My room was at the top of the stairs next to one other room. I had a private bathroom, which was less than ten steps across the hall. Overall, it was very private and cozy with a softer bed for a change, nice linens, nice pillows, a kettle, and plenty of tea, coffee, and milk to enjoy in the room. It had a small window overlooking the street, and I was able to open and close this to adjust the temperature of the room. It was a short ten minute walk to the train station, and perhaps twenty minutes to the city centre. There were plenty of shops and places to eat within a five minute walk. For the price in a nice historical city, I was impressed! Although I didn't use the bus system, there are several stops within steps of the property.

Nothing, really, but it would have been nice to have access to a refrigerator in a common area to store a few food items. I didn't ask, so maybe it was available.

The room was lovely, nicely decorated, light, and bright with plenty of home comforts. The bed was comfortable and the location was tranquil, barely any traffic could be heard at night. Parking either out front or on the roadside was very easy. There is a lovely cafe only 10 minutes walk away where we had brunch and a Co-op and Sainsbury's local also close by for other necessities. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return should we be in the area again.

Possibly my mistake (I hadn't packed one) and I didn't trouble the host to ask but there was no towel left in the room for use when washing your hands.

The bedroom and bathroom were very spacious and clean and the tea-making facilities were a lovely bonus! The free wifi helped keep my son entertained whilst I was getting ready. The beds were extremely comfortable and we both slept extremely well. Communication was excellent!

I would have like a mini fridge in the room just to keep my own drinks cold. Parking was very tight on the property and I struggled to get my car out (but there is ample parking on the street!)

Had a very warm welcome from the host. The room was very clean as was the hallway and stairs areas. All the staff were friendly and helpful Bed was very comfy Was situated just outside city centre with just a 20 min walk to the centre of Chester

Room was very warm with just a roof window to open and couldnt leave it open with the blind down, so although we kept it open at night, as soon as it got light outside this woke up and had to shut the window.

Great location, really friendly host, good price

Banged our heads so many times on the slanted ceilings I've hurt my neck( we are quite tall though, but wasnt mentioned). Little details like empty coffee sachets in the tray and the batteries in the TV remote didn't work. Was a bit chilly overnight, but then the radiator came on full blast in the morning and was against the child's bed. Just little things but worth mentioning I think. Didn't know where to leave the key as we left early and no-one around so left it on the front desk

clean, tidy and warm. easy access to keys, I was a last minute booker. friendly staff. decor was fresh and modern. I loved the velux window, and will have long lasting memories of sitting in the room listening to the rain. when my room was refreshed, my travelling companion was treated with respect and given his own cushion (see photo)

I struggled with the last few steeper steps to access my room towards the back of the building, but that is my issue, not the hosts and if I had booked in advance I am sure that those needs would have been mutually supported. all 5’5’’ of me didn’t have an issue with the en-suite, but taller patrons may do.

Room very spacious, clean and comfortable.Very good location as only a short drive away from Chester zoo which was our whole purpose.Owners seem very nice and was welcoming, would definetley come back.

Shame there's no cooked breakfast avaliable however we knew this before booking and with a pub opposite which does evening meals and breakfast, this was no issue.

Very nice big room looking over the road. We got off road parking but there was space on the road aswell. Our room was listed with a private bathroom which I thought would be across the hall but we did have a big en-suite shower room. Nice and quiet and very comfortable

A couple of comfy chairs would be nice, but we were very happy overall

Fabulous overnight stay at Kilmorey Lodge, our room was huge with a lovely en -suite and looking out over the front on the property. Plenty of parking both at the property and on the road. It is within walking distance of the city centre, around 20 minutes or so, and also on a regular bus route. Lots of bars and places to eat locally, a lovely area to stay.

Nothing to dislike

Our family room was large and airy, with a large bay window to watch the world go by. It was in a brilliant location, walking distance to pubs and cafes. Only minutes by car into Chester. The hosts were great to chat to, and it was lovely to have tea & coffee facilities and a continental breakfast plus a little table to sit at. Second room we had was smaller but still lovely, clean and comfortable and also included a sofa.
