was good about it said they would look into it, but No was the answer, my sister informed the police about it, they was very good...but its your word against theres. So people be aware that all I'm saying, my sister would rather git it to charity that have it ..........

Breakfast was great ,plenty of choice .dinner really nice again with a choice of four mains .great entertainment,and a chance to book a table .

The lack of lifts to all floors if any at all ,looking at other reviews the lifts haven't been working properly for a while ,considering this hotel is adults only ,it's guests are generally the older generation ,so a lot of stairs to climb is a drawback ,in the plus side a porter will take your luggage for you ,but on departure day we had being our own luggage down .
