The room and facilities were exactly as advertised. Staff were welcoming and friendly. I used Abode as my base to get ready on the morning of my wedding and then we stayed there afterwards also. The room was spacious and more than comfortable. Perfect for our needs. Breakfast was also exceptional and the service in the brasserie was exceptional. The view over the racecourse is also a real treat.

The pricing is at the higher end and it would have been nice to have some little extra touches for that. With hindsight I should have planned ahead and asked for things such as an ice bucket in advance. I did get a call from the concierge the day before my stay and I didn't use this opportunity really. I thinj if they'd have asked the reason for my stay maybe they could have offered me additional things for the room or services which would have made things even more special.

Loved everything about the property, the bar area for the breakfast was 5 star staff very professional my only criticism was 5 months ago I dropped in to say that we had the room booked for our wedding but check In was at 3pm we got married at 3pm the staff member said all we can do is book the hotel the night before as well as the Saturday… we went back In two weeks later and two nice ladies said we can leave the bags with them in the morning , apart from that fantastic

Breakfast was 1st class. Eye for detail, high quality ingredients and attentive service. Room had a really lovely view over the race course and set the room off. Everything was fresh and clean with nice toiletries and the option of a mini bar. 5th floor bar of an evening had a lovely atmosphere, serving what I’d have to say to be one of the best cocktails I’ve had!

The stay was in honour of our anniversary, which was noted on the booking. As a personal touch it would have been nice if this had been acknowledged at check in or in some way. Although breakfast was without doubt brilliant. My partners main breakfast had been overlooked, so we ended up eating separately. The staff were apologetic and swiftly resolved. Parking of £10.00 seemed rather steep to park when it was the hotel car park, but accept they are situated in the city centre. However don’t know if that’s £10.00 for your entire stay or increases in additional days stayed.

We had a private dining reservation for work. The food and service was excellent. The beds were very comfortable, rooms clean and spacious, lovely views over the racecourse. All staff friendly and smiling from check in to check out. The bar on the fifth floor was well set out, lovely to sit on the balcony, with delicious cocktails. Breakfast service was quick, and again the food was lovely and cooked to order and served with a hot drink straight away. So close to the centre too and handy for the racecourse. Would 100% stay again.

Great comfy bed, very friendly staff who were very helpful. clean rooms, a great view, and a nice breakfast. Great location close to the center of Chester. Have visited before and would visit again.

Some elements of the room (desk) were quite tired looking and in need of some TLC. The shower was a bit too powerful for the screen/tray. The bathroom floor got a soaking :D Not many veggie options at breakfast. sure last time there was a veggie breakfast option. Breakfast was great for me. not so much my partner

The Receptionist was super friendly and professional, which gave an immediate first impression. Restaurant staff on the 5th floor were extremely helpful and friendly. Afternoon tea was the best I've ever had, it was out of this world. The rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean, with stunning views over the racecourse. We will definitely be returning.

Although our room was very nice, I was disappointed as I had booked 2 deluxe rooms and thought they would be far superior. I also had a terrible night's sleep on the poor quality pillows. Breakfast was poor., everything was hard, as thoughnit had been kept warm for an excessive amount of time. But the waiter was very apologetic and immediately got a freshly cooked replacement for me.

The hotel is located within easy walking distance to the centre of Chester. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. Staff at the hotel were helpful and friendly. The price for the room was very competitive.

Our room was cold when we arrived and it took quite a while to warm up to an acceptable temperature. The bar and bistro was also cold. Other guests expressed a similar view. The bar prices were high. As a result of these two factors we chose not to use the hotel's bar and bistro facilities.

Friendly welcome from reception, all the staff in the hotel were lovely and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable, especially the fabulous beds, we slept very well. The restaurant and bar were both very good.

Not been able to access other floors due to security, as we were on the fourth floor and our daughter was on the first floor. Also the breakfast was excellent but you should serve beans with the full English 😋

Very very thin walls to the adjoining room. We were woken up by our bed literally bouncing and rocking along with the activities on our neighbour's bed - I've never known anything like it! I can see the funny side, but might have been less amused if I'd been travelling with, for example, my elderly mother. Also, the parking is rather expensive.

The breakfast was lovely staff were lovely only thing I did think was wrong was you couldn’t sit were you wanted for breakfast if you were in a standard room like me and my friend we were sat further down from ppl who had stayed in a higher graded room also we were first down but were served after ppl in the higher class which annoyed me a little we paid to stay there so should have had same service but must lady on reception in the day was so lovely no judgement with her treated ppl the same 😩
