Appears to be newly built with good facilities in the bedroom and a very good cooked breakfast.

Out room was not as expected. Confirmation from Booking.com refers to a seating area within the room (none other than small seat at desk) and how the entire unit would be on the ground floor and thus suited to those with a disability. Fortunately, we do not have a disability which is just as well as room on first floor with no lift (and no offer of assistance with our bags from the person who pointed out where our room was). Room small but well appointed. Owners and Booking.com possibly need to check on what information is given to customers. Photos slightly misleading as were expecting something bigger and grander.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Channels hotel and I cannot speak highly enough of the experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service. Breakfast was lovely and surprisingly had quite a few options! We stayed in one of their suites and it was immaculate, spacious, and offered a perfect blend of comfort and luxury. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep after our wedding day and the view from the window was simply breathtaking. The doorways are quite low so be mindful you’re tall!

Really nice rooms with lots of lovely little touches, umbrella, shoe horn, clothes brush. mini fridge in room, with chocolate, water and fizzy drinks to purchase. Good tea and coffee making facilities. Lovely bathroom, with bath robe. I was only there one night, would love to have stayed longer

My only complaint is the doors to the rooms are quite heavy and revelers returning from the party being held were none too quiet closing their doors, also the fridge compressor is not silent, so judders on and off through the night which is a little disturbing

We could have our 4 cats with us, breakfast was great. Very clean. Charming staff very helpful. Lovely big rooms, brilliant bathrooms and cupboard space. Very glad we went, would definitely go again in summer when the evenings are lighter to go to dinner. Price was reasonable! Can order in from Chinese etc for delivery! Had a nice fridge. Atmosphere lovely, peaceful and calming. Well kept grounds. Was nice to see wedding parties on Thier way to wedding as they had a brilliant honeymoon apartment and a place reserved for them to get ready with beauty salon etc

Had to walk to another place for dinner. Brill food but walking in dark over carpark with wheeled walker not great! Didn't like the stoney, gravel car park. Not good for disabled! The advertised pool was not on site it was in Chelmsford, had no way of getting there if didn't have car and booked hotel for the pool! Food at the barista quite expensive but very nice!. Would have liked a microwave and food utensils plates etc! Beds were very uncomfortable for someone with Fibromyalgia and ME. Would benefit from using memory foam. Double beds were actually two singles put together.

Nice facilities, helpful staff. The manager even leant us a phone charger as my partner broke hers during our stay. Breakfast was great and the pub restaurant area was great. The menu was really modern and innovative and catered surprisingly well for vegetarians/vegans.

I totally blew out a tire on a terrible pot hole on the road up to the hotel at a corner where it looks like a car was recently dumped and burnt out and there is still debris in the road... This was of course NO fault at all of the hotels at all and I'll be taking it up with the council but I hope the hotel do to as could happen to other guests. Everything else about our stay was so fantastic. Having to change a wheel in the carpark almost felt like a funny memory 😄

DOUBLE ROOM!! WoW what a great looking room decor is fantastic maybe not to everyone's taste only if you like alot of Oak wood the ensuite is exceptional a complete wet room with a overhead shower but be careful, water escapes and puddles start forming into the toilet section also onto bedroom carpet. Breakfast was fantastic with a massive selection to choose from and all staff very friendly. Restaurant on the night very dog friendly food ok and drinks very expensive beware.

Nothing.

Excellent customer service from the man who greeted us. Lovely room in immaculate condition with plenty of crockery and glasses. The bath and shower were very nice and we enjoyed the jacuzzi function! The bed was very comfortable and the USB chargers were very useful. The breakfast was delicious. There was plenty of space in the car park.

The air con unit was difficult to use as the remote control's display wasn't clear. I couldn't find a price list for the items in the mini bar.

Loved the privacy of the rooms, all well thought out. My one gripe is when hotels do not have mirrors in front of dressing tables. This was obviously designed by a woman as not only did it have a large well lit mirror but plug points with easy access!! Well done! Bathroom was really spacious. We had a lovely stay and will definitely stay again.

I think breakfast could have a bit more choice, only thing to eat was Full English, however they were really helpful with lactose free scrambled eggs so thank you!

What a place, feels like home and great for that mid-week business stopover, i was travelling from the NW to Cambridge then on to Southend. The Bistro is perfect, with great food at reasonable prices. Ash Room, which i had was quirky, but beautifully done with a stocked mini fridge. Breakfast, there was a choice of a good variety for everyone, including Childrens menu, also being served from 7am which is great if you needed to on the road early.

The room had the basic amenities we needed. Lovely spacious and modern bathroom with a huge bath. Comfortable bed. The breakfast was one of the best I've seen any hotel offer in recent times. Daniel in the coffee shop was fantastic and the receptionists were friendly and welcoming. I'd recommended staying here. Great that parking was free and plentiful.

Would have been 10/10 if you could have a "proper" machine-made coffee included with the breakfast as opposed to the coffee containers.
